Terrible customer experience start to finish
Terrible experience with this company.
1. Sizing between styles is completely erratic and does not conform to their sizing chart in the slightest. I took my measurements and followed their sizing chart. I bought 2 styles and one is fine but the other is far too large. **This should be returnable under the Consumers' Right Act**, free of charge, as mis-sized items fall under the definition of misdescribed. (Hygiene exception does not apply). Luna refuses to honour this and are in breach.
2. Delivery took 2 weeks. They prominently advertise Royal Mail tracked, which would suggest a couple of days at most. You really have to dig into the details to find out that only the final leg of the dispatch is Royal Mail and items are shipped in from an international warehouse. When I queried the delivery time, they said they would investigate and get back to me. They never did.
3 Misleading information - their adverts suggest that their product is manufactured here in the UK (and that's why it's so expensive). But the fact that they are shipped from abroad would suggest otherwise. Couldn't find any information on their website about manufacturing location.
4 Hygiene exemption to the Consumers Rights Act means that these products are not returnable (except in circumstances such as in point 1) if the bag they are sealed in is opened. Instead of sealing the items indivudally so that when one is found to be unsuitable the rest can be returned unopened, they are all bundled together in one bag, meaning none of them are returnable.
So in summary, misleading information and selling tactics, breach of the Consumer Rights Act, poor communication, poor customer service.
Choose a better brand to give your money to.

Thanks for taking the time to lay this out so thoroughly. We'd genuinely like to address each of your points clearly.
On the sizing: our underwear is hand sewn, which means a difference of around 1 to 2 cm can occur between items and falls within the normal range for this kind of production. Because of that, this isn't considered a misdescribed product. As we mentioned in our earlier email, our menstrual underwear is a hygiene product, and once the seal is broken we're unable to accept it back for a return. This is in line with the hygiene exemption under UK consumer law, where the right to return lapses for sealed hygiene products once that seal is opened.
On the delivery: all the details about our processing and shipping times are available on our webshop, where we clearly state that order processing takes 1 to 3 business days and shipping takes 7 to 10 business days, as we ship internationally. We're sorry if you didn't receive a follow up after your query, that's something we'll take on board to do better.
On the manufacturing: all of our underwear is produced in our own factory according to our quality standards and with carefully chosen materials, so we can keep a close eye on quality throughout.
On the packaging: we bundle items together to avoid unnecessary packaging waste and work as sustainably as possible. We do understand this can feel inconvenient when one item doesn't fit, which is exactly why we offer our fit guarantee, so you can always exchange for a different size on your first order.

This was my first time using Luna and I’ll certainly be returning. The website is easy to navigate with detailed descriptions of their products and materials used. I was purchasing my myself and for my daughter (who is very early on in her period journey). They have an amazing selection of styles and fits to suit all body types. We couldn't try the pants just yet, because I am still waiting for the replacement with the wright size, so I can't say anything about how it works.

I believe this to be a scam company

Royal Mail state that it is being returned to sender and to speak to the sender. There is nothing I can do to resolve the issue. I will continue with my PayPal dispute to get my money back as I’m clearly not going to be receiving the product.
I believe this to be a scam company. The website reads as though the products are coming from the UK, when in actual fact they’re coming from China. Delivery takes a very long time, then when the parcel reached the UK, Royal Mail state on their tracking that it was not possible for them to identify the address despite my address being correct on my order. It is now being returned to sender, which is probably in China. I will be raising a dispute with PayPal to get my money back.

Our manufacturer is indeed based in China, and that’s a conscious choice. China has the right materials, technology and specialised partners to produce high quality menstrual underwear. All of our underwear is made in our own factory, fully certified and crafted from safe, premium materials.
About the delivery: it’s quite unusual for Royal Mail to flag an address as unidentifiable when all the order details are correct. Unfortunately that’s something on the courier’s side and not something we can influence from here, but we absolutely want to help you get this sorted. If the parcel is being returned, we can either resend it once it’s back with us or arrange a full refund, whichever works best for you.
Please send us a quick email at info@lunascycle.uk with your order number so we can pick this up straight away. There’s really no need to go through PayPal, we’re more than happy to make this right for you.

The Luna customer Service has been very helpful. They have explained everything to me very thoroughly. The Luna period pants are excellent quality.
