Update 16/11/23 Workers were all brilliant and polite 5 star for them. Customer service is a joke. Am still without my phone line 3 weeks since installation and booster plumas (wifi booster) hasn't... Mehr ansehen

Very polite and professional

Very polite and professional chaps. Installed fibre optic fairly quickly, and any mess was tidied up afterwards. Was given a very straight forward explanation of how the box and the router worked and even had a couple of devices connected up to see that the connection was working.

I was working from home today so there was a little bit of disruption, but in fairness, I was given the choice for the install to happen the following day after the ground work had been done outside. It was easier for the whole process to be done today. Internet already up and running.

SEAMLESS CHANGE-OVER AND INSTALLATION

The signing-up/ordering and arrangements for installation of was customer friendly and seamless.
Since installation there have been some minor glitches relating to loss of broadband and Calls; however these have been resolved satisfactorily.

Installation was done speedily with minimal disruption when a problem with the speed developed it was dealt with rapidly Now everything running smoothly

Poor support

We switched to Lothian Broadband on the 26th of June with the understanding that I would get back to them about continuation of our landline after a faily discussion. I have contacted support on numerous occasions to get the landline reinstated and as of today the 26th of July I am still waiting for the contract team to contact me on this subject

My installation was not an easy job but…

My installation was not an easy job but was done with great expertise and enthusiasm by the installation team....broadband has been faultless and as fast as quoted.

Brilliant experience 👍🏻

Brilliant experience. Installation was quick and simple. Engineers came on time.
Speed is above the estimate most times.
Only issue I've had is that occasionally the broadband speed would drop below 1mbs for the first few days after the installation but is seems to have settled now.
Generally great experience and highly recommended.

My internet went off after 4 days so it’s been off all this week and I’m going to cancel

Support non existent.

Very disappointed with customer ‘support’. Installation completed this afternoon (Friday). Connection failure on Friday evening. Called helpline. Only open 9-5 Monday to Friday.

According to their voicemail, their email support box is constantly monitored. My initial email was sent at 8:15 to inform them that our connection is down and asking if we could get an update as to what the problem might be. 5 hours later, I'm still waiting for some sort of update/response from Lothian Broadband.

fixed cable next day

Our broadband cable had been cut by water works underground and then filled over, but Lothian broadband were able to visit the next day and despite the difficulties fixed the cable and had our broadband working in under 90 minutes and left virtually no trace and worked very tidily. Great job guys, thank you!

Very helpful

Very helpful. The guys were happy to put the cable where I wanted it to go. They were happy to answer all my stupid questions. Installation was simple with no mess left. They updated my wi-fi credentials for sky and then showed me how to update the other devices. All perfectly straightforward. Thanks guys.

Unstable connection , worst internet in UK

Unstable connection, goes down during wind and rain, very slow, can't handle gaming, the worst internet I've ever used

Totally appalling Customer service and…

Totally appalling Customer service and not just the call centre. Company seems to have no clue what it's doing and doesn't give a flying F*** about it's customers.
2nd loss of service in less than a month and this time off for over 5 days. We are a rural community with no phone lines and are totally reliant on broadband. Many of my neighbours work from home.
We went down on Thursday, and Lothian Broadband were informed. Despite numerous phone calls from all the residents It was Tuesday before anyone came out to look and that was only after a neighbour had to physically go into the offices and complain
When the engineers did arrive they didn't even know where the signal was coming from until my husband advised them that they had changed the positioning of the antenna a year ago.
They told my other neighbour that we were the issue, I don't see how this was the case.
We are all served by the same receiver located on my neighbours roof!
I get the impression that now this is no longer a small local company they are only interested in their super fast fibre broadband in towns and villages and seem to have totally forgotten that it's rural communities like ours that started them off!
