Having purchased my log house cabin in March 2021, reference number P 4713, I have had nothing but trouble. The windows had to be replaced in 2022 due to leaks. I now have mould growing in two separate parts of the cabin. Having called log house out again I was told I need to get external cladding as this type of cabin is not suitable for Irish weather. This was never said to me when purchasing the Kilkenny model in 2021. I was told having the floor and roof insulated was sufficient to keep it warm in winter and there would be no damp. This Kilkenny model is now changed with different windows doors and roof to what I have as they’re no longer suitable. I feel I have been miss sold my cabin to make a sale. I have contacted log house to complain to no satisfaction. I have asked for a price to clad the outside to save it from allowing damp in and to change the doors to PVC, I am still waiting for a response. I previously asked for a price reduction to make the necessary upgrades and was told this was not possible. What was sold to me in 2021 as a sufficient and damp proof model is clearly not the case. I’m supposed to have a 10 year guarantee on this product. I expected more from this company. Your log house service team has all my corresponding emails.

We bought our house 3 years ago, the house came with a log house down back of the garden. We had a leak in the roof and the team at Log House came out and fixed it straight away. Fantastic aftercare service, would highly recommend.

Dunster house ,excellent product , took 2 days to assemble ,was solid and providing you have some basic diy skills should prove manageable for most.
2 small negatives ,the manual leaves a little to your imagination which for the price should be more comprehensive and delivery was a bit haphazard and should have been separated a little better to enable checking and assembly, but all in all a positive experience.

Cannot recommend longhouse.ie enough, absolutely fantastic from the beginning to the final cabin installation. I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of purchasing a log cabin.

Would give 5 stars only we found communication a little difficult at times, as in the person we were dealing with being impossible to contact, but in saying that they were really lovely and helpful, Eli in particular was great at answering any questions we had, it was a big enough process because we had an extension built.
The builders were not friendly at all bar one, the main guy not helpful at all and this was commented on by others working on it, electrics were not finished even though we paid (I don’t blame loghouse for either of these issues are they are outsiders doing the building/electrics) we then had to pay another electrician to come fix it.
Regardless of how they were the builders did do a great job and we are delighted with our new extension.
We would definitely use loghouse again

If you are thinking of purchasing a log cabin, I would have no hesitation in recommending Loghouse.ie. I had heard very good things about Loghouse.ie and I knew from experience their cabins were excellent so I decided therefore to contact Keith in their Dublin office directly. I couldn't have made a better decision. Despite only phone/email contact, Keith was extremely helpful and made the ordering process very simple and answered my many questions. After my order was placed I was contacted by Eli who handled the whole installation process. I have to say a big thank you to him for helping us out when on the day of installation there was an issue with our groundwork. He really went above and beyond to ensure our cabin was installed on time. The build team themselves were excellent and extremely fast, they liaised with my plumber and electrician so they could to do their first fix, they went over everything with me and checked I was happy before finishing up and left my property clean and tidy. The painter arrived within one day of the build being completed and also did an excellent job. I couldn't have received a better service and the finished job is excellent. The exterior insulation was one of the best additional features we purchased as the heat that the cabin retains is fantastic. We are so happy with our cabin and delighted with the service we received from Keith, Eli and all the team.

My logcabin has just been put up. It took the workers a little less then a week. Incredible work. It looks fabulous and now I just need to fill it with my stuff. From the first day I walked into the showroom to right now, it has been exceptional customer service and a wonderful experience. I will be advising everyone I know to buy one and to buy it from loghouse.ie.

Been looking for an office for ages got so many people not returning call was a pleasure to final get someone who was helpful, Steve in the Cork office in Hanley's was a great help, went thru the process and ensured I got the spec I needed, whole process was seamless, the work guys we excellent had the office 5x3m install within 2 days cant recommend enough

Great Company to deal with throughout the whole process! I started chatting to Dermot above in the Athlone showroom back in May then my cabin was built in September. It's now October 13th and I am fully moved in to the cabin. Couldn't be anymore happier with my cabin!! The crew that built my cabin were really nice and were easy to talk to, even gave me some ideas when it came to the finishing side of the cabin.

This is the 2nd unit purchase from Loghouse and as such confirms my confidence in this company and their product. Returning to Loghouse after a 10 year gap I found the same level of professionalism from the sales staff through to the on site installation crew. Pre order paperwork and confirmation of client the requirement was excellent, pre planning installation time frame and actual dated confirmed were delivered on, invoicing in a timely and business like manor. The installation crew worked hard on the install, respectful to the client, good on site communication, tidy on the install and on completion left the site tidy. On site hand over of the install was excellent. A seamless experience from the start to the finish. I would highly recommend this company and their products.

I can't speak highly enough of the service provided by Loghouse. The customer service throughout the whole process was excellent. The installation team who came onsite were extremely professional and helpful. We are so happy with how our outdoor office turned out, it is such high quality. I would highly recommend Loghouse if you are considering installing an outdoor cabin.

Got my Kilkenny 6m X 4m cabin 2 weeks ago and I could not be happier with it. From the time we met Keith and Aron in Wicklow to the workers who came to build it, everyone was so polite and friendly. The cabin was of highest quality. All the workers worked very hard during the build and were very tidy leaving the place spotless. We had one small issue because of the heat we got in September where one of the pieces of wood going down along one of the corners contracted and started coming off. I emailed them (as requested by Loghouse) and they came very quickly and sorted it.

I purchased a log cabin from this company and so impressed with the quality and build in such a short time.The service and back up support I received from Stephen o Driscoll in their cork base was first class.I would highly recommend this company to any interested buyers

The lack of communication from management was the issue I had with Log House.ie.

Delay after delay due the lack of communication compounded the build.

Robert Daukintis the Head of Sales of loghouse made promises after promise about when we would get the replacement internal door. It took 6 weeks from when the build was complete to when the replacement door arrived and was installed. It took initially 2 weeks for anyone at head office in Dublin(Even the salesman had trouble with the communication) to respond with time line of when the replacement door would arrive and another 4 weeks with promises made and broken before the door was installed.

Loghouse.ie asks for full amount up front before the cabin is build. This means that you have no leaverage to get and snag fixs done in a timely manner.

In hindsight I should have negotiated paying 90 percent up front and the last 10 percent once everything is completed to my satisfaction.

My advice to anyone buying a cabin from loghouse.ie is to keep 10 percent back until everything is completed properly. Money is the best leverage to get companies to finish jobs properly.

However, the cabin is now complete after a 6 week delay, and it is a great product, and we are happy with it. Our salesman at Fernhill in athlone was outstanding to deal with and was just as annoyed and frustrated as we were with all the unncessary delays.

Anyone buying from this company needs to negotiate to hold back 10 percent of the price so you can get any snags finished in timely manner.

Update 10/11/2023. Despite the below reply we’ve had no direct contact from Loghouse. My mother can’t even close the bathroom door. I don’t mean lock I mean close the door. There is now condensation forming on the inside windows and piles of rubbish all over the site. The condensation is clearly due to the fact they forgot to install windows and the rain has soaked the interior of the house. The carport still hasn’t been finished and there are planks of wood awaiting installation on the ground.
What annoys me the most, besides the lack of communication and the botched work, is that they are making their supplier my mother’s issue. That is not our problem, it’s theirs and instead of biting the bullet, as any well intentioned company would do, and get the doors elsewhere, they let an elderly woman in this situation.
Embarrassing!

8/8/2023 Still waiting for the cabin to be finished. Already one month late. Wrong windows came and needed replacing. 2 windows were forgotten so the rain has been coming into the cabin from the beginning. Warped inside doors. My mother is elderly and is currently living in a caravan awaiting completion. Paid up front and everyone is blaming suppliers for the problems and not taking responsibility. Absolute nightmare. Rubbish and bits of wood are thrown everywhere inside and outside. The flooring also has sustained some scratches and stains.

Longhouse was quick to amend an issue and I’m now very happy with the finish my cabin looks beautiful and I recommend them .

I can highly recommend Loghouse.ie if you’re interested in getting a cabin. From meeting with Steven O’Driscoll in the Cork, he made the whole process easy and a pleasure to deal with. Highly efficient and very professional. Then came Alvydas and his build team to install our cabin. They came Wednesday morning and were all done by 12 noon on Thursday. Their work rate was exceptional and he consulted with me through the build. Unbelievable work rate and yet again very professional. We could not be happier with our experience from start to finish
