Worst website ever to book a train ticket. Tatkal has become a dream. Either the page become unresponsive or the load is very high and nothing moves. The changes done in the website was being done... Mehr ansehen

Hygiene and cleanliness in India…

Hygiene and cleanliness in India Railways has always been the point of discussion. After introducing IRCTC it was presumed that a standard will be maintained. They also did so in their initial days, but as the time flies everything is going to worsening stage. I was travelling by Lucknow swarn Shatabdi today and received a tea kit in a condition that it looked like it was kept somewhere near garbage area. Lots of stain on the packet made me feel not to touch the packet for the health point of view of self.
Don’t really know if things will get better in Indian railways (The most revenue generating organisation for India)

During meals I don't feel it was good
In morning meal poori cholle taste was very bad ..and during lunch daal was not good and paneer not found good
So please improve your meal system in train

Horrible experience in Do-Dham Yatra Package Tour

My father (a 64 years old Senior Citizen) had booked himself on the IRCTC Do Dham Yatra Package Tour (24th May 2024 to 31st May 2024) - to cover Kedarnath & Badrinath. The entire experience was hell-ish and terrible.

In spite of IRCTC Helyatra site being solely responsible for Helicopter booking for the Yatra, IRCTC did not arrange for helicopter tickets for the passengers. Instead they were asked to purchase tickets directly from the site. The IRCTC Helicopter booking window started from the 10 April of 2024 for Kedarnath Yatra which requires Yatra Registration Number However, IRCTC only provided the Yatra Registration Number on the 6th of May 2024 afternoon at around 4 pm. Immediately when he tried to book the helicopter tickets, all tickets were already sold out for the specified dates as per the IRCTC itinerary. My father was verbally assured of the helicopter tickets by the booking person, Debayan Banerjee. He said that the Tour Manager would arrange locally offline in exchange of cash payment. Ultimately nothing happened and my father was forced to go to Kedarnath and come back by pony at this age with a damaged right knee joint and lower back problems.

Additionally, there was total chaos for the journey from Sonprayag to Gaurikund and back. The passengers were forced to take the journeys fighting huge crowds of yatris. There was absolutely no help and management from IRCTC and it seemed that they had come on their own as common tourists individually.

IRCTC did not make any special Puja arrangements at Kedarnath and Badrinath with additional charges as appropriate. All passengers were forced to be in the queue for 7-8 hours just like individual non-IRCTC tourists.

In the light of all the above issues, the passengers never felt that they had gone with a company like IRCTC as part of their packaged tour.

My father had gone on a single occupancy package by paying a sum of Rs.76,200. He was forced to stay in a shabby, sub-par hotels in Guptkashi on the 25th and 27th May 2024 - and made to check in at around midnight. However, all other tourists were made to stay at the designated hotel named Somaya Hotel.
Before booking, Debayan Banerjee, the booking Manager showed my father Whatsapp images (25-04-24) of good Kedarnath hotels like Kedar River Retreat (Rs.6552 tariff) and Hotel JPG Palace (Rs.5242 tariff). Accordingly, he booked the package on the 29th of April. But he was shocked when he was forced into a 6/7-bedded dormitory along with many other co-tourists including lady tourists on 26th of May at Kedarnath with non-functional toilets and no food.

In the light of the above, IRCTC seems to be a total cheater and non-performer in conducting this Do Dham Tour Package where mainly senior citizens and aged persons go. Absolutely NOT RECOMMENDED.

Worst train experience ever....

Worst train experience ever....
Can't imagine a train can be late for 18 hrs. In this extreme temperature how can a special train which runs for peoples convenience be so late. Really this train should be boycotted. (PURI NDLS SPCL)

Nothing ever goes right with this site

Nothing ever goes right with this site. Government sites are not user friendly and IRCTC is the worst amongst all. Average people of the country are paying taxes from their hard earned money and yet the government is not bothered. The rates are very high and seats availability close to nil. Everytime you get an chance of booking site throughs u out of login.. even 1 star is too much for this worst site. Govt is looting average people in the best way it can and probably would be looking for more such ways.. pathetic

the worst service provided by Indian…

the worst service provided by Indian govt for passengers.
No train will reach on time and Also the irctc website is so pathetic to use as it stops working due to huge traffic while ticket booking especially in the morning around 10AM(AC) & 11AM(NON-AC). At least they should work on the site to speed up and maintain the stability in the huge traffic as well.

Why the malwa Express 12920 is so late…

Why the malwa Express 12920 is so late . It is about 8 to 9 hrs late. What is wrong about rail. Why don't you have another rail for passengers to reach on the time.
Is it not your responsibility ?

All the passengers paid the full fare of train even when we suffer. Why don't you provide another train in such situations.

Journey of vande Bharat to ernakulam to kannur

It was a nice ride . I loved it. The food was nice for breakfast veg it was idli and sambar and chutni.everything was super but. The seating arrangement in our compartment was backwards means the view is going back not forward so we had a discomfort while looking like that. And we had vertigo or giddiness

I recently took the Char Dham Yatra…

I recently took the Char Dham Yatra organized by IRCTC in May 2024, and it was an extremely disappointing experience.

**Flight Delays:** The journey started off poorly with significant delays on both the outbound and return flights operated by SpiceJet. These delays caused major disruptions to our itinerary, leading to missed connections and a rushed schedule. The lack of timely communication from the airline only added to the frustration.

**Accommodations:** The accommodations provided were far below acceptable standards. The rooms were dirty and poorly maintained, with stained linens and unsanitary bathrooms. The facilities were not as advertised, and the overall comfort level was severely lacking. After long days of travel and pilgrimage, the poor state of the accommodations made it difficult to rest and recharge.

**Food:** The food quality was abysmal. Meals were bland, cold, and lacked variety. The hygiene standards of the food preparation and serving areas were questionable, making it difficult to enjoy the meals. There were no provisions for those with dietary restrictions, leaving many passengers with limited options.

**Transportation:** The bus hired for the yatra was another major issue. The vehicle was not equipped with air conditioning, making the long journeys extremely uncomfortable, especially in the heat. Additionally, the seats were not push-back, leading to a very uncomfortable travel experience. Given the arduous nature of the pilgrimage, the lack of comfortable and functional transportation added unnecessary stress to the trip.

In summary, my experience with the Char Dham Yatra organized by IRCTC was a complete disaster. The significant flight delays, poor accommodations, substandard food, and uncomfortable transportation all contributed to a highly unsatisfactory and frustrating pilgrimage. I would strongly advise others to seek alternative providers to avoid such a disappointing experience.

Vande Bharat train 22425 asking tips on 19th…

In Vande Bharat train 22425 on 19th May, 2024 found serving persons asking tips by whispering in the ears of passengers. This need to stop .. gives a very bad image of Indian Railways. Majority did not give but some were giving. Proper controls and checks required.
