The AA took me here after I broke down. I was charge £527.66 for a new starter motor, when I collected the car I was informed that one of the wheel nuts was broken and it need to be fixed, I took this to a different garage to be look at, and was informed that it was recently broken because the metal that was left was still clean, I showed the garage how much I was charge for a starter motor, he put on a new wheel nut for free and said “I think you’ve paid too much already”
also the radio hasn’t worked since they touched it, even after I put the code in
Less than a year later I broke down with the same problem , I absolutely refused to take it to this garage, even though the AA said I should, I just wanted to get my car fixed without them breaking more bits of it, I got this repaired at a different garage for £264.00, when I was handed the old starter motor I was told it was a cheap inferior part.
I have made a written compliant to the garage and handed it in along with they knacked starter motor, and have had no response for over 2 weeks, Before you have anything done here please check with another garage about price, I feel very, very ripped off

The service I received from Liam and Caleb at the Nene valley retail park, Towcester road Northampton depot was amazing , they were very helpful and polite. Explained the problem with my poorly car and fixed her. Excellent, I will always recommend them as I have now used this garage for a few years now.

My van had recently been to their Kettering branch 😡 and had been returned to me making a horrible noise which wasn't there previously. In all fairness they did tell me it was making a noise after the scheduled cam belt and water pump replacement but they also said it was a faulty fuel pump which would cost me close to £2000 😲.
I questioned this as a fuel pump doesn't just start making a noise after a Cam belt replacement. They insisted it was and I almost bought one. Then I complained to their head office as this was unbelievable. The next day I received a call from their area manager Simon.
Simon was very understanding and arranged for the van to be inspected at their Northampton branch by a top mechanic Luke, assisted by Dorin. They found the problem very quickly. Somehow whilst in the Kettering branch something had happened to the plastic timing cover or the crank pulley. The crank pulley had begun rubbing the cover to such an extent it had actually cut right through it in places. In & Out Northampton were efficient, polite and on the ball. Can't fault them at all.
The star rating is for the Northampton (Brackmills branch) Luke, Dorin and area manager Simon. Kettering branch would be a 1 star for almost costing me £2k with a bad diagnosis of a problem they created.
