Not usually fond of sales calls but Lauren on the phone was lovely and was able to change my view on them! Very assuring on the phone and explained how it all works clearly.

Overall survey was quick and the installation was smooth with no hick-ups. Brilliant!

A long overdue review

My view at the time of installation was that it was absolutely brilliantly done. ICS committed to be with us on a date and they arrived. Everything that was done was exceeding my expectations and the people that done the implementation and helped after was simply brilliant - friendly and helpful and reliable.

Tonight a year later I had something I did not understand and found the old emails again. Can't use names, but thanks a lot to J, who responded immediately to explain and assist with a resolution. It makes me once again glad that I ended up getting ICS to do the installation. Can recommend them without reservations.

My experience with ICS renewables was a dream from the first phone call to the survey of my house to my installation it was all done for me with no hassle and very little disruption to my house at all which we was very pleased with as we had just been renovating it for the last year!
It was all professional but friendly and I’m more than happy with the savings on my gas bill!

ICS fitted a heat pump and new radiators for us before Christmas 2023. They generally did a very good job, left the property neat, and their work was to a good standard. We have been very happy with our heat pump over the cold winter, and our energy bills are minimal over summer which is super.

They removed our old immersion tank for us, and any scrap that they removed. The fitters told me that our job was fairly straightforward, and although the system was the largest they offer, they completed the job in a day.

We had previously agreed that they would be back to fit a towel heater in our bathroom once we had purchased it. I have tried to get in touch to arrange an appointment several times, with no success. This is a shame, as their service was top notch whilst we were considering them, but the customer after-care seems lacking. I would appreciate someone getting in touch to arrange this appointment.

Trying to be honest, helpful and constructive is difficult when dealing with ICS since my experience has been very long, numerous cases of misquoting and failing to turn up for appointments. Long story short is my feeling that if your house is 'standard' and requires little customisation for your requirements, then ICS might be ok for you.

Our property is on the border of a large single or double/cascade heat pump and this uncertainty has made the experience far longer and troublesome than necessary.

The lack of accountability through a third party surveyor has also left me out of pocket with a survey that ICS have not been able to quote a heat pump system since we started talking five months ago.

We have had both a heat pump and solar installed with ICS since the beginning of the year and have been impressed with them on both counts.

Whilst we've had a few hiccups with the system everyone has been really helpful in getting them sorted.

I can't speak highly enough of Lauren, nothing is too much trouble for her and she's been an absolute star.

Stage 1: Adam Fox
Adam visited our property to outline how the process would work and build up a thorough plan for the finished installation. He answered all of our questions, even ones about other areas of our property nothing to do with heat pumps. He has been informative, reassuring and helpful.

He advised on external grants for the pump and extra support for changing to renewable services for our fireplace and Gas Hobs.

Stage 2: 3rd party review
Organised by Adam, we had a 3rd party give our property a thorough review for suitability and potential improvement reporting.

Stage 3: Jamie
Jamie's visit allowed us to solidify the plan. He reduced the original quote due to information brought to light from the 3rd party review. He was clear about how the installation day was going to go and helped us select the best new radiators going forward.

Stage 4: Scott
Scott the engineer came round next to put the finalised plan together so that installation day could be as smooth as possible. He signed off on all our requests. Nothing was too much trouble.

Stage 5: Installation
4 very friendly engineers came to do the installation. They were respectful of the property and worked with both care and speed. They showed us all the installation elements and trained us on the new technologies and controls. No waste or mess was left at the property. All was done before 3 pm on the day.

Finally, Adam came around to check the finished job and see how we were doing. (It was even his day off)

All in all, they have done a smashing job.

Had my heat pumps from ICS in 2019 and they've looked after me since. Just had solar panels from them.

Very quick fit but more importantly listened to me from start to finish and took my needs into consideration.

What we thought would be an initial 30min absolutely max 1h appointment to find out more about heat pumps turned out to be 2.5h of a guy telling us more about his family life than going through options of what the company provides and whether they would be beneficial to us. After asking whether we could afford a £200 audit he then called the audit company to book this despite us saying we'd need to talk about whether a heat pump would be the right thing for us. He booked another appointment for us for the following day as according to him there couldn't even be a week between these appointments. We emailed ics renewables with a bunch of questions and didn't receive a reply. After thinking more about it we decided to email them we would like to cancel the £200 audit and receive a refund. After speaking to the account manager on the phone the following day he said he would get back to us about cancelling the audit appointment. We didn't hear from the company and instead left numerous voicemails requesting an urgent call back. They picked up our third call today and told that the audit and the appointment the next day had been cancelled and we would receive a refund for the audit -£50. The audit company then called us on the day of the audit to say that ics renewables hadn't contacted them about the cancellation and we couldn't receive a refund.

We had solar panels and batteries installed 12/13 July and have no complaints regarding the installation team. All is working well. A Big however. Communication with ICS is dire. We have been promised our handover pack, to include warranties and certificates, on numerous occasions and nothing so far has been received. It should be done within 10 days of completion.Not even a receipt for our full payment made on the install date. We have not yet been registered with MCS. A huge disappointment especially the lack of engagement from senior management at ICS. We keep plugging away. Empty promises from the company.

I am pleased to report that following this review we received all the relevant documentation within a couple of days. The installation is working well and we are pleased with it. It was unfortunate that we had to put a review on TrustPilot and we hope in future, management will better support the administrative function to keep their customers well informed and happy, resulting in positive reviews.

We had solar installed with ICS in February 2023. Really quick simple install and snagging sorted promptly with some initial wiring issues resolved by the electricians. Super impressed. We paid up front £10k of
our hard earned savings with promise of required certifications to get us registered to sell back to the grid and meet the projections provided to us with as part of the proposal. Fast forward 5 months, and I’m sorry to say after so much patience on our part it’s now run out. We still have no MCS certification, warranties or guarantees. Certification is supposed under MCS regs to be issued within 10 days and to date we’ve lost over 5 months electricity generation chasing this, including a good proposition of the summer sun to help us recoup our outlay and be able to properly justify the costs for install. We’ve been told endlessly certification etc will be with us 3 weeks/ 8-10 days etc etc. Still no certificates, warranties or guarantees as sold to us and no confirmation with the DNO which we also need to register with our electricity provider. After going off my own back to speak with the national grid and obtaining a direct contact there to liaise over the information ICS state they still need to finalise certificates (noting according to the grid that this should have been simple to resolve via a quick call and that they are themselves following up with ICS) .
Alas, now another 2 weeks later and no one involved with the issuing of our certification at ICS is available to speak with me. I don’t take leaving bad reviews lightly but I’m sorry to say our patience has worn thin. This could and should have been such a different review if only the install had been finalised with the proper certification on time and that we are still owed.

I was was impressed with the sales pitch by Ryan we discussed type of system I could have which led to being persuaded to have 2 batteries and a flat roof steel racking system I was contact by George who ask me if about my enquiry and he send me a quote that I assumed was based upon what was discussed by Ryan
I instructed the company to proceed with the work
On the morning when the installers arrived at my property I instructed all personnel to drive around to my back gate because no access at the front door as the work was in the back garden
The roofer gave me some verbal abuse because I wouldn’t let it gain access through my house with material, tools etc he then sat in his van for 1 hour until contract manager appeared
The solar panels were fitted on plastic buckets weight down with bags of aggregate. The roofer spend 1 hour fitting the panels on completion after he had gone the panels were not bolted together
I contacted the company to ask if the roofer was coming back to complete the work but I was fobbed off with excuses and so I have completed the work myself
The experiences of the install left me physically unwell
I would not recommend this company to anyone I have stopped communication with ICS renewables because as customer i am wrong

ICS gave sound advice from the inception of the project, and kept us properly informed throughout. They listened to my preferences and generally complied to them, and adjusted the plan when we thought of better/different ideas. They had good communication skills and understood the system they were installing well. They turned up on time, cleaned up well, did not leave any rubbish around and left our house in fine condition. Everybody including the instalation engineers were friendly and respectful.
I am an engineer which means I am normally disappointed with quality of workmanship whenever I inspect final results, but this job was expertly done with minimum fuss to a high standard. I had the house repiped with copper, rather than go with the existing plastic rubbish nevertheless on a four bedroomed house it was completed tested and running in two days, one less than originally quoted. Overall I am impressed, which is hard to do. Scott, and the Phil the electrician were especially helpful. In summary after sifting through a large number of companies offering a heat pump installation I am glad I chose ICS. The price was similar to several other quotes, but overall the best value for money. The insurance certificate, government grant and warranties were all handled with a minimum of fuss.

I chose this company to put solar panels on our house along with a battery. Have to say am over the moon it’s been nearly three weeks and am already noticing a big difference on our smart meter will update my review when my first bill comes in to say how much is solar and what am saving since going for it. App is interesting as well, Overall job was good boys were polite decent lads. Office was good communication from begin to end - couldn’t have asked for more five stars thanking you

Very smooth and efficient installation. My battery was installed in the loft and this was done with no fuss or mess. I highly recommend this company

Well today was install day of the 15 x 405 Panels and a 6 Kw inverter plus batteries. The panel installers and sparky worked as a team and completed a professional install quite quickly. Communication to me, as the customer, was first class.
The pre install team of Sales Consultant, Surveyor, Technical Manager, and Admin Staff have been equally impressive.
As a retired Plant and Engineering Manager I would have been equally impressed had they been commissioned to complete a design/install in my Factory.
Hope the ASHP install, in a weeks time is equally as
professional.
