Fantastic Support and Advise
We are currently dealing with Tenisha at House Sales Firect on a property and she has been fantastic. Tenisha is quick to call, message and answer all questions. So far I would 100% recommend and use Tenisha as first point of contact for any house purchase interest. House Sales Direct seems like a really good company to deal with and we are hoping Tenisha will get us a new home later this week.

I chose to sell my property through…
I chose to sell my property through house sales direct. Through the process you deal with a number of different people from the company. However for me the last person you deal with is the most important as they see you over the line and sort exchange and completion.
I had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Will Crane. Will’s communication was second to none. Weekly updates plus extra when needed. Will always answered the phone if possible when I contacted him on his direct number. If he couldn’t due to being busy he always called me back at his first opportunity.
I actually built a really good relationship with Will which I really didn’t expect to do so with someone that was selling my house for me.
Will Crane is genuinely what I believe customer service used to be. Not like the normal crap service we seem to have come to just except these days. His customer service is personal, competent and very knowledgeable. If you’re using this company to sell your house or buy a property you will hope to have Will as your contact through the final process.
Thank you Will for making what was a difficult process, as easy as it possibly could be through truly caring about what you do.

House Sales Direct First time buyer
House Sales Direct have been wonderfully supportive during my first home purchase, Darriell was my first point of contact and he did everything he could to help the initial process, before handing over to Simon who dealt with the rest of the sales process. We did hit a few issues with the Solicitors side which caused some delays but, with the constant communication from Simon during this, helped to keep everything moving along to final completion. House Sales Direct have been great for my first house buying experience and I would definitely use them again in the future.

Strongly advise against using House Sales Direct (HSD)
When I first enquired about a property in August 2025, arranging a viewing seemed straightforward. However, immediately after the viewing I was placed under significant pressure to pay a £450 reservation fee, being told this was necessary to prevent other buyers from viewing the property. I was also informed that I would need to pay a £7,000 deposit if I proceeded (to be deducted from my purchase deposit). I was assured that there was no reason completion could not take place within six weeks. Based on this assurance, I planned renovations accordingly, expecting to receive the keys by September 2025 and move in by December 2025.
I later received documentation stating that my expected exchange date Would be the 15th of September 2025, and I was strongly encouraged to use one of HSD’s “approved” solicitors. I was told this would provide a “direct line” to HSD, remove the need for me to chase progress, and result in reduced legal fees. Initially, I had weekly scheduled calls with HSD, who verbally confirmed that the 15th of September exchange date was on track. However, when I contacted HSD closer to this date to confirm, I was suddenly told that this date had never been agreed and that exchange would instead be closer to the 15th of October 2025. Although this delay disrupted my renovation plans, I accepted it in good faith, believing the process would still be quicker than average.
From this point onward, communication rapidly deteriorated. Scheduled check-ins stopped, and I had to chase repeatedly. Eventually, I was informed that someone else had taken over my case. Calls were arranged that he failed to attend without notice, and when contact was made, I was given vague reassurances that “everything was progressing” with no actual updates. Due to the lack of information, I contacted my solicitor directly, only to discover that the purchase was nowhere near completion. Critical information had not been disclosed by HSD for months, including:
• An open insurance claim on the property
• Multiple outstanding charges from the previous owner that contracts stated I would be liable for – I disputed this and only after weeks was it confirmed that I would not be expected to pay these charges.
From the very beginning, I made it clear that the property had been left in an unacceptable condition and required clearing. This included a full loft of belongings, heavy wooden furniture, and a large fridge left for over a year that had become a health and safety hazard. I also raised repeated concerns that no keys were provided for the building, car park, or balcony. Despite constant chasing, HSD failed to resolve these issues. I was made to feel like an inconvenience for raising entirely reasonable concerns. Eventually, after significant pushback from the seller, HSD arranged for a removal company to remove only the large furniture, assuring me the remaining belongings had been cleared and that the seller’s family would not return. This was not true.
As a young female first-time buyer, I find it alarming that my purchase only began to progress once an older male family member with experience in property purchases intervened, at a stage where I was on the verge of pulling out of the sale due to stress.
I finally exchanged and completed in late November 2025. Shortly after, I received a car park key from the management company - which did not work. I was never provided with building or gate keys and had to rely on neighbours lending me their keys to copy. To this day, I still do not have a full set of keys to access a property I legally own.
After completion, I discovered the flat had not been cleared at all, contrary to HSD’s assurances. I had to hire an XXL skip at my own cost (nearly £400) to remove the remaining belongings. HSD agreed that the seller would reimburse half of this cost. This has still not been paid, despite multiple follow-ups.
I also later discovered that I had been overcharged for solicitor fees. I had been quoted a reduced fee by HSD for using their recommended solicitor, yet this was not reflected in the invoice I had already paid. Both HSD and the solicitor confirmed the quote was incorrect, and had verbally agreed HSD would cover the nearly £400 difference.
Months later, this remains unresolved. HSD have refused to respond to my solicitor’s emails. My solicitor has escalated this, formally stated that she is being completely ignored by HSD. I informed HSD that if the matter was not resolved by mid-January 2026, I would pursue recovery via the Small Claims Court. No action has been taken, and I am now proceeding legally.
