Had to email about 20 times and report to shopify before I finally got partially refunded on a pre order that was placed 16 weeks prior absolute joke. I’m still owed £3.50 for shipping I paid.

Hello Stewart upon checking we can see that you ordered the match attax 24/25 countdown Calendar and would of been sealed so this would of been a manufacturing issue and NOT a Hodges Trading Cards Issue, we were short delivered for release the item was dispatched on 11th October and would of arrived around 13/14th Oct due to the postage you selected at checkout- also please note that that there is a disclaimer on the calendar which says some items may differ from what is advertised and also just keep in mind we are an online store and don't have preference with most items when it comes to priority deliveries ( please read back of box carefully)

Avoid Hodges Trading Cards for Magic…
Avoid Hodges Trading Cards for Magic the Gathering pre-orders. They aren’t a proper Wizards store so they don’t get their stock from Wizards. They will happily take your money and convince you all is fine only to send a sketchy, half-illiterate email a few days before the launch blaming their supplier for the shortage.
Unlike when they charge you, they don’t let you cancel the order immediately, you have to wait at least 3 days.
Reading the rest of the reviews, this honestly doesn’t surprise me because one of the decks is selling for twice the pre-sale price. Either Hodges or their suppliers decided that it’s not worth the effort of keeping a customer happy so here I am writing this review.
Next time I will know to only buy from official stores that buy directly from Wizards.
I later also had issues getting a refund, mostly due to poor communication on the part of the merchant. They went on holiday and didn't set up an automated email saying that they will only respond to emails when they are back. It's a simple solution that I hope they address next time they go on holiday.
However, they also seem to have changed their policy and stopped taking the full price of the pre-order when they can't secure the product. For that, and the fact that I got a refund, I'm changing the 1 star rating to 2 stars.

Mr Rahle! we are with a supplier that is registered with Wizards of the coast and who purchase direct from them, we get our stock from Asmodee UK!
there is a shortage of stock for all stores including registered stores unless you hold tournaments which we do not! as the email stated we only were told our allocation today! as for other releases of Magic we have fulfilled in full.
in the future please reply to the email instead of going direct to reviewing we could of explained the situation more clearly! if you are unhappy you are more than welcome to contact the supplier directly
regards to canceling the order you can cancel at anytime but we asked for 3 days notice to inform Asmodee of the cancellation so they can make Wizards of the coast aware of it! if you want to cancel the order please email us privately!

Excellent service
Hodges ran a competition during my order and I won some free Star Wars Unlimited products. This was exhilarating to find out and my experience with them is fantastic. They are hopefully helping me with an issue I have moving abroad also which would be phenomenal.
