Do not trust HiPages
HiPages are scammers. They never clearly explained the subscription cancellation fees over the phone, and even after I told them to unsubscribe me, they continued charging my account. The whole process felt misleading and extremely unclear from the start.
If you Google “HiPages scam,” you’ll see countless complaints from other businesses saying they experienced the same thing. This company appears to be well known online for trapping tradies and small businesses into ongoing charges they weren’t properly informed about.
Worst part is dealing with the people on the phone who they hire from overseas to defend the scam. Avoid them if you want to keep your sanity. I got 0 leads and if I did get any they all looked like very low quality. Save your time and money and use advertising.

Before you join hipages, our cancellation policy is included in the terms and conditions that are read out to you over the phone. Once signed up, we send you a confirmation email with your package details afterwards.
We have teams in both Sydney and Manila that are well equipped to assist you in enhancing your experience on the platform if you’re struggling to either win work on hipages or receive the type of leads you’re looking for. If you do not wish to speak to a member from the Manila team, we can accommodate you and get someone from our Sydney team to contact you.

Had the best gardener ever- Dennis from ZENDEN GARDENS. His team are super efficient and work really hard. They take pleasure in a job , are punctual and clean up a treat. I would highly recommend them if your looking for a person you can trust to get a job done effectively and quickly Ours was a big job and took 3 of the most of the day. I thought price was great given the amount of time they spent her. It involved cutting back a fence line of trees, carting them through a narrow passage and 2 trips to the tip Dennis is a super star

Satisfactory outcome at reasonable cost.
I only received 2 contacts & 2 quotes. One was very high, the other very reasonable which I took and the job was done very professionally. Hipages helped the process by reminding the tradies to answer my texts to fix a date for the work to be done.

Rapidly got into contact with contractor companies who were both looking for work and had the capability to undertake the type and size of job required.
Rating and reviews from past hipages clients of each contractor gives more confidence.

This is where to go for great tradies
I’ve used hipages for 4 jobs recently, stump removal, dirt removal, window cleaning and laying a new lawn. All contractors responded quickly and did the job the next day. It’s a great service.

Hired a tradie through hipages for brickpointing, not only did he do a terrible job he damaged my home. Wanted more money to try & rectify, which I refused. I am now going thru the courts. I've used other tradies thru hipages all no good at all. Stay away from hipages please.

I had Malik fix my bathroom ceiling &…
I had Malik fix my bathroom ceiling & cornice the was sagging at one end. He assessed the situation, went to bunnings to purchase a new cornice & secured the ceiling & cornice. Painted his work & had a very reasonable charge for the work done.
If I ever need a handyman again it will be Malik....a really nice guy.

Last time using Hi Pages after two goes
This is the second and last time I will use HiPages. I needed sludge from a water tank removed from a full water tank. None of the trades referred to me could do the job, despite HiPages re-posting it in a different category (Pressure Cleaning)
The previous time I needed landscaping done. One turned up and never gave a quote, one quoted triple the going rate and one had never done landscaping in Australia before,
I'll stick to word-of-mouth or Google in future.

Sales Company Not Home Improvement
Hipages exists to promote tradies. Their business model is tradies pay them for leads. They don't publish negative reviews which is scammy. If you call hipages with a problem they say the agreement is between you and the tradie - there's nothing they can do.
Had a tradie show up and increase his price by 30% on the day even though he had seen the site when quoting, then would only accept payment in cash. We later discovered he had also damaged property. Hipages hid the negative review and said they had no power to resolve the issue because it was between myself and the tradie.
You sometimes get good tradies but it's hit and miss, and if you have a negative experience you are not protected.

Overgrown yard returned to good order…
The men who came to my home were very courteous and respectful. They worked very hard from 9.00am until after 6.00pm completing everything we’d agreed on to a very acceptable standard. They removed all the grass and clippings and put things back in very good order.
