Stay well away! Absolute thieves, who have zero customer service, accountability and customer service!! Impossible to contact and even when you eventually can by live chat or email, they don’t follow through and refuse to disclose information. How is this company still going?! Tried to cancel an incorrect order placed immediately after placing and was told it had been sent to the department and I would receive a refund - a day later receive a shipping confirmation - with a shipping number that wasn’t activated until two days later. Now told I will be charged a reject delivery fee, but no one will tell me how much!!! Additionally, last time I ordered a vacuum it was shipped and never arrived - took me three months to sort! I’m the fool for not remembering and giving them a second chance. They are a complete scam! I will be going to Office of Fair Trading this time!
Disappointed with Misleading Price Match Policy
I was really disappointed with my recent experience. Harvey Norman advertises that they will price match if you find a product cheaper elsewhere, but when I found my computer at a lower price and asked for a match, I was told “no” and directed to look at the terms and conditions. I find this misleading. If there are strict exclusions, they should be clearly stated upfront rather than giving the impression of a straightforward price match policy. It feels like a marketing promise that isn’t honoured in practice.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I have received regarding my recent order from your Swords branch.
On the 6th of April, I ordered a dinner table and 4 chairs, and arranged for delivery on the 11th of April. Unfortunately, the delivery on that day was not only incomplete but also defective. The two chairs were broken, and the table was missing essential washers and bolts. This prevented the assembly team from completing the setup.
On the same day, I visited the store and spoke to David in the furniture department, who provided me with washers. However, when the assembly team arrived again on the 14th of April, they found the washers to be the wrong size, and once again, the bolts were missing. This has now been a third attempt with no resolution, leaving me without a functional kitchen table or chairs for my son’s birthday, which was deeply disappointing.
This is not the first time I have faced issues with Harvey Norman. In January, I purchased a smartphone to be shipped abroad for my sister, only to receive the wrong colour. Unfortunately, because the phone had already been shipped, I was unable to return or exchange it.
I would appreciate immediate attention to this matter. At this point, I expect either the correct parts for the furniture to be delivered urgently, or a full refund for the damaged and incomplete items. Additionally, I request compensation for the time and inconvenience this situation has caused.

Don't trust their online store as they sell out of stock items without disclosure. I purchased a bar fridge (was about to buy from Amazon), but thought I'd support an Aussie business to only then be told it will take 3 weeks plus to ship as they're out of stock. You can't get hold of their customer service and they don't reply when you requested a refund. Avoid Hervey Norman online
I will never use HN again and will just use Amazon where it's flawless and you get solid customer service.

Is the online store just a scam? How is this legal in Australia? The online store should be ordered to shut down and Harvey Norman hit with a huge fine. I wanted to say they are the Temu of online retailers, but that would be completely opposite as Temu as it is more reliable with quality of service that the disgusting HN-online could only dream of.

$2500 spent on a fridge inc delivery.
The delivery guys were rude and completely out of order.
Wanted to charge for going up 4 steps, refused to take away any of the packing and dumped the fridge in the middle of the kitchen and left.
when we finally managed to unpack it and get it into place, we found that the water and ice function wouldn't work at all.
We now need a service guy to fix a brand new fridge.
Will not be back.

If i could give zero, I would. LG tv's went on sale, and within a day, I thought i had purchased a 65 inch tv online. money taken from credit card etc. Email informing of purchase. For six days "track order" reads as "processing"
After 6 days , i receive an email,"the fufillment store is out of stock", refund coming in 2-3 days.
Meanwhile this stopped me from buying the same item for the same price that was on sale at JB Hifi, because it went off sale 3 days ago.
Computers nowadays have near real time invenotry, and the purchase should never have been allowed to proceed. I"ll never shop at Harvey Norman again.

Made a purchase which was "online only" and after several attempts to find out if it was shipped, I was told that their trusted supplier would ship it and that they don't get that information. I must just wait the 10 days for delivery. Even though I received an email to say my other goods were shipped and I would get another email with these details. After 5 days I was then told that their "trusted supplier" had advised them that the item is actually out of stock and that they shouldn't have it on their website - THE ITEM IS STILL VERY MUCH ON THE WEBSITE!!!!
There is no number to call or speak to a person. All you get is a chat option or via email. And those people manning it have absolutely no training on how to deal with a client, who has reached the end of her tether.
WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED.
Oh and still now waiting for my refund.

I ordered a gym station from Harvey Norman, but it arrived with a missing box, making assembly impossible. The courier confirmed they lost it, but Harvey Norman denied it. Despite their "10 business day delivery guarantee," I had to chase them for a resolution. They kept saying it would arrive "tomorrow," but it took several more days.
What made it worse was that I had to track the missing item myself, constantly updating them instead of the other way around. They never kept me informed—I had to follow up repeatedly, wasting my time and even taking time off work to deal with this. Every time I asked for an update, they just said they’d "follow up and get back to me," but nothing happened. No compensation, no real urgency—just delays.
I work in retail for a major company, and we would never treat customers this way. Once they have your money, you’re on your own. Very disappointing service

Absolutely hopeless online business, I get better and quicker service from Chinese companies. Placed an online order and my payment was taken, after a week the order has not even been processed, and I have now been waiting a week to just get a response out of Harvey Norman. Keep on getting promised a response "within 48 hours", but never get one.

Harvey Norman are now selling wheelchairs via marketplace with Gilani Engineering. I returned a product as it was not fit for purpose 81 days ago. They will not refund my $8500. Harvey Norman is actively engaging in NDIS theft/fraud now.

Should have read the reviews before purchasing. Also wish I had never purchased an electric recliner. Customer service may as well be non existent for all the good they have been. Have a problem with the wiring on my electric recliner and need to purchase a new motor. Customer service ordered this and said it should be here in 3 weeks. By the 4th week I chased them up 3 times. She has just advised that part was never in stock and will be a month away. In the meantime I have been stuck with my couch in the recline position since before Christmas and I am moving house next week (end of Feb). They have no solutions. Bundall store.
