My husband got in touch with this company,through face book. Not knowing how things would turn out. We are very unhappy with this company, who advised us that we owed cancellation fees for 2 different claims, which we did not authorise, we paid the invoices, as we were hassled with phone calls and emails, every day. Just stay away

These people should never be anywhere near legal. The tiny amount of positive reviews can only be from staff members, as this lot are a complete disgrace. They cold call you and promise everything, deliver nothing, then charge you hundreds in costs, accompanied with threats. The reviews tell you everything about this lot.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Unless you want to get bills for a service they’ve not provided.

I stupidly signed up to getting a tax refund without reading all the negative reviews first. Many month’s later I received an invoice for their services, although I’d not received anything from HMRC, no refund, no letters or emails to say I had anything coming back either. Also Frederic Edwards weren’t able to provide any proof I had anything coming back to me, yet this company wanted their money, which was soon doubled after a week for a late payment.

Was promised a hassle free process, an wen I questioned these terrible reviews. I was assured my experience wouldn't be the same.

However today I recieved a £353.97 bill. An told to pay within 14 days.

Despite catching them lying several times in one call. An wen questioned further I was just hung up on.
Ironically wen I paid with money i didnt have. due to fear of repercussions and further escalations financially. My bank would not process the payment. As they believed I was paying a scammer.
An I think they were 100% correct.

I recently wrote a review about this company but need to offer a public apology as its wasn't Fredrick Edwards but their sister company Fredrick Edwards Associates. They have kindly pointed me in the right direct and have been very polite and efficient with their response. Please accept my apologies.

Had used this company a few years back for a ppi claim which I was happy with. They approached me a year or so ago saying I could claim tax bk thst the tax man shouldn't have took from my claim so I said ok go ahead I received 90 quid I think anyway today I've received a letter from hmrc saying I owe 50.80 back ?? I will be looking onto this

Please be careful with this company.

All of their emails were recorded as "scam" by my Gmail account, which of course isn't their fault. However it led me to miss emails of them requesting payment as my claim was "settled" direct by HMRC. As I want in receipt of anything (and my email didn't elaborate on the amount or where my settlement was sent to), I tried to look into it further and other people's experience of this company concerned me.

I ended up being liable for hundreds of pounds for the sake of a £50 odd cheque from HMRC that I had to chase up to clarify. Days and days of phone calls to HMRC and I can't understand why not only did they not send the cheque direct to Frederick Edwards, they sent it to my old address and several months later it's still not been reissued.
Technically Frederick Edwards have settled and done nothing wrong. Also, technically I've had zero settlement. I also don't understand how Frederick Edwards expect payment so quickly when it takes weeks/months for HMRC to issue a cheque. All things you don't think of on the initial call when you hear no win no fee.
Regardless of if they are in the wrong, I found them unhelpful and not pleasant to speak to. I also regret ever using them

Low life scammers won't use this company ever again asked them for help with HMRC but all I got was a bill for £1.000 pounds so I'm out of pocket

After being hounded by call after call I finally agreed to let them look at my tax for my uniform I was washing.....I agreed to this and this alone. After months of waiting I received a letter from HMRC saying they had sent a check of over 1300 to these people as my tax bracket was wrong. I never asked them to do this! I was told prior that it was only going to be the uniform tax they were looking at. When I spoke to them they told me it was in their terms and conditions that they looked into all tax issues. They swiftly took 40% and the vat and told me thanks! Be careful, they rely on people not to read the small print! They have terrible reviews for a reason. Do not use. You have been warned

Criminals in suits. They claim they can get money back for you and tell you no win no fee. Then they ask you to do all the dirty work. When you fail to get the relevant information (as most people would because we don't know how to) they start making lame threats and talking trash to you.

This company needs to be stopped from whatever they claim to do. They have just bullied my elderly parents into paying £93 for a service they did not even provide. Threatened them will debt collectors and that their credit score would be affected. How can they be stopped from continuing to do this???

I would leave 0 stars if i could. This outfit is a scam, a bullying tactic. If you're in with these guys already, ask for a SAR (Subject Access Request) transcript of all calls to you under GDPR Regulations. They have 28 days to respond or, they're in breach of GDPR which could lead to prosecutions. Let them take you to court, don't be afraid of them. Any court will see right through them and see their outfit as a SCAM.

I just wish I had read the reviews before I got involved with this company 😡 They take advantage of honest people who agree for them to claim money back in my case from HMRC on a no win no fee and they would do everything 😂 absolute lie They start by asking for more information which you don’t have they then hound you to ring Financial Companies for more details you cannot get this is when they send out scaremongering demand letters for not cooperating After hours on the phone at my own cost and trying my very best to get the information needed by them they then increase their demands and use the reason non payment of first demand which was for non cooperation This was because HMRC had changed procedures and won’t deal with a third party not my fault but of course they then use the “You signed the agreement “ It’s all about scamming money I ended up paying £72 only because my husband had enough of me worrying and making myself ill so he negotiated that if they closed account we would pay first demand. I urge anyone to STAY AWAY from Fredrick Edwards they are not nice people .

This company is a scam company who are nothing short of extortionate. They promise HRMC money back for tax, get nothing then sue you for hundreds. A disgraceful excuse for a company purporting to try and help you

DO NOT PAY THESE CHARLATANS! They took me to court for non payment of their bogus services only for the judge to throw the case out. Justice is served, Fredrick Edwards!

this company COLD CALLED ME iam a oap they said NO FEES TO PAY it was during me having to shield because i suffer with COPD no problem mr horne will try and recover some tax, i have little money, are you sure no fees, yes mr horne. this scamming company are taking me to court, they keep adding charges, i cant let this company carry on doing this

avoid this company like the plague, your not safe from charges even when your deceased, no remorse just add late payment charges when you cant provide the information they require which should be done by them. no win no fee what a joke wish i had read the reviews before i paid my late fathers fee, you dont get reviews like this by doing a good job, all you get is we have done nothing wrong you have a contract with us even when your deceased, its not the money its the principal and how they sucker you in and wont let go until you pay up to avoid further fees, im sure martin lewis would love to do a review on this disgraceful company, will look forward to the usual sarcastic reply from the review specialist they have working for them .( oh no not another factually incorrect review)

If I could I would give them no stars very unprofessional company that just bullying, they ill advised me and said i lied about my case, which I never did I asked them for recording of our telephone conversations because I know exactly what I said when I gave the information. They gave me a bill for cancelling my case even though they cancelled it not me on a no win no fee. I have repeatedly emailed them with no response other than them saying they not playing ping pog over email.

Whatever you do..do not use this company they are a fraudulent company who say they will provide you a service for reclaiming you PPi tax back and phone you up telling you that you need to phone the HMRC and claim you signed up with another company which they say is in their t's &C's and then use a recovery company called judges demand threatening that they are taking you to court to freeze your assets and put ccj's on your record unless you pay. They starting trying to charge me £29 because they say I signed up with a 2nd company and now it's gone up ton£209.97 for admin charges. I phoned the HMRC and they told me this company are not FCA registered and did not submit the ppi documentation after asking for it twice and then they try to charge you through threats from a recovery company called judges demand. Fraudulent stay away if you are of right mind. I'm reporting them to the legal ombudsman to stop other people from suffering the same fate
