I was grateful for feedback that was considered and showed how much time had been taken to understand my business. This is the first time I've received feedback despite not having a meeting which makes a refreshing change. I hope to approach Found Capital again when I am further along and will definitely be taking the feedback on board.

I really like Laurence and Found's approach to funding early stage start ups. They didn't end up offering us the cash but progressed us to one of their later stages. I really appreciated the detailed feedback they provided on why they both thought we had a great business but it wasn't for them given what their criteria is. This is something that is challenging as a founder when you (naturally) receive so many nos with not much more than lip service paid to feeding back why. Consistent feedback would have helped us refine our approach and get money faster I believe (which thankfully we now have) - so a change in approach could have a significant impact on the velocity of early stage UK businesses.

As with all founders we are making numerous applications for funding and most disappear without trace or comment. Founders was completely different, with great feedback throughout the process and an evident desire to be transparent.
