Great food freshly prepared and professionally delivered to my door
Dressed lobster, pulled beef wellington’s, cheese soufflés, petit fours and cured tuna and salmon were all excellent. Not inexpensive but delicious so worth splashing out on for a birthday weekend away in a glamping pod by a lake.

Consistently good
This firm supply consistently good food and they’re all lovely people too. I’m very fussy about smoked salmon; but F&F lean smoked salmon is an absolute treat I’ll never say no to!
I always order lots of goodies around Xmas from them to take the pressure off the cook. Everything is always top quality and completely delicious.

Really disappointed to read this, it sounds like we absolutely need to investigate what's happened here. If you still have the packaging we'd really appreciate if you could let us know the 3 digit code that's on the small yellow sticker, it will help our team enormously.
I'd always recommend contacting a company if ever you have a problem with an order, but here at Forman & Field especially we pride ourselves on our customer service and experience, its important to us that you're happy!

Message amendment on 16.10 - Hi Ms Macleod,
We've just had an update from our kitchen who have managed to pinpoint the problem. One of our chefs unfortunately made a batch of the terrines incorrectly, not adding the stock/jelly through the mix meaning the mould was only flaked ham, with nothing to keep it together! This was spotted quickly so luckily there weren't too many offending terrines leaving us like this, but unfortunately it does look like yours was a victim to this problem.
We'd love to fix this! So please e-mail us when you get a chance so that we can work out the best day to send your much overdue replacement.

Superb lobster bisque
Superb lobster bisque! A luxurious starter for my dinner party. The Coq au vin was delicious too, although ordered more than I thought I needed, but needed it all. Food arrives well packaged & chilled well.
It’s my second order from F&F & will certainly order again.

Disappointed with Beef Wellington and starter over seasoned
I ordered the Celebration Meal for two for our anniversary. It arrived on time and the packaging of the meal was perfect. Use of glass kilner jars gave a professional look. The printed menu was a nice touch although the starter was described as having been served at The Coronation at Buckingham Palace in 2013! Surely 2023!
I followed all preparation exactly. The starter of smoked salmon parcels with lobster and crab filling looked very nice and was a good size. However sadly they were so salty that we found them inedible. My husband likes food quite salty so for him find something too salty is unusual.
The main course comprised Beef Wellington, potato Dauphinois and vegetables. I expected a proper “beef wellington” made from fillet of beef, wrapped in a mustard sauce and a mushroom duxelle and a thin pancake or prosciutto. What we had was pulled slow cooked beef wrapped in cabbage. Unfortunately the meat was dry and the dish was not a beef wellington, it was beef pie effectively. I checked back on the advertised wording which does say Beef Wellington although the printed menu enclosed with the meal says pulled beef Wellington but . The vegetables and potato dauphinois were fine. The jus again I found lacked depth of flavour.
The desert was nicely presented but it didn’t get a wow. So sadly my meal overall was disappointing. I wanted to enjoy a nice meal without cooking but for us it just didn’t work out.

I'm really disappointed to see that we didn't live up to your expectations on this occasion. The Celebration Dinner for Two is a great seller and I know from feedback it's made a lot of people happy, so it's really disappointing to see that it didn't hit the mark this time.
We swapped our Beef Wellington recipe a few months ago as customers often reported that the old recipe didn't always cook perfectly. The old recipe was very much your traditional Beef Wellington, designed as an individual portion, but it's no good if it's not making people happy! Since switching the recipe it seems to have solved the problem, though I can absolutely understand how disappointing it must have been if you were expecting one thing but received another.
I've just checked the listing for the Celebration Dinner for Two, and though there is a link to the Pulled Beef Wellingtons, the description of the dinner doesn't explicitly mention that the recipe has changed, and I will be sure to remedy that. I'm so sorry for the disappointment.
With regards to the Paupiettes, these little fishy pillows are wrapped in our Smoked Salmon and it sounds like perhaps they were wrapped this time in the leanest cut. The top slices of the salmon side (the lean slices) will naturally be a lot more salty as this is where the cure hits the fish, and there have been occasions in the past where customers have reported these slices being too salty for their own taste. If you were to order this item again we could ask the kitchen team to prepare your order specifically with fatty slices instead of lean, which would be a lot more mellow.
Your whole experience is incredibly important to us, every big order to every small order holds just as much value to us. It stings to receive a 2 star review when we've not yet had a chance to fix the problem, if you're not happy with something we'd like to know so that we can make it right!

Sadly DHL responsible for lack of give stars
Unfortunately ( for the second time in nine months) this order arrived a day late and even then not within the allocated time.
The chilling gels were warm as was the lobster bisque and hence the latter could not be consumed.The Scotch eggs were very soft but edible.
We were In frequent contact with Forman and Field who were in in contact with the courier ( DHL) who in this instance were 100% to blame for the delay( as at Christmas). The dreadful attitude of the driver did not help!
We were given a full refund for the order and fresh lobster bisque was sent to us.

Thank you so much for the comments, I'm glad we were able to get it resolved in the end. We spoke with DHL about the events, but more importantly about the delivery driver's attitude, and he has in turn been spoken to. Things go wrong sometimes, such is life, but it's how we deal with them that's important. I just wish all of the drivers would adopt the kindness and caring that our team has, it's incredibly important to us!
We're grateful for you letting us know so that we could rectify it, I hope the bisque was delicious!

I ordered the chicken soup and due to an unforeseen complication a second batch was sent to me free of charge. The kindness of their representative is off the chart, her response was so fast and the delivery immediate. Best of all, the soup rocks. It’s perfect for this time of year or any time of year. I will not order produce like this from anywhere else. Fantastic service and produce. Thank you.

Thanks so much for the comments Joanna. We've actually just received another similar comment about the chicken soup so I think there must have been a batch problem here. The chicken soup is delicious, it would make no sense for us to sell a product that tastes like vinegar!
I'd always recommend raising any problems with the company you bought from, but with us especially! Your happiness is really important to us and it stings to see 2 star reviews like this when we haven't yet had a chance to fix your problem.
