I ordered samples and they arrived really quickly and they (Casey) emailed at the same time offering support and further discount, when I was ready to order they honoured the further discount and price matched the flooring that I had found cheaper on another website. Terrible experience and disappointing response(s)
I ordered 80+m (45 boxes) of flooring on Tue @ 15:50 and as FSUK offers next day delivery on orders of this size this meant Thursday delivery at the earliest but I was happy to accept Friday and arranged a day off and fitters on that basis.
When booking the order the website did not offer Friday only the following Monday. I booked the order and immediately messaged the sales team and the customer service team to make them aware (as promised) I needed delivery on Friday. No one responded!
I emailed them again on Wednesday. No one responded.
On Friday @ 9am i called FSUK and was told the order was out for delivery and would be delivered by 6pm but they could not track or confirm an ETA as it was being delivered by an external service provider who would call me 30 minutes before arrival
At 4pm delivery hadn’t been received so i contacted the customer service team who put me on hold whilst they contacted the logistics company, then I was cut off, no one called me back.
At 4:30pm I called again to be advised that the order wont be delivered today, it will be Monday which doesn’t work for me as I’m away on business next week.
I asked if it could be delivered on Saturday or Sunday and was told NO.
I asked if I could collect from the logistics company on Saturday or Sunday and was told NO.
I asked to escalate to a Manager and was told NO but they may respond in “a few” working days!
I asked for someone from the logistics company to contact me to make arrangements for a Monday delivery and was told NO that wont be possible.
I asked for a time window for the delivery on Monday and was told NO that isn’t possible.
I asked for a delivery after 2pm and was told NO that wasn’t possible as the drivers do deliveries in the morning and collections in the afternoon so it could only be morning!
So why wasn’t I told that this morning when the customer service team stated deliveries can be made up until 6pm!
I was told that i could still cancel the order.
I understand things can go wrong but how companies react and recover is what separates the exceptional from the average and it appears that no one in Flooring Supplies has the determination or authority to be creative and try to resolve to recover the situation, despite the customer attempting to go the extra mile to alert them that their is a risk that things look to be going wrong and offer multiple options to achieve a resolution.
Someone is supposed to call me first thing on Monday but i wont hold my breath. Perhaps David Barrett or James Holland will surprise me
