Total inability to speak with someone at Crowdfunder UK. The Crowdfunder website has some valuable features but I believe the optional “contribution” should be set at £0 and if those making donations wish to Chip-in to Crowdfunder UK they should be easily able to make a bespoke contribution.

It wasn't very user friendly and…
It wasn't very user friendly and chatting to someone for assistance was far too difficult. I needed help on various factors and it wasn't easy. The campaign ended and there was no option to keep it going. Yes, while the "always on" is enabled, I wanted the campaign live as I had messed up the start/end date in the beginning.

Toilets for Bowmen
Did’t work for us - not really a suitable vehicle for what we needed. You definately need an enthustic team to help and support. In today’s fiscal climate it is extremely difficult to persuade anybody to give a charitable donation. Even friends so unfortunately we failed by a considerable amount also wrong time of year. Crowdfunding team and Sport England gave a lot of support which was very helpful but I had a lot of health problems and no supporting team.

Was pretty easy to set up and the fee…
Was pretty easy to set up and the fee wasn’t that big in the amount we managed to raise was no where near our target but that isn’t the fault of crowdfunder we hope to keep raising money for the charity and it’s nice that it stayed live 😁

Easy to use, glitch free platform
Very straightforward process to set up the fundraiser, so easy to use.
The only issue is the 30 day limit- most fundraisers take 6 months to gain traction.

A great way to support worthwhile causes!
A diverse range of worthwhile charities and causes. It’s nice to see the amount of causes flourishing. A really intuitive layout, easy to navigate; allowing the person donating to leave a comment after donation, boosting a causes engagement, and perhaps urging others who are a little on the fence to donate too. The Prize Draws are also such a useful tool, allowing someone to win a usually unavailable item for their donation, a great way to bring in more donations!

I asked for some help and I didn't get any help to try and raise the funds.
I got no feedback whatsoever.
And it wasn't clear that the doner would be charged a large percentage either so I'm not happy with that..

When crowdfunding, it's common for the vast majority of support to come from people you already know or their connections, such as friends, family and colleagues. I hope this doesn’t come as a surprise, but it's a frequent misunderstanding that strangers will swoop in with large pledges. In reality, the support comes from your own network unless you have a vast reach on social media, or you are able to get media coverage for your project.
We've put a number of resources together in our Knowledge Hub, which has a wealth of information and tools to help you in planning, creating, running, and delivering an effective project: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/knowledge-hub
The optional tip is used by Crowdfunder so that we can help more projects. We do not charge any platform fees for projects that are charitable causes, not for profit and personal fundraisers. We therefore rely on the generosity of those that can afford it, to tip the platform. It's through voluntary tips that we can break even and can cover our staff costs.
