Could have used a longer extension than a few weeks for my appeal, but we managed to raise a fair portion of our target.

When crowdfunding, it's common for the vast majority of support to come from people you already know or their connections, such as friends, family and colleagues. I hope this doesn’t come as a surprise, but it's a frequent misunderstanding that strangers will swoop in with large pledges. In reality, the support comes from your own network unless you have a vast reach on social media, or you are able to get media coverage for your project.

A great way to support good causes though tip ask excessive
A great way to support good causes. I resent the way the tip is handled though as for some it could seem as going to the cause. Crowdfunder charge for every transaction and a percentage of the sum raised so I find their ask excessive

The optional tip is used by Crowdfunder so that we can help more projects. We do not charge any platform fees for projects that are charitable causes, not for profit or personal fundraisers. Longer project time
It is such a great platform but our fundraiser was a longer term project and needed to be live for 6 months ideally. It is now closed as a project with funds still being accepted but it looks disjointed... Sorry to be negative!

The maximum project time is typically 12 weeks but after this you can switch the project to 'Always On' rather than it closing which means you can continue to raise funds indefinitely.

Very easy to deal with Crowdfunder…
Very easy to deal with the Crowdfunder platform. I found the process, from verification, through setting rewards to payment, very clear and easy to work with.
By comparison, another two sites I looked at were impenetrable or really unsuited to what I was hoping to achieve.
I would happily deal with Crowdfunder again.

The match funding is very hit and miss
The match funding is very hit and miss, and the automatic tip that is added of 20% we feel is a bit high. There is a small button to amend the amount, but it’s not that clear and some people just didn’t realise, but apart from these two issues it’s a good platform for raising awareness and funds for No Floor No More. Thank you.

Crowdfunder helped us massively with raising over 10k for our project.
The help service team were great and addressed all our queries and questions quickly.
The features and functionality on the site were easy to use and very intuitive and allowed us to tell our story to audiences.

Good experience with Crowdfunder
Mainly clear guidance except we were not clear on how to claim gift aid until the end. Brilliant we could partner with Aviva to match fund. fees were very reasonable. We now have more understanding of how Crowdfunder works and definitely aim to use again.
