Cox takes advantage of seniors!

Absolutely terrible customer service and disservice against seniors. I recently "cut the cord" as they say and dropped TV service due to ridiculously high prices and continued interrupted service. As soon as I did this, my internet plan with them jumped for $60/month to $105/month. I found a plan on "Cox Online" for 69.99/month for 12 months for 500gbps for 12 months. They refused to honor it.

I have been with Cox close to 26 years…

I have been with Cox close to 26 years now. Was just informed the cost has gone up once again my service has not changed. I did not add or delete anything. I simply cannot afford to pay close to $3,000 per year. I called to see about promotions and there were none. No discounts for seniors period. The service is not up to par. We continue to get messages about an app not working; the movie stations simply just rotate the same movies month after month. Another issue is the movies that were free on Prime/ Starz, HBO are now not. They have moved them over to Netflix for a price. This to me is SO UNFARE. I am not even talking about newer movies. Most are 20 years old +. This to me is unethical. Cox simply does not appreciate their clients. When there is a severe outage there are no credits given to the consumer. It is very much one-sided. I am seriously considering ending my service with cox.

This company is horrible there is no…

This company is horrible there is no empathy no understanding just money hungry greedy sorry people from top to bottom. The store in my house has some of the rudest employees I've ever seen in my life the customer service that you get on the phone or in chat our English second language in a call center in some foreign land taking calls that are too complicated at issues for their skill level in mastery of the English language. Multiple charges in one month and contribute you rock your card so that they can't make those charges they will then restrict your account so that you're forced to go in store to pay or give them all of your bank account information so that they can make ACH withdrawals whenever they like if I can't trust you with the debit card why am I going to trust you with my checking or savings account. So I guess it doesn't means nothing now I have to traipse my butt down to the store every month for

Drunk Baboon’s Doing Website Email Management

I went to pay my Cox Internet bill and it was nearly $15 more than normal. I had to call, schedule a callback, and wait 1 1/2 hours to speak to someone. They called me back, and agreed that my account should be lower, but they couldn’t figure out why. They gave me a credit to lower it to the proper amount. Then they tell me to have a “good day!”. I was a bit grumpy by then. I greatly dislike when they talk down to me. Rude. Then I pay my bill online. I immediately get more emails that I’ve changed my name to Donna T***, from March of this year. It’s October 2024. “Hi, Donna T***, did you change your email?” My name isn’t Donna T***.
Good grief! The emails immediately kept coming to Donna for a late payment credit. My $86.22 comes across as $50, in another email. But my WFB got it correctly. I call back! They again tell me thanks for calling to resolve this. Yes, wish I didn’t have to. He says “It was good on his end”, just not my experience. (Doesn’t my experience matter?) Clogging up my emails. I said the website technical support must have drunk baboons working their shift today. WATCH YOUR ONLINE PURCHASE TRANSACTIONS and your BOGUS EMAILS.

Horrible service, incompetent people

Horrible service provided by incompetent people at every level. All for the pleasure of a higher cost for less service than their competitors. Tried to get out of the contract in the first two weeks and it's a $2400 termination fee. Thanks Cox Anti-Business!

CANNOT BELIEVE THIS

Im hoping my title baits in all the angry people. I see angry reviews and was honestly surprised at the rating trust pilot has. Unfortunately, trust pilot does not have a way to filter people who have issues created by their own doing whether it be situations, locations, and/or misunderstandings of technology in general. I have used Cox for many years and it works great. Just signed up with my own account now and the setup was amazingly fast. I input my info to setup a call and they called 5 seconds later. Heavy gamer and streamer and have no issues on the 1GB deal, excited to have my own account in my new home. Their customer service was quick and helpful! I sadly forgot the reps name but she was amazing and I was setup in less than 20 minutes. Sorry to see all the bad reviews but what are you gonna do with a population of mostly spoiled, impatient, and rude people. GL out there Cox 🫡 and thanks!

NO LOYALTY!

Cox Communications is a direct portal to Hell and once they have their hooks in you…believe you cannot extricate yourself from their greedy claws. I have been a customer for decades, bundled with TV, phone & internet service spending literally thousands of dollars annually. Over these decades, every time we experienced a “problem” with their service…they send some technician over to replace cable. Look at the photos, my house has 50 miles of coaxial hanging off it…literally! The workmanship and shortcuts taken are abysmal. So last year when I was planning to replace my roof and fascia, they sent a guy out who said we could rip out all the cable hanging off the house (and inside cable too) and run a single short line into the house and run everything off WIFI…no charge. It would take an hour or two at most. However, it rained constantly that Fall season and our project had to be postponed. So I contact them today to schedule this and now they tell me the want $100.00 for the work. Now maybe I’m just in a mood or maybe Cox has become ridiculously greedy but this bovine excrement FEE just infuriated me to my core and compelled me to choose to remove Cox from my life. Their service has been problematic all along anyway, regular outages and shutting off service cuz we missed a payment date by a week. See what should be their logo in the attached pics. Cox Communications sets the Customer Care bar so low…you need a backhoe to find it. So I am now cutting the cord, ripping all their cable (that hangs like thick spaghetti) off my home and getting a competitors service and television apps (which I use more & more anyway (cuz there’s nothing good on Cox TV ever) and the savings will more than pay for the change. If you don’t have sufficient grief in your life…Cox is there to provide it. If you wish to remove grief, cut the Cox cord like me. They do not deserve any customer loyalty. They do not care about being loyal to those stupid enough to stick with them despite their miserable service, dumb policies, poor workmanship, outages and added fees. Cox sucks. If they sucked any harder, they would create a black hole and drag all of humanity into oblivion.

If I could give a zero

If I could give a zero, I sure would our service has been out for about 24 hours and no information on when it’s really going to be restored. I keep getting a text message at 9:12. It’ll be turned on last night one turn on got another one Stating that it will be on at 1:12 AM still not on. We have had frequent outages in this area since I’ve moved out here and it really sucks when you depend on it you have nothing to rely on. Unfortunately, there’s not much other options out here. This service sucks.

I have up to 16 outages a month and…

I have up to 16 outages a month and dealing with them is has been a painful experience , there tech people are polite and accommodating but they cant find the answers , so they blame the " smart" sysytem of tvs instead of cox shortage issues in 89012 if you live is this zip code find another way. the building that is going up on the mountains is our problem just like verizon use to be . now verizon built another tower in our association parking lot and has made a difference.
I have been working of late with a "Tammy " and she says at cox she is as high as goes and treats me like a liar and with no respect. Shame on you Cox

Cox is a joke!

As anyone can see by the ratings Cox is one of the worst companies to get support from, their customer service stinks! They have tried to automate phone calls and have offshored their live support, we all know how inconsistent that can be! They hire contractors as technicians which have no access to the Cox support systems so they make service calls without knowing why they are at your house, what a joke!
This company has grown due to a monopoly of service area which means they didn't have to be the best because they are your only choice is their designated areas. Well thankfully that is coming to an end, new internet provider choices are coming online and we already have new content provider choices so soon this BS can come to an end! I can't wait, after the service issue I am dealing with and the abortion of errors committed by Cox wasting, wasting hours of my time I tried to escalate to their loyalty department. There I got some arrogant jerk named Justus who basically said well sometimes these things happen and I can't do anything for you, if your service is down you have to wait. So I asked for his manager and he put me on hold and left me there more than 15min without coming back. These guys are F-ing aholes who seem to have no clue that NOBODY I tell about Cox thinks they are a great company. They also don't seem to care if we leave so I say look for other new options and leave them!

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible !!

I started a business about 5 years ago and ordered cox business. I can't seem to get out of it. I have closed the business and moved to another house. I told them the business is closed but they forced me to keep the service. I just now found out they have an auto-renew clause in their contract so now I am renewed again. I am paying over twice the amount I would be paying if I had Cox home, for a slower internet connection. Sure i should have read small print on the auto-renew but I missed it. Watch out for this company. Any place I can leave a review online of Cox, I will be doing so.

Cox is the worst

Cox is the worst! I haven't had internet in a month & calling them for a month to let them know i don't have service, they give me the run around telling me there is an outage in my area....for a whole month!? And when i ask for a credit, guess what happened....you guessed it!! They ran me around again. Why pay $85 for internet when i can go to my mobile privider & get it for half price. Bye cox!

DO NOT USE COX COMMUNICATIONS for your home TV cable service!

In my opinion their return equipment service option is not reliable and they are difficult to work with.

I moved in February and followed their lousy return process for equipment using UPS. I brought my equipment in, the counter person at UPS scanned the device, gave me a receipt and I was on my way. Then weeks later, I started receiving phone calls telling me to return the equipment or face a fee of $150. I explained over and over that I returned the device and provided the UPS tracking number showing receipt at their AZ return center that was signed for by “Aragon”. Each time they would say, ok we will notate the account as equipment received.

Despite communicating the UPS number, this continued on as I saw I had a balance due of $150 on my closed account! I called in to Cox to find out what the issue is and why they would not recognize my return. Now they say that the device number they had on file for my Contour box was not returned. A tracer was put on it and I had to wait a week to find out that they continue to say I did not return the contour box. They cannot tell me what was returned by me, based on the scan of the equipment that UPS did and that “Aragon” signed for. They just continue to repeat that I owe $150 for the box and that I am now going to collections if I don’t pay their extortion equipment fee. I have perfect credit, have no reason to keep their box, and will probably have to pay their extortion fee in order to settle this!

I was a customer for 7 years and never had a late payment. I have to guess that a mistake was made by Cox when the box was originally sent to me since the equipment serial number does not match what they have on file. I even contacted UPS and they confirmed they scan the equipment to get the number, and do not manually enter it.

Please think carefully about choosing these clowns 🤡 for your home TV Services. You use the return service they provide, then they will say it wasn’t the equipment you had, but cant tell you what you returned! Tell your friends as well. Now I am setting up service at my new home, I absolutely will not use Cox after this horrible experience where I am being held hostage regarding an equipment return I absolutely did according to their instructions.

Cox constantly offers promotions and offers.
a two-year agreement but doesn't bother honoring it.
I strongly believe Cox should be investigated by the BBB.
Customer service needs to learn about respect when it comes to customers.

These guys suck Cox

My internet is always going down. Last week I was without internet for at least three days while they were repairing the lines. Since the repairs were completed, my internet has all but stopped working. Of course to come out and fix it, I'm supposed to pay them. I'll cancel my service before I do that.

Cox lack of customer care

Today we lost our internet connection and our cable television service which led me to call Cox for help. What I got was a sales pitch to upgrade my service without any help or sign that the phone agent cared that we had no service. It was truly the worst demonstration of customer care I have ever seen.

Legalize fraud

So I signed up for cox business had hispeed commercial phone and Internet and was told as part of the package there is a $500 rebate in the form of a MasterCard that I never received you call them it's always a generic answer no one ever gets theses cards so I will be cutting them off because Iam tired of having my ass spread
