Great experience working with the guys from Cheshire Stove Shop, from first phone call through to installation.

What can I say, from the service to the fire itself i couldn’t be happier. The quality of work is second to none. The care taken when carrying out what really is a messy job the house was left perfect. We were talked through every step and felt confident we knew exactly what we were getting and the time taken afterwards to demonstrate the fire and explain how to light correctly was just a lovely little extra. I really couldn’t have asked for a better company to use. Would recommend highly !! Amazing how it can transform a room !!

Not only were the fitters professional and courteous, the after sales support was superb.

Very professional service from the first minute

We've had work done by The Cheshire Stove shop over the past 10 years or so ... installing a new wood burner, replacing a hearth, installing a chimney liner, and also one of their lovely Reis gas stoves. Great guys to work with, good aftercare, can't fault them and would recommend to anyone. Thanks Martin and team.

I asked Cheshire Stove Shop for advice about cleaning hearths. I was recommended a product that was pasted on then pulled off when dry. I agreed to this as well as chimney sweep. The customer service to arrange this was excellent and the engineer was very friendly and knowledgeable. However, when he came back to remove the product it hadn’t been very effective which was apparent to both of us. The guys worked hard to rectify the issue and cleaned the hearth using my sandpaper and a razor blade. The product was very expensive so I contacted the shop to give feedback. I was disappointed that I had paid highly for a specialist product when the solution was the work the guys put in. I would not be writing this review if the owner had not been instantly defensive and rude. This also seems to be a common theme in other reviews. The team are great, the owner seems to be a liability to his own business. Word spreads mate! Good luck.

This has been a nightmare from start to finish. I instructed this company to remove an old fireplace and expose the brick around my existing fireplace, reinstalling and servicing my existing wood-burner. The job went wrong after two days when I raised what I regarded as minor concerns with the work carried out. I thought this would be resolved easily but I was met with aggression and the blame was put squarely back on myself. Poor workmanship led to the permanent marking of the underlying brickwork of my fireplace. In addition the people carrying out the work covered my house in soot, each day I returned to a home where all surfaces were covered in a black layer. Again i was met with hostility when I raised this, the company suggesting I was making this up. Finally they admitted that they had dragged the old flue out through my living room rather than out of the top of the chimney which caused the mess. There then proceeded several weeks of inaction, leaving me with a half finished fireplace and a room covered in soot unable to be used. Only with the intervention of a third party did they agree to finish the job which was finally completed a month later than planned. Rather than arrange a cleaner and decorator they simply offered me £500 off the bill and asked me to sort it out myself. The problems continue and even through payment has now been made more than a month ago, they never acknowledged payment and I have still not received any certificate of compliance from HETAS. The stress of battling this company from start to finish has been ridiculous.

The Cheshire Stove Shop have been very impressive throughout the process of researching, purchasing and installing my stove. I have been enjoying my Rais Viva L 100 wood burning stove for over two months now and it is wonderful.
My wife and I visited the showroom in Macclesfield several times whilst researching which stove would be best for us and Martyn and Nick were professional and helpful, without being pushy, every time.
The stove is fitted in a new extension to my home, which was partly constructed during Martyn's survey. I told Martyn the intended location for the stove and, after some thought, he actually suggested a better location for the stove which saved money due to the shorter flue required.
Alf and Jed installed the stove and flue back in February and were polite, informative and respectful to my house throughout, as well as doing a first class job.
I would recommend visiting The Cheshire Stove Shop to anyone considering a stove or related products in the future and I thank them for the great service I have received.

Our new inset log burner looks fantastic; we received good advice in the showroom on the various products available and their benefits. The installation was efficient with minimum disruption, the team were very courteous and provided useful advice on future usage.

Installation team was fantastic, constant updates as work progressed. Went out of their way to make install as neat as possible, as issues arrived. Would highly recommend. Excellent price A+++++
