Terrible customer service - still waiting for a refund
Terrible customer service. Ordered the item online after finding it via google only for the Item to be delivered damaged. I answered the various “bot” questions on their site to request an exchange but heard nothing. £300 for a damaged item is not acceptable. Two phone calls of being on hold for half hour and even two tweets to their Twitter account and still nothing. I no longer want an exchange but a refund, avoid if buying online!
Would have liked to score zero
Customer service is nil. Had cause to complain re the watering can cafe, have written approx 7 emails, still waiting for the manager to respond. Will not be going again and certainly not recommend. What a shame this could be a little gem.
Five stars to Cherry Lane Peterborough
Went to Cherry Lane Peterborough and the staff particularly on the check outs were absolutely fantastic. So helpful and courteous that our faith is restored after the miserable past two years and it’s effect on the demeaning responses regarding the scams and cheating of so many companies and the general rudeness of staff who’s attitude needs serious attention. Well done Cherry Lane Peterborough and thank you for your kind help regarding our HTA vouchers, please educate HTA how to respond to any public enquiries too . Read HTA rotten reviews to understand that comment.
The plants and produce are excellent , the store and car park was packed with customers which is indicative of the service that is given therein and the satisfaction of those visiting this store .
AVOID THIS COMPANY
In all the years I have dealt with online shopping, this company has to be the worst when it comes to customer services.
I was delivered an extra item by mistake which the company wasn’t even aware of yet it took me countless emails and really long phone calls to get through to someone to arrange some sort of resolution for item to be picked up.
I wasn’t even getting replies to my emails and then started getting random people replying to the same thread each with their own bit of advice.
The company should have been grateful that I saved them money by reporting this as according to their own staff, they weren’t even aware an item was missing.
I don’t know how the garden centers themselves are but if anyone is actually reading this email PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE EPLAGUE!! If anything were to go wrong with your order then you’re stuffed with the lack of customer services manners and skills and lack of interest towards the consumer from this company.
Really wish minus stars was an option as one star make this company still a lot more attractive then it actually is!!!

*UPDATE*
A few days after my review i was contacted by customer services. And i have to say they handled everything very quickly and efficiently. I was asked to return the furniture which was collected at no cost and new replacement furniture was dispatched immediately and arrived before i had returned the broken ones. If I had recieved this service within a couple of days i wouldn't have reviewed as below. So if customer service was a bit quicker maybe the reviews would improve. Thank you Cherry Lane for recifying the situation.

My big regret not reading the reviews...Recieved a tv unit and coffee table on the 6th April paid £70 fof a 3-5 day delivery as i needed it ASAP. The coffee table arrived in a terrible state. Pieces broke off. Cracks, chips and dowels and nails stuck out. The tv unit also on closer inspection was damaged. I immediately contacted them via chat with photos and was told the info would be submitted. I recieved an email stating they were busy but would get back to me.. 2 more emails sent, 4 days later, unable to find a phone number and no reply. I was going to ask for a refund but how can i with no contact! I wont pay money to return items delivered in this state. My husband has now had to buy clamps and fixing materials to try and make them useable for now until i can find something else and pay out again. I am very disappointed as i would expect a company to want to rectify this immediately and keep their customers happy! Avoid at all costs.
Rubbish customer service
I recently ordered garden dining set online. They confirmed my order and accepted my payment. I paid just under £60 for a 3 to 5 day pallet delivery.
After 5 working days I emailed customer services and explained that I had not received any information about delivery since placing the order. They emailed back confirming receipt of my complaint and stated that customer services would respond as soon as possible.
Two days later, having not received any response, I emailed them again requesting some information about delivery of my purchase. I have waited all day and heard nothing from them.
I would recommend that anyone buying from this outfit do not do so online, buy direct from one of their garden centres.
As for their customer service - there isn't any.

Rubbish 😡😡I’ve tried to cancel an item I ordered…. I was told it was to late , so to refuse delivery, which seemed madness, but that is what I’ve done.
You can’t get through to customer service on the phone, on hold for over an hour!!
Let’s see how much of a fight I have to get my money back .. oh surprise they took that quick enough!!

I bought a garden set last year…
I bought a garden set last year practically 8 months ago, I waited months for this set.
We have had hail today and the tables smashed. They didn't have nothing to say basically it was my fault my table was in my garden. The set was 320 pound I've not even had it a year.
Not smelling the roses
My husband and I visited today for lunch, there was no problem with the food or service. That said, where we sat (table 6) had a nasty smell, which after smelling for a while we put down to a dead mouse. On mentioning this to a waitress she informed us that you already knew of the problem but where unable to get to it.!!!! we did notice a couple of air fresheners close to where we were sat. Please sort this out a.s.a.p
I initially loved the garden centre and…
I initially loved the garden centre and the staff were so friendly, however customer service is appalling. I purchased a duvet set that when washed fell to bits. I emailed customer services three times, I called customer service twice. Eventually after three months I received a reply to my email saying that it was too late to refund due to out of time scales. Sadly I wouldn’t buy anything again from here
No idea why this company is in business
We waited 3 weeks for some rails to arrive. On asking why we had not received we were asked to contact their supplier as the goods were shipping direct from them. Apathy on their part being the word I would use. We declined chase their supplier and left it in their hands. Did not come back to us and ordered is now cancelled. Remains to be seen if we actually get our money back.
Awful experience...
We were fighting hard not to blast this out on Gill's instagram can we say. Then realised we were not alone in the complaints department! The staff up to our most recent visit today have in main been friendly but we have not been to our local centre for several months. Please be warned if you have any disability or a young person who needs a break mid shop, DO NOT visit this centre without a car, so sorry anyone who is trying to do the climate change any good by travelling on the bus or had to give up car for medical reasons!
Yes they supply a café, staff who today were not at their customer facing best or the training is abysmal? You are not allowed to have the choice to leave your shopping outside or inside the café, we were told, it WILL be moved, at this point we felt like criminals! We could read the sign thank you! God help anyone who struggles to! So, if anyone travelling alone uses the toilets which are in same location as café, they are supposed to finish all shopping first and then go to loo,( as you cannot leave shopping outside on that wall remember?) We tried to explain that we did not have a car whereby we could go pay for the items in the basket and go put into the boot then continue to shop, but was unable to get our message across to the staff who did not seem to understand the concept not surprisingly or just did not want to know, and gave standard excuse which I am normally understanding of,' just doing my job, yes but quite badly'. When I asked if the centre ran the café, the member of staff just said yes, but no other enquiry, like basics, is there an issue? We have spent all we will here and will never recommend them again. AWFUL..it is not about just us, it is anyone who has someone they may need to take out for a break, a carer having a well earned break, how uncaring one company can be in such a community with limited access. Clearly no one is bothered for their jobs...let alone local folk. I had to ring and get owners name and address as no indication online I wonder why? P.S. Just have a set of shelves on wall to sit baskets on like lots of other professionally run garden centres do. That is IF you have customers when everywhere else is opened up.

Shocking quality of a new TV unit
Received a supposedly new TV unit which had been delivered via Parcel Force. Firstly, the box came damaged and secondly when opening the box to check the item all I can say is this was a disgrace and unacceptable from chips to cracks on the wood as well as a missing screw from the hinges. Black hand marks and a red stain on the side of the unit, clearly no quality checks from the store when sending and poor quality. I have emailed customer care with photos of the damages, but had no response and would like a full refund or I’ll be escalating this through PayPal.

We took our Grandchildren to see Santa…
We took our Grandchildren to see Santa (which we have done for the several years) he wasn’t very friendly, asked personal questions to myself and wife which had nothing to do with Christmas. He was judgmental with his comments and made the children very uncomfortable and comments that he could not adhere to.
Tried to contact customer services by email but there is no complaints contact unless it’s by phone. will definitely not be going there again.

Don't order from here
Don't order from here, got sent totally wrong order. Rang to complain told I would get email within hour to confirm what was going to happen, no email called another two times to be told the same thing, a week later they send an email saying they will send the correct item if they still have one. This was supposed to be a Xmas present, replied and told them not to bother and would never use again. Customer service is absolutely discussting. DO NOT USE.

Horrendous customer service
Horrendous customer service - have no care for the customer at all. Ordered a log store - 4 weeks delivery time - no communication when then changed to 16 weeks - so I will be able to store logs in the summer - thats great - NOT. Still trying to get a refund and help - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I wouldn’t reccomend purchasing anything which might result in a return/refund because customer service team is practically non existent- several emails sent yet none have been replied to regarding a refund , will be writing to trading standards, ombudsman and the directors listed on companies house- I believe a lady called Laura works with customer service/head office - I think the team require retraining. I would recommend shopping and booking events elsewhere such as Webb’s who has amazing customer service

Cherry Lane Towcester Father Christmas . What a brilliant experience went there today with my grand daughters Annaleigh and Harriett the best father Christmas ever he took his time with the girls we all sang a song and he got the elve Molly to read the children a Christmas story he chatted to them about Christmas day he talked about the reindeers he took time to allow us to take pictures and then he gave the girls a gift. Then he chatted some more ! A very kind and thoughtful father Christmas . Highly reccomend .

Our first visit to Pendock Lane Garden centre was a total disaster. My wife and I were met at the tills by a real life Cruella De Vil , who verbally abused me in front of all others over a very trivial matter. We departed before matters escalated. Back to Moors Garden Center for us.
