Good efficient job

Paul telephoned me to say he was on his way. Although our drain was running clear again at the time of his call, he plunged it anyway to ensure there were no further blockages within our property. He explained that the blockage may lie in the Southern Water drains and the CET report confirmed this.

Kept up to date with time of arrival…

Kept up to date with time of arrival etc and although the engineer didn’t have the parts required. He got them the following day and sorted asap.

Horrible company

Horrible company
2 contractors didn't turn up.
I lodged a complaint about the poor service.
CET upheld my complaint and agreed to compensate me with £175.
However, despite chasing this up on several occasions, the compensation hasn't been paid and my emails are now being ignored
Stay well clear of this company.

Cowboys

This company demands 100% payment before starting the work. My 88 year old mum paid in good faith to have work carried out on her sewer, they came completed the work with half a hour and left. She paid over £1000 and Still having the same issue that should have repaired?? Laine group came round for a second opinion and that could not believe that anybody in that trade would do what was done, in fact they filmed it and put in on Facebook as the most shocking repair they have ever seen! I have tried calling, emailing this company to get them out to correct the terrible work completed but they are denying any responsibility and refuse to do anything about it. Terrible company to deal with I would advise to avoid at all cost, unless you want to pay twice for the same job.

Worst company by a decade.

Terrible company. Been ringing for 5 days for an update to fix my boiler under churchill insurance. Keep getting fobbed off stating we are still awaiting authorisation. No hot water and heating for 5 days now in this horrible weather with not a single update given. I have 3 young children at home under 8 years old and seems like they just care. Avoid any insurance companies using CET for their home emergency cover. The worst company to deal with. I would be giving minus stars if i could.

Home Emergency Service

Really poor home service; waited all night for an emergency call out, finally someone came after 15 hours. They have left the property unsafe, really poor customer service, takes hours to get through and staff are really incompetent and are not interested in helping people in their time of need. Had to call multiple times to get some help, worst home service ever.

Horrendous service - avoid!

I have never dealt with a company so inept at delivering the service they are paid to deliver and shocking in customer service provided. I have also never felt so badly about a company's service to write such a review for other people to 1) take heed or 2) me to take it further to financial ombudsman. You have to hold for at least 45mins every call to get through to someone to try and sort anything out. One day it took over 2 hours to speak to customer service twice in a day, still with out resolution. I am 3 days on from logging a home emergency of no hot water, despite having children in the property and going through chemotherapy myself, with no resolution at all. I logged a complaint and the agent was incredibly unsympathetic, lacked understanding and rude and they had clearly not even done the due diligence of reviewing all the evidence and are not up holding the complaint, despite their engineers and customer service agents not contacting me when they should have done or scheduling in a visit when they said they would. There was zero attempt to help deliver me the service I am paying for. I am honestly shocked and appalled by this company. I am reviewing with the Insurance company who employ them as ready to cancel my policy based on this sub contractor company's awful management as I never want to deal with them ever again.

Plumber attended, but no repair

Water flooding from upstairs bath through kitchen ceiling directly below on Saturday 3rd, paid £165 for CET to send a plumber on Monday 5th. Plumber attended, said they couldn't remove the side panel, and left doing no work. 2 adults and 3 children left with no bathing facilities. CET have been nearly impossible to contact, have given no updates, and haven't sent anyone to repair bath.

Have been told they won't issue a refund due to an engineer attending, despite doing no work, or working to resolve the issue, awful customer service, with little to no communication. Refund won't be issued as they said I agreed to their terms, however order was placed verbally, and at no point received any terms verbally or via e-mail, only a receipt with the cost.

Update: Have been issued a refund.

Boiler went on Christmas eve

Boiler went on Christmas eve, they gave up on organising a emergency repair man.

Not 365 24/7 cover.

Asked to put in a complaint, the phone handler faked the procedure and hung-up.

Taken my money for 4 years, terrible service once I entered the claim process. Will be looking else where.

Had not addressed the door’ lock

CET had not addressed the door’ lock and alignment and engineer did a terrible job and left the door insecure by removing all the door’ s lock mechanism advising that this will be addressed by main NatWest insurer. Raised complaint with CET. A lady from CET named Kayleigh Brown called and advised over the phone that she is unable to locate my details and home emergency cover on their system and hence she will not withhold the complaint and is going to close the matter. I then contacted with the main insurer NatWest Insurance, who advised that they should have addressed the doors lock to do a proper and a secure job. I had reported claim via our insurers NatWest Insurance Limited around 10am on 5th January. CET obviously did not consider this an emergency as they messaged to say they would arrive on 5th January at 15:15 but arrived late evening without giving any update for delays. We called to see if someone could give an update for delays but no response received to our phone call and text message to the engineer. We were stuck at home all day as we were unable to lock our door. They said they would look into this and address the issue. Engineer arrived late with no apology for the delays. They did not address the main issue of rectifying the lock and instead removed all the parts of the locking mechanism which resulted door not properly secured and cold draft kept coming in the house in the freezing weather. Next day when I contacted with CET, they advised that they have done their job with a temporary fix and that I need to register a new claim for a permanent fix for the door alignment. I said that why engineer removed all the door locks mechanism and left the door insecure and loose. CET advised that there is nothing more they can do and that I need to contact with the main insurer. The lady from CET named Kayleigh Brown was very rude on the phone and was not listening to me and instead kept saying that she would close the complaint with no further action as they don’t have our details on their system. However, after the call she sent a letter by email to state that complaint has been resolved satisfactorily despite the fact that she repeatedly said she cannot find our details and home emergency cover on their system during the call.I have taken 2 days off from work as I was unable to leave our home due to insecure loose door as CET engineer had removed all the locks mechanism system and had left without addressing the route cause of faulty locks. It’s already more than 40 hours this issue has been left unresolved with no consideration given for the security of our house and as a result of a cowboy job done by CET engineer cold draft is coming through the loose door into our living room. Called CET few times and been on hold for over 30 mins with no answer during each call. Absolute waste of time. Will be raising a formal complaint and if not satisfied will report to Insurance Ombudsman. Have been with NatWest Insurance Ltd for over 3 years for home insurance. Will go elsewhere on renewal next month and will only go with company that does not use CET. CET’s customer Relations Manager needs to listen to the call made by their staff member named Kayleigh Brown who advised over the phone that she was unable to find our details and home emergency cover although they sent their engineer to my property on 5 January who did a terrible job.

A great experience at a busy time of the year during a cold spell. We had a leaking pipe under the kitchen sink. The plumber was excellent causing minimal disruption and advice on next steps to avoid future issues.
