Location. Park your vehicle and walk to Cemetary Hill on one side and minutes to Lincoln Square in the opposite direction.
Many choices of dining in the immediate area.
Great appointed room. We stayed in the Kentucky Suite. Awesome! Sit on the porch in the evening, in front of battle damaged brick wall, and imagine how it was in July 1863.
We will be back early fall of '24!!

My husband and I enjoyed our brief stay here as part of a weekend getaway to Gettysburg. The house and rooms are very clean and comfortable, though my only recommendation is to take a note of the bed size- we didn't realize we were booking a room with a full bed, which was totally honest and wasn't necessarily that uncomfortable, just not what we were expecting. The building can be accessed by a code and while there is no 24/7 staff on hand, someone is always accessible by phone and there during business hours. They have all the amenities you could ask for and you absolutely cannot beat the location for accessing the various charms of both historic and modern Gettysburg. I recommend taking the breakfast option as it was a really hearty meal and perfect for us before we set out on a long hike.

We had a wonderful time, we staying in the upstairs room that has the bay window. The sharp shooters used it during the war. We did the ghost tour which was super fun and left right from the front yard. We also had the wonderful breakfast one morning. All in all we would highly recommend and stay there again when we visit again.

The hot tub out back was so relaxing. The location was great too. Very walkable. The staffers were very nice, helpful, & accommodating.

Location is a key. They are right in town with walking distance to everything. Great historic buildings.

Lovely Inn right in the heart of Gettysburg. Gracious hosts, delicious breakfasts and access to amazing tours. (Battlefield and Ghost).

Great location close to all the action of Gettysburg. We had a great girls weekend getaway. Everyone was friendly, place was clean and quiet.

Conversations with the inn personnel and other guests were very informative about Gettysburg. We learned more about the history of the battle as it flowed through the town and how that impacted the Welty House.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Brickhouse Inn for our 5 year anniversary. We stayed in the New York room. Unintentionally booked during biker week so that was a nice surprise. But the room, the staff, and the food were great. Never had shoofly pie before but theirs got us hooked. Went on a couple Ghost tours and the guides were fanominal. We had a nice time overall, great experience.

In our opinion since the new ownership, there has been a noticeable decline in the unique charm that attracted us to the Brickhouse to begin with. Though the people are still fantastic that work there it is much more commercialized which we can get anywhere. Couple that with the substantial increase in price and reduction in services provided (breakfast) its a no-brainer to look elsewhere.

We stayed two nights at the Brickhouse Inn. We had the Georgia room in the Welty house, and it was GORGEOUS. We rolled in just before 6 pm after a very long day of traffic jams, and we were greeted immediately by Sam, one of the innkeepers, who showed us to our room and showed us all the ins and outs. We unfortunately were far too tired and hot to make the 6 pm champagne toast with the staff and other guests, but the offer was made right away! The room we had was beautifully updated while maintaining the charm of the original building. The balcony off the back was WONDERFUL for morning coffee and an evening glass of wine. The rocking chairs were comfy and the backyard is a lovely view. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. The location is PERFECT. It was only a couple of blocks up from Cemetery Ridge and the Jennie Wade House. Lots of options for eating in the close area, and only maybe a 1/2 mile from what I assume is the center of town. We highly recommend a stay here!

Beautiful venue with history, right in the middle of Gettysburg. Clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Good food. Great cozy atmosphere. Very good service. Friendly people.

Loved the quaint old house/hotel! Staff was incredibly friendly too! The small evening get-togethers and breakfasts were just right as well. Quiet time sitting on the front porch walking the passers-by was cool too. Add to all that the Brickhouse location in walking distance to everything, this is just a great place to stay!
