The battery was dead and wouldn't charge .A real hassle trying to get through to customer service , I eventually gave up . I'll put this down to experience and write off the 30 quid . The battery is now down the recycling tip , where it probably came from in the first place .

Laptop Battery Change
Prompt delivery, well packaged laptop battery. Relatively easy to fit with two minor issues: Acer battery screws were T6 so included T5 driver dud not help and battery leads were several mm longer than those in the same removed battery. The latter made it a very tight squeeze. But currently all working well and pleased with the result to date - just waiting for effective calibration.

I’ve been using Aolstecell for many years.
I’ve been using Aolstecell replacement laptop batteries for a number of years in a professional repair context, and overall I’ve found them reliable and well-managed compared with much of the aftermarket battery market.
What stands out is consistency. Popular models are clearly supplied from local UK stock (Enderby), while less common models are transparently marked as shipping from Hong Kong. That honesty alone puts them ahead of many suppliers who blur stock origin.
Even slow-moving or older-stock batteries typically arrive at around 50–60% charge, which strongly suggests correct lithium-ion storage practices rather than packs sitting fully charged on a shelf for years. In my experience this is unusual in a good way.
Failure rate has been low; I’ve had one bad unit over many orders, which is not unreasonable for non-OEM batteries. Fit, voltage and identification markings have generally been accurate, and popular SKUs are consistently available.
They are not perfect, and this is still an unregulated aftermarket, but based on real-world use rather than one-off purchases, I’m comfortable recommending them as a competent mid-tier supplier, particularly if you understand you’re buying third-party batteries and manage expectations accordingly.
