This company is useless. Practitioner do not join a scheduled call, cancelled it 5 minutes after it was scheduled to end, and they billed me anyway. There is no customer support except a phone number.... Mehr ansehen

Their website says they treat UTIs via Telehealth, when seen by the Dr, for all of 5 minutes, the Doctor said she couldn't treat UTIs over Telehealth, after they charged us for the visit. They won't... Mehr ansehen

So far not so good

So far not so good. My insurance agent made a three way call to set up the first appointment after downloading the app signing up filling out forms I was set up and in the virtual waiting room. A half hour later a message appeared stated provider cancelled the appointment because I had not provided an emergency# . Again my insurance agent set up another appointment this time carefully filling out there pre visit form that did not ask for emergency # I but I squeezed it in. I waited and again. 15 minutes after the appointment was to start it was cancelled by the doctor without reason. Amwell doesn't have record of my appointment they set up and I received the link? Trying one more time. Finally got a doctor he was great.

Not the best option.

The doctor was great, after waiting 1.5 hours and getting switched providers after seeing “You’re next in line, the provider will be with you shortly” for an hour and a half it was pretty frustrating. I then utilized this service a few weeks later for another doctor visit which they cancelled on my the day of. Too many other telehealth providers to wait for Amwell.

I was new to the program through my insurance company. I called to verify that I was covered and was told I was. When I went to do the visit, it was asking for $79.00. I backed out and was charged $20.00 for canceling. I canceled because I was told I was covered.

Excellent all around experience!

This is the second time my family has used Amwell. The first time was a couple years ago when my husband had a severe ear infection that he got while we were in Mexico and most recently for my 16 y.o. son for ongoing neck pain. Dr. McGarry, Pediatrician was absolutely amazing. He was thorough, patient, and explained everything to my son. Amwell is a great option and takes the worry out of cost and trying to make an appointment to get in to see a provider. I promote Amwell with fellow employees whenever I can. I highly recommend this service. Convenient, customer focused, and cost effective.

Tonight I also had to have my password reset. Called customer service, phone was answered by a live person immediately, and the service rep I was transferred to was extremely pleasant and helpful. Thank you Amwell!!

When I used Amwell The first doctor to see me I couldn't understand a word she was saying she saw me for 3 minutes exactly so when I scheduled an appointment with another doctor she basically yelled at me and said "didn't you just see my colleague? I'm looking at the notes right now" This was my first and last time using Amwell

I have just lost 2 hours of my life and…

I have just lost 2 hours of my life and my $49.00 which I want refunded!

First, I had wrongly signed in under my husbands account. NO WHERE on the app will it tell give you that information! It does provide a selection for wife, which I chose. In the Doctor waiting room NO ONE asked me WHO was wanting a Dr. visit. I waited 1 hour to speak to a Doctor (Menon) She comes on and says is this Steven? I said no this is his wife...She said, she could not help me. I asked for the customer service number to get some help and she gave me INCORECT INFORMATION! I called the customer service department an Juan gave me incorrect information, he connected me to the NOW Clinic and then Kevin the customer service agent was RUDE! Come to find out NOW is not one of our providers???

After trying to get help from 2 wrong numbers ...I made my own account on AMWELL.
I got a Dr right away. I have a sinus infection, I am 60 years old I KNOW when I have a sinus infection! The Doctor asked me my symptoms. He said, something about CDC guidelines. I explained, I had a covid test a week ago and I do NOT have Covid!
Then he told me I do not have a sinus infection and he would not give me an anti-biotic and when I tried to talk to him about again about my symptoms he told me he was not going to help me and hung up!

I have NEVER been so humiliated in my life!

I am going to complain to United Health Care and my husbands employer! I am going to tell anyone who will listen to me.

This experience was HIGHLY disappointing!

I still have my sinus infection!

Card charged full amount even though insurance covers

I am a state employee and my job had a whole seminar about Amwell. $10 co-pay for us. I used the app for the first time on 1/8/2021. The doctor was nice, except I never got my sick slip he said he would send for missing work that day and my credit card was charged the full amount $79. I have called Amwell several times and my insurance. My insurance confirmed yes I only pay $10. Amwell says well it looks like you don't have insurance. I had to enter the insurance info in before the visit and even gave it again when I called. It even shows on my claim they sent me. I got transferred around and someone said well i'll just open up a ticket for you. My insurance called them to see what was going on and they told my insurance company to tell me to email them which I did. They won't submit the claim for reimbursement. This was supposed to be easy and stress free. All Amwell has done is charged my card for a service I should be paying $10 for and won't billed to my insurance and can't answer my questions. I can't get any answers and this whole experience has frustrated me. I want to know why Amwell is not accepting my insurance and won't bill my claim. I would like a refund of $69 and my claim billed to my insurance.

Rude doctor who laughed at me

I met with Dr. Fawn Langerman for an acne outbreak. The hard acne forming under my skin and my face burning, signaled time for another level of treatment. I’ve been dealing with acne since my teens. The current treatment medicine I use IS LISTED on my profile with Amwell already. When I told Dr. Langerman about this medicine, she rudely looked at me, laughed, and said “I dont know what that is, and can you spell it? Ive been doing this for 32 years.” I spelled it for her, and after looking it up in my profile, she snidely said, I havent heard of that medicine, and that’s not FDA approved”. I told her that Ive been taking this medicine for this condition for YEARs, and that it is FDA approved for acne. She responded with “Im not writing the script for 30 days I will write the script for 7 days.” Very nasty, but for peace’s sake, I maintained my cool and took the 7 day plan which I’ve NEVER had before. Soon after, my local pharmacist called and said THE SCRIPT CAN NOT BE FILLED FOR 7 PILLS and IS NEVER written for amounts less than 30!! Dr. Langerman refused to resubmit the script. How rude. I left the video visit humiliated, emotional, and with the same acne pain I started with. To make matters worse, my insurance was billed, and I payed a copay to get laughed at by a rude doctor who was not even knowledgable of a common treatment plan ALREADY LISTED in my patient history/profile. WOW!! I will not use Amwell again. She was very rude! I want a refund!!

Very dissatisfied

Very dissatisfied! Doctor told me to go to my local urgent care and there was nothing he could do for me! The local urgent care is going to do the same thing he did and just ask questions then prescribe meds. What a ripoff! Was very excited to try this service. What a disappointment it was....Would gratefully appreciate a refund....merry Christmas.

Very thankful for this service

Very thankful for this service, particularly during the pandemic. Having to option to have a telehealth visit has helped keep my family safe and healthy.

Great Service

1st time using a tele doc and it went well. Got the Rx I needed & was conveniently able to start meds over the weekend.
