To be honest wouldn’t give them 1 star worst company ever very rude telephone staff speek like your something they stepped in . Got a call this morning to say someone was on his way then I open my gates he drives then drives out when I call they tell he had to rush back to another job but did not say anything to me took me ages to get through when I did the staff were insulting and rude cowboy company steer well clear of them

Misleading advertisment for a 'local' firm. This is a franchise with Woodhus Ltd. They replaced an amp and power supply for my 83 year old father. Work took less than half an hour - £286. Total rip off. Took advantage of a vulnerable man who just lost his wife and couldn't bear the silence in the house so didn;t challenge the cost. When I requested a breakdown of the work, a man called Phillip who was rude and abrupt told me, I couldn't have one, it's a set price. Said his manager 'John' would call me to discuss, he hasn't. Reported to Trading Standards - rogue trader. AVOID!

Rang what was misleadingly advertised as a local company (a Leeds number advertising that they cover areas local to myself in Leeds). This turned out to be a nationwide company that then sub-contracts the work out. I booked a next day visit to remove my TV aerial which was banging & clattering in the wind. I received a courtesy call and confirmation text that night and lovely guy called Steve from a company named Wudhus arrived at 8.30am the following day. Although they are not a local company (he had driven from Burnley) and they didn't know what price i had been quoted they still did exactly what was asked! They turned up on time, did a good job and the price was fair.

Following the recent bad weather, my satellite dish stopped working and I could see that the LNB was damaged.
A quick google found Aerialcare, which appears to be a national setup, but had a local telephone number (I suspect more of a technical 'cheat' than an actual local office) so I rang and the professional-sounding receptionist told me that an engineer would be with me the same day, but would ring an hour before arriving.
By the end of the day, I received an automated call (a 0330 number) stating that the engineer couldn't make it but would be with me the next working day. To cut the story short this pattern repeated itself over 3 days and the worst part was when I called the local number back repeatedly there was no sense of urgency or apology, just an assurance that the engineer would arrive within a few hours.
After 3 days of this, I called another company and the job was done within 2 hours.
Quite simply, if this is their normal level of service, (and reading other reviews, my experience was not unique), then companies like this one do not deserve to survive.
I have worked in sales for many years, and the number one rule is never lie to your customer and always keep them informed of any problems, - this business needs to learn that, - it's not difficult.

Scam. Put a bit of tape over a cut wire, lasted a few days. Complained via email & phone. They don't want to know, kept my money and told me to jog on.

Jamie was a lovely guy, really knowledgeable, very polite and professional. A credit to his company. As soon as he put his meter on the aeriel socket and said no signal I remembered the stupid aeriel signal box / splitter in the attic. It had tripped so I turned it back on and when I retuned my new TV, hey presto it worked. Less than 10 minutes in total. He sat in his van for over 45 mins phoning the office and drinking a coffee and the the company charged me £50 for 'diagnostics', plugging in a signal tester. I would have expected perhaps a min charge of 1hr labour for the 5 mins actual work or a token half hour charge considering nothing was really done but not to pay that much for me to point it out and switch it back on. Disappointed, although Jamie was lovely and the charges are nothing to do with him his company take advantage.I won't use this company again I don't feel the charge was fair.

I had so many aerial fitters let me down that I booked online with Aerial Care & hoped for the best. I had not read any revues beforehand.
They sent me someone from Wudhus who arrived on time. He was polite and knowledgeable and repaired my satellite dish when he could have said I needed a new one. He also set up a new Sky box for me.
I have no complaints about the service or price and would contact them again if I need more work doing. Thank you Carl.

Terrible, didn’t come when they said, after calling 20 minutes before to confirm.
Woman in the office then called me in a rage as her engineer couldn’t find the house. Literally blown away by her rudeness. No way I would ever use them. If they find us they will be turned away.

Sent someone out to provide a quote, stating they would check the signal direction and strength. Guy just counted the number of aerial sockets, didn’t even check inside the loft. Office then calls quoting between £585 and £777 for a loft aerial. I decline then the manager (with 35 years experience!) calls to offer it for £300 incl VAT. Absolute rip off merchants.

This company aims to exploit people's ignorance.

I booked them in to help my parents. They tried to charge them £500 for an aerial replacement. Fortunately they knew better and told them to leave instantly.

Have since had the aerial replaced for £120.

No quality of service could justify paying 4 times the amount.

Avoid. Promised to come every day and then called on the day to say unfortunately they can't come, are you available tomorrow. Happened 4 days on the trot. Going local instead ..

First thing to know is although they have a St Albans tel number
They are not based anywhere near St Albans very misleading they are a company up north

i had a good experience and was given what i think was a good deal and that was all thanks to the engineer named Andrew (sadly no surname), best of luck to him and his partner in Germany

Spoke to a guy in the office who wouldn’t stop calling me mate and bud in every sentence (real professional). Anyway, booked in an engineer who called me and said he couldn’t come and I would have to find someone else. This company has multiple sister companies with different names but all the same sub contractor engineers on their system. Creating a monopoly. Due to their professionalism, I would hiiiighly AVOID.

They are not locally based, however there contact numbers and website lead customers thinking they are .. totally misleading! .The prices are totally ridiculous and they are only looking to rip off vulnerable people , as you are false to pay all out fee, even though they know you will not pay quote price . The job needed two people and only had one person, so wanted me to help with job ! Then I got quote which was then over £340 to put up TV ! Obviously I declined job, but had to pay call out and was left with broken brackets , as contractors pulled cord too hard and snapped it ! I am frustrated that I fell prey to this company ! I am

Crikey, these guys might be good with aerials (I wouldn't know) but the way they do business is ridiculous... they don't issue standard costs for anything, but insist on someone coming over to quote you, and there's a reason they do this: The quote is free IF you then hire them to do the work. If you don't hire them, they charge for the quote. They tell you that "every like business will operate this way", which is nonsense.

Add to that the unprofessional chap who answered the phone, and the fact that the company operates under a couple of different names (which I presume is why they don't answer the phone by telling you who you've reached), and you've got yourself a company that is going to annoy you before the job even gets booked.

Agreed to come out and quote for potential aerial replacement, quoted £398 to do the works and if didn’t accept they wanted a £120 callout charge despite only being there to quote and no authorisation being given. Would recommend anyone to source a local company instead as this is a national company that source local contractors and charge rip off prices giving a small amount to the contractor.

Rip off merchants. £510 for an aerial. You think you are calling a local firm but it's just sub contracted out. Fitter was nice enough, but he did not handle the moneyside. He was here an hour and a half and all internal work was already done by the builder.

My brother had his fitted for £160 by a local company. I only found out after paying.

Would not recommend. Go local. Do your research.
