A clunky experience as the process was…
A clunky experience as the process was very slow. Having said that it all came together in the end so was worth it for a competitve one year fixed rate investment. Definately feel the process could be improved and made more efficient for both the bank and the customer. Should the process become more effecient as well as being on line I would anticipate giving Conister Bank a 5 star rating.

Easy to order and pay online
Easy to order and pay online. Would have been a 5 star rating had I been able to talked to a person for technical support rather than email alone for communications. Updated to 4 Star as I received a positive response from the company. Good to know they monitor feedback on TrustPilot.

Very impressed with the customer…
Very impressed with the customer service. I had payment concerns and confusion having used PayPal for my on line purchase. Andrew Chambers took ownership of the issue and followed up showing appropriate customer care. It was the first occasion I have purchased from Eclisse. I would like to think all companies would treat customers like Andrew but sadly know this is wishful thinking.

Was surprised that I needed to submit a meter reading as I have a smart meter. Surely this information is provided automatically to both the supplier I'm leaving - OVO Energy and my new supplier - Home Energy.

Wish I'd switched before
Saw the Smarty advert on the TV. I previously owned a very old hand me down iPhone which technically needed updating so took the plunge and purchased a new iPhone then signed up to Smarty. I wish I'd done it before as at 73 years old I hadn't realised the potential of an up to date iPhone. The service and switch over to Smarty couldn't have been better/simpler with a great reception and a competitive 18 month guarantee on the price. Have been so pleased with Smarty my wife has recently made the switch.

Beware of this company
Without my intervention The Energy Shop instructed So Energy to take over my electricity supply. I have tried to telephone on several occasions with the line being dropped after a 15 minute wait. I will be reporting the incident to The Energy Ombudsman.
I note your response to my warning above. In response, these are the facts as I have them. I wasn't notified by third party of the impending switch, neither had I made a request. You have listed a number of telephone numbers which don't seem to work. I waited on your freephone number for more than 15 minutes on 2 occasions only for you to drop the line. There are similar complaints to mine listed on Trust Pilot. As they say there is no smoke without fire.

A company to avoid.
It appears the Bury St Edmunds branch is severely understaffed. Yesterday I made 5 phone calls trying to contact the service desk. On each occasion the line was cut off presumably because I'd remained on the line too long. On other occasions I’ve had the same difficulties.
Two years back I attempted to purchase a new ID3 for my wife having paid a deposit to hold the vehicle. I waited in the showroom close to an hour for an appointment. Eventually I gave up and walked out. Later I was phoned and reproached for being early for the appointment. Not true as it happens plus blaming the customer is never a good move. Needless to say I purchased an alternative EV from another supplier.
Other issues include mistakes on the pricing of pre-paid service plans and unecessary replacement of wiper blades at excessive prices.
Fortunately yesterdays experience led me to finding an independent VW specialist who couldn't be more helpful, so no more Marriott frustrations for me.
Reading other reviews it appears customer difficulties could eminate from understaffing along with a strict/rigid management strategy which doesn’t translate to good customer service and possibly the cause of staffing issues/retention? Who knows?
Presently if possible, I suggest a company to be avoided.

Beware of this seller
A friend guided me to the seller as I suffer from Planter Fasciliitis. I ordered shoes (Cloudwalk Pro) with payment by PayPal. The sales confirmation stated the seller would contact me when the goods were dispatched. As I heard nothing I tried to make contact by email using 2 addresses. Neither got through with a message the mailbox was full. There is no telephone number to make contact. I have now started the process of reclaiming my payment from PayPal. If the seller contacts me or the goods are delivered I will update this information but I'm not hopeful having read other reviews on Trustpilot.
The intervention from PayPal produced an immediate response and the shoes arrived yesterday. Firstly they are the wrong size. I ordered UK size 9 and was delivered US size 9. Secondly and most importantly the shoes are made for the fashion industry. They have nothing to suggest they are suitable for foot problems, just a soft insole and that's about it. I'm giving up on this company. Clearly they are misleading the market with their advertising. BEWARE, do not trust products advertised by Orthoback. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.
Eventually I received a return address but would have to pay the postage plus a £9 handling charge. Orthoback claimed this was all allowed within their terms of business. I knew differently so raised a complaint with PayPal who have reimbersed the charge. I will never do business with this company again so be aware.

Allica Bank just hasn't kept pace with…
Allica Bank just hasn't kept pace with the movement in interest rates for savers. Their 95 day notice account just hasn'r moved at all in recent months. I guess the bank is prepared to let savers wait to make withdrawls and take the loss in custom whiilst benefiting from a cheap souce of funding. I've been a customer since June 2021 but won't be renewing a notice investment.

Up until the delivery I was perfectly happy
Up until the delivery I was perfectly happy with the purchase of a TV. The goods arrived on time but from there it went rapidly downhill. The retailer informed me that a specialist 2 man team would deliver the TV. A young man hauled my 55 inch TV into the house on his own and said this was the first TV like this he had handled. The carton was untidy and partly protected by black shrink wrap and didn't look in pristine condition. He then proceeded on his own to haul the TV out by holding the top, but to be fair to him as he said he had received no training. (I later discovered it should have been lifted by 2 people taking the weight from the bottom after the outer carton had been slipped away.) It then became apparent there were parts and instructions missing. As there was no paperwork to confirm what should have been in the carton I didn't know what was missing, only there were no screws to affix the base to the TV. Eventually after an online conversation with the retailer and because of their onerous conditions of sale I refused to accept the delivery. The goods were then hurriedly re-packaged in a haphazard manner with smaller items falling through the packaging onto the floor when the box was lifted. Eventually I received the promised credit from the retailer some 15 days later. Had the delivery been more professional I would probably have accepted the goods and trusted the retailer to have supplied the missing parts.

How often can you speak to someone who understands the product you are insuring and is enthusiastic about vintage vehicles. You need look no further. Hagerty realy do know what they are talking about and gave me good advice.
