Had a bit of a hiccup with my order but it was quickly noted and a solution provided that be a longer wait. Some extras were thrown in for the trouble and everything arrived earlier than expected. Lov... Mehr ansehen

First time purchasing
I just got my first shipment from this company and it was great ^-^ everything was fast and easy. To be honest I dont really trust to many overseas sites (I live in America) but I actually recommend this one ^-^
Unprofessional
Ordered a nendoroid from her a while back, and while initially I was happy with the service, I now look back and see several red flags I should have noticed before.
First of all, the nendoroid I ordered was supposed to come with a pre-order bonus, which I never received, and instead resorted to buying this second hand. All of the nendoroids from the Twisted Wonderland collection come with bonuses, so I can only assume she kept it to sell on some other time.
Secondly, when I received the second half of the invoice, she wanted to charge me almost £20 for 1st Class UK shipping. Anyone who lives here knows small boxes that weigh very little via first class should cost no more than £5. I queried it as I didn't feel like paying that amount to ship one item within the UK, and she dropped the price eventually, but only to £15, so she still kept a hefty amount after paying for the shipping no doubt.
Another thing I just noticed in general is that she's incredibly rude to her customers, blasting people who don't pay exactly on time on her Instagram stories, or blocking them from seeing her account completely. Not to mention sending her followers after these people resulting in them getting unkind and horrible comments on their own account.
Like others have said, her items are far more expensive than what they're actually worth. To anyone serious about merch collecting and figure collecting, I'd recommend doing some research and finding a good proxy who will charge face value, take good care of your products, pack and protect them appropriately, and not overcharge for shipping. In most cases it still works out cheaper after shipping from Japan too.
All in all the nendoroid I bought after shipping cost me over £100. I could have ordered it from somewhere like AitaiKuji for just over £60.
MHA Hawks figure 5 🌟
My monthly payment for the Hawks figure I purchased arrived today he looks fantastic, the packaging was perfect really well done, communication with the seller really was very professional all over very impressed. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great price and fast delivery
Great price and fast delivery, considering it's coming straight from Japan! Definetly my go to for Anime figurines. I'm literally in love with my new Miku figures <3
Lovely little business
So just everyone is aware, I'm a genuine customer here. I've been buying from YY for a while now mainly grabbing Pokemon merch and I can honestly say I've not had a single bad experience with this seller.
Whilst ive been out of the loop when it comes to buying merch from japan I'm no stranger to the cost of importing and of uk postage costs. Her postage prices are correct for size and weight of the packages (signed for too).
Next I did order something small from a different website which cost the same price as YY(no longer had this item) however arrived about a week later than any of the items I got from YY. Her packages are usually out within 2 days.
Everything I have bought has arrived in perfect condition too.
To save on postage she offers open orders which I have used 2 times now. It really helps with the smaller items. You must let her know with this otherwise shes not a mind reader to know this.
As for preorders if she offers a payment plan over usually paying part upfront and next in 2 weeks. it does clearly state its your responsibility to remember to pay. You wouldnt just pay half of an item from a big business and then not pay them, so expect to pay here.
I've also had no problem with communication. Shes been friendly and helpful and has kept everyone up to date with stock updates and during her time with covid.
first time ordering!
great experience they were understanding and my orders arrived perfectly I'm so happy and will definitely order again in the future!
So Unprofessional
So unprofessional. My girlfriend was a loyal customer for a couple of years, probably paying in many hundreds of pounds, if not thousands; all while overlooking a lack of professionalism from yykawaii that in retrospect was pretty terrible. She’s rude, terrible at communicating, is constantly messing up invoices (ie trying to overcharge you as much as possible on products already 200% of their retail value), as well as publicly shaming her customers to her 25k Instagram followers. This happened to my girlfriend, after a series of mistakes that yykawaii herself made, and that was our last straw.
In addition to this, every transaction with her goes through paypal “family and friends,” seemingly to avoid paying tax. Very dodgy business practices if you ask me.
Avoid at all costs.
(Also there are so many bad reviews on here that are much more detailed than this one, please go give those a read. And ignore the obviously fake 5 star ones.)
Don’t buy from them!
Incredibly rude and unprofessional. Cant accept any criticism and has publicly complained about customers which has led to people being harassed. Maybe has the potential to turn things around and be a decent business but not with the current attitude.
Never again.
I’ve been a customer with YY Kawaii for many years, when not purchasing from her stalls at cons, I purchased regularly through her instagram handle. I love to be able to support small businesses and had thought for a long time that it was a great company. Like anywhere, negative reviews are voiced, and I was very quick to dismiss those regarding yy kawaii until I began to experience them myself (something I now admit was naive of me, but at the time trusted my personal experiences with the company). YY Kawaii’s professionalism has taken a steep nose dive in the last couple of years. Issues include, but aren’t limited to falsely stating when parcels have been dispatched, missing items, poor customer service and record keeping, selling pre-order bonuses separately, rudeness and blatant unprofessional behaviour.
When beginning to experience some of these issues, I initially dismissed it, everyone makes mistakes. However, as problems became more consistent, I had to result in contacting the business owner. Her response was often rude, blunt and at one time resorted to guilting tactics (one of which included that she was no longer willing to communicate because there had been a death in the family. Information such as this should not be used in retaliation to just wanting to resolve a minor issue. I would have been more than happy to wait. It is also arguable that in such a case, customers should be made aware that there will be a break in communication due to difficult circumstances), this particular issue happened after I sent a screen shot of a story she had posted proving she had lied to me regarding an item being dispatched.
As mentioned above Yy kawaii updates her customers on deliveries through the ‘story’ function on instagram. I was blocked from seeing these updates following Incident I mentioned above.
At this time, I had pre-orders of scale figures which had to be paid in monthly instalments and I no longer had access to the stories I needed to see. Luckily I had friends (who since no longer engage with the account) that could monitor and let me know any updates on the items I had ordered with her.
I would have confronted her on this, but due to a handful of expensive and pending items I had, I didn’t feel comfortable in communing with her further, as she has been known to cancel orders without refunding people what they have already spent and posting biased one sided accounts of ‘problem customers’ to rally support from her other customers.
Due to this, I waited it out until my expensive goods had been paid for and delivered before unfollowing and abandoning yy kawaii completely.
I always felt bad for the business owner in regards to the problems she faced with ‘problem customers’. Now I realise many of the issues she claims they ‘lied about’, were ones that I was eventually confronted with myself...
There is many other instances that I could mention, but the plethora of other negative reviews on here should steer you in the right direction.
YY responds to concerns and complaints with conflict. She can not cope with criticism.
I have since found wonderful alternatives such as Dekai anime, gamersheek, charming sushi and Hobby Ultra! All of which deliver within the uk (and without the extortionate postage fees). Goods are also much more appropriately priced.
One of YY kawaiis favourite incentives is that ‘communication is key’ something I think the company could very much do in practicing themselves.
You should always feel comfortable raising issues or concerns you have with an order (especially if you’ve spent a lot of money!!) you shouldnt have to feel like you’re walking on egg shells, or feel like an inconvenience when you’re choosing to support a business.
I’m not discounting the other positive reviews on here as, I like many others, once had better experiences. I’m just hoping my own experience reflects how suddenly the owners attitude towards you can change.
Please don’t order your fan base to leave good reviews
I’m an autistic adult. I find it really hard to buy merchandise from places like Instagram and fear of accidentally missing payments. Granted yy didn’t know this! I brought from yy prior 3 times before hand and was very clear with her communication wise. I paid off every invoice in full and told her a date on when I’d do it. Even though messaging gives me anxiety, I still went through with it! At first I was pleased (I did find out that she is actually charging so much more than other places but I understand that it’s a family owned business) and felt encouraged to buy from her more. In June/July , yy put out this niji mystery box on their page. I was absolutely estatic and asked for one. Unfortunately I asked for something a while back which I assumed yy just didn’t see. I got my invoice and I paid it. A few weeks later I was wondering where it I so I look on my pay pal to find out that yy actually sent me two invoices (which she was meant to do!! ) but on my end I didn’t see this and accidentally paid one. I was absolutely terrified because I just missed a payment and immediately went to yy to tell her what happened and explain that I cannot pay for it and I will have to cancel. Yy didn’t respond and I assumed this was ok. A month later yy was selling some very cute niji nesos . I did the comment on page thing and her response was this. “Are you going to cancel again”. I felt absolutely humiliated and even if it doesn’t seem like anything, to me it was a lot . I felt it was un needed and she could of dmed that to me instead of saying that in front of her followers. After that, I deleted my comment and unfollowed her, I didn’t know what else to do and granted I understand if this doesn’t seem like much but again it was uncalled for. Her attitude towards her customers is dreadful and she seems to have literally no understanding of how probsbly half of her customers might suffer with anxiety . Yy if you see this, please do not just shrug this off. Please learn from this and do better. And please don’t send your fanbase to write positive reviews to overlap the negative ones. We are here for a reason
First time buyer
Had my first order come from them and I'm happy that everything was packaged really well to avoid damage:)
So far happy with the service I've received! :)
Stop demanding your fanbase to leave reviews
Funny how she gets exposed for not being an actual registered business, avoids paying taxes and charges storage fees BECAUSE SHE HAS COVID? And suddenly this pages gets flooded with positive reviews once again? Stop sending your loyal fan base to leave good reviews because “we’re all haters” What grown woman can’t take criticism? You do know that the majority of us leaving critical feedback used to be loyal customers for years till we realised how much you were scamming us? I understand you need to make money but how does that equal a figure being £130 on most sites shooting to £260 for you? No wonder you say “item secured with 50%” because that’s usually the price of the item? Not to mention the zero communication skill you have despite saying how “important” it is for you- the amount of people who are terrified to message you because we all know how rude you are. I’ve seen countless of friends sending me screenshots of their messages to you asking if it’s okay incase you find it rude just to be treated rudely in response 90% of the time and that 10% is usually them being ghosted and I can say that’s happened to me many times. How about the lack of refunding? You’ve now stopped refunding people for “credit off their next invoice”? What business does that? Sure I can understand some doing so but only in select circumstances like if an item is slightly damaged but boxes will be destroyed, items completely broken, just going missing or you’ll forget to send a second invoice and it’s “credit back on next order” how about you actually give people their money back? How many times I’ve seen people who constantly pay their orders on time just for you to accuse them of not paying their second one when you never sent it in the first place? Or how about how you take preorders that have a bonus and just steal the bonus? Then delete the post preorder when people start questioning where the preorder bonus is because you’ve done this to make even more money! The majority of my nendo and figures came with preorders just for you to take them and sell them separately and many can say the same. It’s a shame because I did buy from you for 5 years straight but during lockdown I noticed how awful this proxy shipping service is- you lack morals and value YY stop ripping people off and then slandering them on your story? That’s not professional at all but hey you’re avoiding paying business taxes aren’t you so you’re legally not a business anyway. Stop asking your fanbase to send positive reviews. Be a grown woman and admit to your mistakes and change? Most of us want you to change and be a decent person? Anyway UK people- just use other sites, Amiami, cdjapan, dekai are 3 good major places to go to where they charge the usual normal price and I’ve not received customs since brexit- if you’re looking for people like YY but with morals Rawckz and MahouNippon are two lovely individuals who I now primarily buy from with amazing customer service and all round lovely people to message and request things from as we all know the anxiety dming YY gives
Please listen instead of sending people to give good reviews.
I had been ordering with yy for a couple years and was a very loyal customer. I would order EVERYTHING through them because I appreciated a small business taking the time to be doing this and save me hunting around multiple places for the same items. However over past years I have come to realize how much she takes advantage of those who are loyal to her and how disrespectful she is.
She HORRIFICALLY overcharges for items, I am all for making profits as a small business but this is extortionate, I have seen her charging over double prices of other stores. I ordered from her when I didn't know where to look and now I do I can see how extortionate these prices are. For popular shows and characters there will be an added 'series tax; and 'character tax' where if yy sees it is popular or someone is buying each thing of this character she raises the price knowing the person will pay it. I have watched as she attempted to sell preorder bonuses which literally had 'do not sell' on the pins and threw a tantrum when people mentioned it and would delete comments, even recently she had preorder bonuses for the miku figures which people had to dm her to claim? when she should have a record of who was entitled to those items.
This woman is a grown adult and yet would call out people on her story and in comments??? that is humiliating and UNPROFFESSIONAL she should not be putting people out there like that with 'will you cancel this time' 'will you pay this time' publically, you are a business, act like one and deal with things in private. I have been lucky that I have had ok service from her, I say ok because she is never kind enough or helpful enough to get good service from. There have been items of mine that have been delayed for months with no explanation till they randomly turned up (and I did check the story to keep up with, which is a whole other issue of not taking the time to update her customers properly), you will pay postage multiple times over and yet if there's any issues she will still have you pay more.
I would dread having to message her as she was always rude and abrupt even when you try to be overly nice, I have had invoices sent to me that were not mine, invoices where she messed up the character meaning I lost out on limited items. which I understand mistakes but she's so happy to so speedily sell on to the next person she will leave you high and dry. She has posted previously about wanting positive reviews because negative ones damage her mental health and yet you should not be asking for reviews that way it is ingenuine.
Like a previous review. I have like that reviewer also had figurines sent to me in a padded envelope (luckily they were small ones which didn't get damaged and ones that I wouldn't mind a whole lot even if they did but that is not a sufficient way of sending something that normally is quite fragile and collectible. She has her small children for years handling products. It is not really sanitary to do so in the first place, nevermind during a pandemic, the fewer people touching what people have paid for the better.
If you so much as speak negatively even slightly or question her genuinely your comments are deleted or you are blocked and I have seen many people for little reason then lose their deposits and have their item resold at full price. This is a grown woman acting like a child when people question her practices even in polite tones. I am too anxious to even use my name here because I have one last preorder that I refuse to lose my money on if she blocks me which she does anyone who has a not positive opinion of her.
I cannot recommend shopping elsewhere to anyone enough, to be treated with decency and pay fair prices with regular updates. I wanted to ease my shopping with yy and just shop more elsewhere but with her actions I cannot continue my support.
I've been buying from yy for years now…
I've been buying from yy for years now and I am pretty satisfied
Of course some items are a bit pricey sometimes and I can understand if people are upset, but as other people already stated, no one forces you go buy from her
Overall I enjoy ordering from yy cause it's simple for me and some items are actually cheaper than from other sites sometimes
For example, I bought the Klee 1/7 scale figure from her. I received the figure and the preorder bonus for 155£ + 25£ shipping (I always get the signed international shipping as I live outside of UK)
All other websites I tried to get this figure from wanted prices for over 200€ up to over 300€ .
Or, a more recent example, I bought an Espresto figure from her which was half the price than from another website I frequently use
As a conclusion to the price situation, I can understand that some things are expensive, some maybe even more than overpriced
But honestly, everyone being able to make such purchases should be old enough to know how to compare websites, find ones you like and trust and always go with the cheaper option or just
Don't buy the item?
The few pound I pay more than with other services are fine with me as its to support a small business.
I never had problems with her customer service either personally
I recently received a wrong item.
I just quickly messages her, we checked the situation and the right item was included in the next package, no rude behaviour or ghosting at all. It was a quick and objective talk we had.
She always answers within an hour usually, but no longer than a day after I contact her.
I also sometimes have trouble with the parcel service in my country just messing up so badly that packages get returned without a reason (like I hate DHL so much but that's not the point here.)
Everytime she informed me if a package returned (as the tracking on the DHL site still stated the package was in my country; I am now checking both the Royal mail tracking and the one from DHL to know beforehand)
And we discussed and found a way to get those resend to me, once again no rude behaviour, ghosting or whatever else negative included.
To put it in a nutshell, I am super satisfied and will continue to use her service and I hope that it stays this way.
Great Service!
Lovely seller, kind and understanding. Always gives customers time to pay invoices - as long as we pop her a message! Pricing may be higher than some places but she gets in all the items you could want and offers open orders so you can only pay shipping once and accumulate lots of items over a certain amount of time. You also don’t have to worry about import fees like you would if you imported directly from Japan, which puts you at ease as you know all the costs upfront. Overall, a very good service with fast communication. As with most other small businesses, sellers require your communication - they are only one person trying to make a living! I’ve been ordering for almost a year and every time made open orders, yykawaii is very patient and keeps my orders open for a very generous amount of time, I can’t fault the service I have received during this time!
a long term customer
i have been a long term customer for yykawaii, i have spent thousands of pounds with them & have purchased a majority of my collection with them, but as of today i am fed up with their poor customer service, not knowing if/when a parcel will ship, the complete lack of any tracking info whatsoever, their standoffish & unapproachable attitude & their disorganisation + their immensely high prices- i've had items missing, items arrived damaged, items arrive in shein bags instead of a plastic bag & when i question it; i'm made to feel as though i'm wrong for asking as to why my item i paid £50 for has been sent in a shein bag.
i've had plenty of items missing/faulty from them, but due to how unapproachable they are & how violent their fanbase is- it has made me feel as though i had no option but to just deal with it & tell myself i didn't mind the fact the item i paid roughly £40 for was faulty.
but i'm now at a point where i do not care, as i was charged warehousing costs recently when yykawaii is actually unable to even ship out any of my items in their 'warehouse' as they are self isolating, i drew the line at that. a majority of the items found through yykawaii are available on amiami, sanrio jp if you use a proxy service such as neokyo or fromjapan or white rabbit express, there are much better more inviting & cheaper personal shoppers who directly live in japan!
i naively purchased for several years now from yykawaii, & there has been no loyalty on their part, there has been no understanding or patience with my most recent late invoices, despite explaining my situation several times to them. i understand they have a family, but regardless they have used tactics like saying 'i have a family to feed' against me to guilt trip me into forking out the money for an invoice sooner, despite the fact that with their price mark ups, they very clearly can feed their family, being a small business & having a family does not give you the right to behave this way towards your customers, there are plenty of third party resellers besides yykawaii who are able to give you tracking info, better customer service, are more compassion/understanding & charge considerably less, so you wouldn't constantly have late invoices with them!
yykawaii makes you pay an extra £5 for almost every transaction for shipping on-top of the high price of an item, which ultimately seems useless because eventually they simply ship some items in one box to you after waiting several weeks to receive just items they have on hand. eventually you've paid about £30 in postage when they have only paid £4.20. i understand completely the fact that you pay £5 per item for signed for postage so they can be shipped separately & it can be refunded if the package is lost as it'll be covered, but i usually get multiple items shipped in the exact same box in which i will have paid £5 each per item, & will not be refunded whatsoever for the shipping cost. whether or not this is intentional on yykawaii's part or is just down to poor organisation i do not know, but regardless it is not ok, & as mentioned previously you are discouraged from even discussing it with them as to how they act towards their customers.
i do have good memories of yykawaii, their kuji live streams are enjoyable to watch & fun to be apart of, i did receive a box or two with drawings by their daughters, which i did not find to be unprofessional, it truthfully made my day. but the negatives heavily outweigh the positives, as at the end of the day they are disorganised, rude & have shady business practices. it does seem easy & wonderful to shop with them when you come across a video of an influencer who received a bunch of items for free, but in reality it's not the same as that whatsoever.
i'd love to go back & give yykawaii another chance in the future if their customer service gets better or if their prices become more reasonable, but at the end of the day even with the price of shipping from japan if you just buy directly you're saving a lot of money & will receive better customer service.
near the end of my time with yykawaii i will admit i did get to a point where i dreaded a new message from them, as i did have three invoices leftover, in which i did fully intend to pay but i had just recovered myself from covid-19, had a massive issue with one of my incomes in particular that i'm still sorting out now, & i had many other family related incidents i was sorting through, i didn't really know how to explain that i was fed up with their poor customer service & the fact i usually felt quite upset when i received a package in which i had clearly overpaid for- (especially considering yykawaii posts publicly about customers they have conflict with, which is not ok whatsoever) as previously mentioned i drew the line at charging warehousing costs whilst unable to even ship out.
Super cute good quality items ^_^
I've ordered a few times from YY now, invoices are sent quickly, fast delivery. Super cute, good quality items and fab prices. Really enjoy the Kujis, love the surprise.
Great service!
I've ordered from YY quite a few times now and had no issues at all! Invoices are sent out quickly and orders get dispatched in a timely manner. My figures have always been packaged well - plenty of bubble wrap to keep the box protected. I'd happily recommend YY to anyone looking for businesses to buy from!
Disorganised, poor customer service and overpriced
For years I exclusively and naively shopped with YY on Instagram, but this has now come to an end.
I always see people get upset that its pointed out that the prices are so high because its a family business and she needs to make a profit, and therefore it supposedly is unjust to have an issue with a small business' prices. I now shop with numerous other small business' that are often run by one person, and they do not charge anywhere close to YY's prices. I also import goods myself straight from Japan, and even though customs and shipping bumps the original item price up, I still am not paying close to what I did with YY. I can't encourage people to shop around enough, there's still plenty of UK sellers and sellers in Japan who will provide items for a much better price that would allow the seller to make a profit and still be well justified for the buyer!
Sometimes certain items should come with a preorder bonus as in Japan they're only available through a particular manifacturer or seller, however, YY has sold exclusive preorder bonuses separately. When people, including myself, asked about why they were being sold separately, the sales post eventually got deleted so no one could see that she had been challenged. This is a really awful business practice, if people are asking a genuine and justified question, you should be transparent and address it and hold yourself to account. It wouldn't be so bad if the original item wasn't so expensive without the preorder bonus, but with the already high price, it is a bit of a slap in the face to see something that probably should've been with your preordered item be sold separately.
It seems that YY can never be in the wrong. I had a figure posted to me in a padded envelope which was inappropriate and led to the box around the figure being crushed to pieces. It hadn't been marked as fragile, and even though the figure was small, should've been posted in a box to ensure it made it safely. When I asked about why it had been posted in an envelope and not a box, and explained that the figure box was now damaged, I didn't get an apology, just told that next time I ordered, to specify that I wanted figures to be shipped in a box. Thankfully I'm not a collector who displays items in their boxes, but either way, it left me feeling like it was somehow my fault for not knowing that it wouldn't be shipped in something sufficient. Deflecting the issue onto the buyer, who had nothing to do with it, is poor customer service. yykawaii.com policy says "If your case gets lost in the mail or damaged during shipping, you will not be eligible for a refund. I will always provide proof of posting and will help you with your claim if it does get lost or damaged. ", but I got none of this.
Time and time again I watch people ask genuine questions when unhappy about an order or how they've been treated, but it is only ever the buyers' fault, and her passionate fanbase don't hesitate to alienate people online, as more public "callouts" sometimes get posted by YY on her story.
Any time I've had to message YY for any reason, I get anxious and overcompensate for the response I could get by being overly nice, which is something no one should feel when messaging a seller. Don't get me wrong, there are people who are time wasters, but the rest of your customer base who have genuine queries about a product shouldn't feel so negatively when trying to message.
Certain fandoms and even specific characters get hit with being popular tax from YY, which inflates the prices of certain items more, even though when bought elsewhere, characters are usually all the same price regardless of popularity. I'm never against small business' making a profit, but when the prices are already higher than most, increasing the price people pay on certain characters personally rubs me the wrong way.
I also struggle with YY's practice that on instagram, you always need to check her story in case your item is delayed/lost. I've had an item go missing in the post, and it never reached her, but she didn't post anything about it on her story, and if it weren't for me DMing her personally, I wouldn't have even known that it was lost. I even got refunded the incorrect amount, but after the way I had been spoken to, I didn't feel confident in pointing it out and cut my losses. Not worth being talked down to and stressed out just to get a full refund.
Please shop around, if you want UK sellers, there's plenty on instagram or can be googled. For ordering things straight from Japan, there's AmiAmi, CDJapan, and for secondhand goods, Mandarake and SolarisJapan.
Beware - many of these positive reviews are fake
Yykawaii is extremely unprofessional - she is not a licensed business and asks her customers to pay using friends & family meaning you have NO buyer protection when she fails to send something or re-sells something you’ve already paid her for (see other 1* reviews on here!)
She’s very unprofessional, rude and aggressive in her tactics. Her prices are VERY inflated, to take advantage of customers who don’t know any better - you can import things directly from Japan with better protection & at a much cheaper cost than her pre-orders. Her communication style is extremely blunt & rude and she can be needlessly aggressive about invoices.
A lot of these reviews are ones she’s asked kawaii influencers (who get stuff from her for free) to write, or she’s invited people to write positive reviews to counteract the bad ones.
