I wanted to cancel my order. So they would sent my money back, but they didn’t so not only STOLE the 20$ they also where just so MEAN. DO NOT BUY YOUR STUFF HERE

my favourite merchandise importer by far…

this importer is by far one of my go-tos when it comes to buying merchandise! everything that i’ve ordered from this shop has arrived in perfect condition and, especially when ordered from current stock, the items are shipped and arrive incredibly quickly. i’ve never had a bad experience shopping here and plan to order here much more in the future!

Sit back and enjoy the storm that is yykawaii

This is going to be long so i apologies, but i HAD been buying from YY since 2016, and i use to be a semi good 'friend' of this person but the way they treated my friends is why i finally stopped supporting her, but i won't be talking about my friends here but my own experience.

Incident 1: I had pre ordered several keychains with her back in 2018, i had met her at a convention where she was talking about wanting to stock a specific fandom but would need people to pre order before hand due to not knowing it that 'franchise was popular' after speaking with her she said her brother could order several things from the animate japan store for her ( for me) i went ahead and purchased around £100 worth of. keyrings/badges/pins ETC of my partners favourite character for his 30th birthday. as this was a pre order she told me it would be several months before i would receive it but i was okay with that. her brother purchased and sent them along with some of the other ' items' she had bought and i saw them on her IGstory for ' sale' i thought maybe she had just got extras as this character was popular.
No, between the time i ordered, and them being released this franchise got really big, myself and others had bought a lot from this franchise from her so she soon realised the character i asked for was very sought after and decided to ' re sell' the ones i bought at a higher price and said. 'oops i forgot' she did not give me my money back she just used it to ' pay for other items i had on pre order' this was without my permission too, i asked for the money back and her reply was ' well its not 'really'. your money since you have pre ordered' ( please note i was NEVER late with paying invoices! )

Incident 2: okay this happened not long after, another pre order i had was for a popular nendroid that sold out very very very fast ( please note i had pre ordered BEFORE the previous event happened ) when it arrived in the UK this nendroid was going on ebay and other reselling sites for almost £300-£500!, im sure you can guess what she did. she sold mine and sent another ' oops'

Incident 3- back to the popular series i mentioned previously, she would often ordered full boxes of blind boxes and split them between people, but as this series was still new to her customers it was mainly myself and one other who was buying them. She had inboxed me a few times in regards to these boxes as they werent ' selling out' so she couldnt order. so i had agreed to pay for more keyrings/badges ETC to get it funded. we had an agreement that i was paying for, character 1, character 2, character 3, ETC and it was even on my invoice. but when she 're-listed them' she let other people 'claim' the ones i had already paid for due to her ' pandering' in my inbox. this happened multiple times, meaning i was getting left with characters i did not want which she ' character taxed' the ones i had already paid for to make even more money. ( listing the ones i DID buy as cheaper too )

Incident 4: due to her messing me around i had enough, i had a friend who was teaching in japan and had offered to buy me the products at FACE VALUE and ship them to me meaning i was paying 1/3 of what she was charging me, when they arrived i would take photos and thank my friend, YYkawaii popped up on my FB on my private account with her PRIVATE account to accuse me of 'promoting' fakes because i didnt ' buy' from her there for they had to be fake. when i told her they werent fake, she then went on to say ' well if they arent fake and you didnt buy them from me then you must have bought them from charmingsushi ( another seller who i am personal friends with) and went on to slating her as a person ( not even a business
)

Incident 5:- her kids making tiktok videos to provokative songs and hitting, kicking punching merch people had PAID FOR including bags that actually arrived damaged to customers :(

Last lets not forget the live streams of her kids picking their nose and rubbing it on product

Great seller and items always arrive in…

Great seller and items always arrive in perfect condition. She is such a delight to talk to and is never rude also tends to reply fast. People don't realise that she is a small business with just her running it and is also a full time mum!

A really great selection of official…

A really great selection of official products at sensible prices - the best place to get anything from Japan! All the latest merch is available, and I especially love the selection of Kuji's complete with the lottery experience. Customer service is A tier, can't recommend it enough!

Fantastic customer service!!

Fantastic customer service. Great selection of merchandise! Absolutely love the Kujis (raffle like sale).
All of their terms an conditions are very clear!
They have all information very clearly laid out, especially on their Instagram!
They took notice of how much I was ordering (as I order via instagram) and made my orders into 1 big order to save me money on shipping!
Most sellers would charger shipping per sale when selling like this, especially when ordering on different days! (From previous experience buying from sellers)
I've received a few if my order so far and all arrived about 4days after I paid in full which is extremely fast especially coming from UK!
I appreciate all that you've done so far and look forward to ordering more!!

I had good experience

I had good experience! I sent them message of the item I wanted and they sent me invoice for it. After the package was shipped I got tracking number and the product arrived in two week.

I will definitely order all my Sanrio stuff from them now on! 👍🏻💕

Never Again

This seller is severely disorganised. I have been ghosted twice by yykawaii. And when I messaged her, there was no information about my first order, safe to assume I'm not getting the invoice for it. The second was for two figures and she said she'd send over the invoice which I never got and in the week since that, I've found the two figures at a much lower price. So, she clearly marks up her products quite severely. I ended up paying £60 for both, including shipping, compared to her £95 which is not even including the price of shipping. I don't recommend you buy from yykawaii.

PLEASE READ!

I've been shopping via YY kawaii for almost 2 years now. I've never once had an issue. I comment on an item I want, and if my claim is successful, I'll receive an invoice in under 24 hours and the item arrive within the week. If its a preorder, I always tend to pay in full. There was a time where I'd only lay half of a deposit and the pay the second half later. However, there came a time where I couldn't pay the 2nd half. The terms clearly state deposits are non-refundable (it's the same with renting a house. You mess up, you lose the deposit. At least, that's how I see it.) So, with it being non-refundable, I messaged, apologised and accepted the loss. That's fine by me. Since then, I have paid in full. I wasn't made to feel guilty or fear the seller. It was a mistake on my part.

Now, I've read all the reviews on here, and there are quite a lot of them. A lot of reoccurring themes pop up, and I'm trying my best not to be biased here, however I will defend this business for what it has personally done for me. I can not speak ill of them as I have not experienced, nor witnessed anything firsthand. (No, I'm not "blind" and I'm not going to discredit anyone else's experience, I am just giving my own honest review of my own experiences.)

So, going off of the other reviews, the first of the common themes was the marking up of prices. Yes, some items are hiked up a fair bit, however no one is forcing you to pay those prices. (I'm sure if you look on places like eBay, you'll find similar, if not worse prices)
When buying from YY, I always take into account where my money is going. I don't mind paying a few extra pounds if it means I'm supporting a small independent business and her family. If I've seen an item that is too high, I'll simply buy it elsewhere. There's no shame in that.

The second theme I found was the seller's attitude... Now, personally, I've never experienced anything other than politeness and "thank you"s when purchasing an item, and if I've ever had a query, it's met with a prompt and honest answer. She also thanks her buyers through Instagram stories if they share a public post. That tells me she's grateful for her customers.

The third running theme was being disorganised. YY is a one-woman business owner who has a family to support. And with those factors in play, I think she's doing an amazing job at keeping things going at the pace she does. Everything I've ordered has arrived on time, if not early. She must deal with 100s of orders every week, so asking customers to schedule in their own invoice dates doesn't seem like a bad thing when you realise the workload she had. She could hire an assistant, however they're costly. If I'm correct, YYkawaii is situated in London, so the cost of hiring am assistant for such a small task isn't cost effective. (I could just be talking out of my ars here, however London is known to be an expensive area.)

Okay, so the fourth and final running theme was unsanitary working conditions... What?
YY runs a business from her home, like most sellers do. It's not uncommon. YY has full transparency on where/how the items are stored and even has a designated area. She does have her children help sometimes, however children are curious and like to help. That comes with having children. I don't believe for a minute that YY lets them handle expensive goods. Its more them labeling Kuji items and opening gashas. And I've always been under the notion that any merch her children are holding in promotional pictures or Instagram stories, were bought solely for the child? There have been times where the children have decorated boxes, however the boxes are empty? So what's the issue?
I do understand not everyone wants children handling their paid goods, however don't order from a home business that has children?

Anyway, to wrap this up I'm going to personally keep supporting YY until I ever (if ever) come across my own personal issues. A lot of these reviews are fair and constructive, however I myself have never experienced any negativity.

For anyone interested in buying from YY, it's best to see and experience for yourself. She sells a wide range of merchandise, from anime figures to Starbucks cups. I do recommend YYkawaii and will continue to do so.

A family business with first class customer service <3…

I use YYKawaii regularly and I’m so impressed every time! Merchandise is always genuine & good quality, prices are competitive and customer service is excellent! For example, royal mail lost one of my parcels and they chased it up right away (on a Sunday night too!) and located my delivery almost immediately. I really like the open order system to save on postage and that they offer a deposit service. I also love all the personal touches that you only get from a family business ^-^ Can’t recommend these guys enough!

My go-to for Kawaii merch! They offer authentic items from Japan at really good prices, and since they ship within the UK there’s no worries about custom fees, etc. Packages are always sent promptly too and well packaged, highly recommend!

You Order once,and never make the same mistake again.

I hate writing reviews against small businesses. But I think people should know before they get themselves involved. I don’t mind the elevated prices. She needs to make a profit.Although it is a BIG mark up, just for the convenience of you not having to deal with custom fees, postage etc yourself. But what bothers me is her attitude stinks. She is aggressive, ungrateful to her faithful customers, and just damn right rude. She makes mistakes, has frequent childcare and family crisis and delays. Which is fine. We all do. But the same understanding doesn’t apply when these things happen to her customers. We have to deal with these things too,and yet she vilifies you for it. I hasten to add that I paid my invoice in full, straight away. But I’ve seen this treatment of my friends and online, and let’s be honest, you wouldn’t tolerate Tesco treating you like that, so why her just because she’s a small business? If you can, save yourself the wrath of her disappointed disapproval and shop else where if you can.
