Performed exactly as expected

I’ve been with them for about a year. The enrollment was pretty easy. Brent was a great communicator. Last month I took the car into Tesla for a squeaky suspension unit. The pre-approval was very easy. Surprisingly, Tesla found several thousands of dollar of additional work needed. All I had to do was send Xcare the updated estimate and it was approved. The only issue was that Tesla hourly charge was too high. I was surprised this wasn’t called out before, but it’s nothing new from extended warranty companies. 90% of the estimate was covered.

November 2025 Xcelerate Auto / XCare Warranty Review

I'm writing this positive review about a XCelerate Auto and their XCare Tesla third party extended electric vehicle warranty. I purchased the warranty in the beginning of 2024 not thinking it would actually cover everything that the warranty listed.

Just like most people I was skeptical about purchasing a third party/aftermarket extended warranty. You always hear about the horror stories of the company not holding up their end of the agreement or going out of business. That is not the case with XCelerate Auto and XCare warranty. Xcelerate Auto and their XCare Extended EV Protection Warranty came through for me.

Recently in October 2025, I started having issues with my 2020 Tesla Model X ac not cooling and making a clunking/clicking noise while turning. Turns out my ac compressor overheated and half shafts were bad. The parts and labor quote from Tesla was in the thousands of dollars.

I made a claim as soon as I got the repair quote with the cause of parts failure from Tesla and emailed it over to Xcelerate Auto claims department not really sure what they were going to cover. They emailed me back within the hour, and they replied back with we got you covered, to include the diagnosis of the vehicle issues, parts, and labor. I was stunned, but still a little skeptical that they were actually going to honor the warranty agreement.

Their XCare Extended EV Protection Warranty was expensive but absolutely worth every penny that I spent on it. My claims Rep Libby was awesome and super responsive. She got back to me throughout the repair process sometimes within minutes as I was still pretty skeptical that once the repairs were finished if they were truly going to pay for the cost of the repairs that they authorized as covered.

Once the repairs were completed by the Tesla service technicians, the claims reps from Xcelerate/XCare provided the payment over the phone and upheld their end of the agreement. The claims process was one of the smoothest and painless warranty coverage experiences I've ever been through.

I hope this review helps other people that are looking for a trustworthy and reliable company like Xcelerate Auto that offers an extended warranty for their Tesla or other electric vehicle.

Deducted past clams against unused prepaid premium on refund request

Purchased an extended warranty for my Model X, then cancelled it after I sold the car. Requested a refund for the unused prepaid premium, which was a little over $2K. They then deducted past claim amounts against the unused prepaid premium, so the net "refund" amount came to a little over $6. Asked the Rep shouldn't the claim amounts have been paid for by past paid premium, and not by the unused prepaid premium, and she said that's their policy. Basically they don't want to give any unused prepaid premium back so make sure you use up as much claim as you can before you cancel.

Our policy like most others is to offer pro-rata refunds less any time/miles that have elapsed through the term, minus any paid claims. Seems like XCare worked as intended for you.

My Tesla repair bill

I just had an expensive repair bill for my Tesla. From the moment I contacted XCare to when they paid the final bill, the process was incredibly smooth. They are very helpfull over the phone and they are prompt in answering emails. THANK YOU XCare

Tesla service recommends XCare for me…

Tesla service recommends XCare for me when I was out of warranty and couldn’t buy their extended service contract. I was researching other companies to be sure I was making the best choice and the biggest other company that offers coverage doesn’t cover more than $6,000 towards battery when XCare’s contract says they cover $30,000 towards battery alone. No brainer.

Xcare is the Real Deal!

I normally don’t write reviews, but this company is so Excellent, I couldn’t stay silent anymore. I’m normally quite wary of after market warranties, but this company is the Real Deal. After pestering Brent on several occasions over a year + period of time (and he never failed to answer All of my questions), I decided to get a warranty in late 2022 on my Model S. So far I have had 2 claims to date and Xcare paid both without issue.

Yes, I had to pay upfront but that was not Xcare’s fault. It was my local Tesla service center that decided they would not deal with any after market warranty companies. But Xcare makes the process for reimbursement as simple as it can be (just email them a copy of the paid invoice & as long as you called in the issue in advance of the repair to get it approved, you’ll get a check within 2 weeks).

Not to mention, the warranty can move with the car if you decide to sell it so it actually adds value there.

Im the first time doing the third party…

Im the first time doing the third party financing for my Tesla model X..Xcelerate auto was recommended to me by Tesla. Deb Walsh at xcelerate was very professional, knowledgeable, kind and patient. I waited a year and half to get my tesla. The delivery was for Friday but got delayed. So on Saturday, an hour to the delivery i got a call from Tesla, there was complication with third party paper works and delivery was delayed...i was in tear. I left a desperate voicemail for xcelerate on Saturday and did not expect respond as office is closed during the weekend. But i got a call back from Deb on Saturday afternoon. She was so kind and patient to walk me thru step by step in the process. She even worked on Sunday to make sure i would get my car deliver. I did get my car on Sunday. Deb went above and beyond of her duty to help me and im so grateful. I would recommend xcelerate to all my family members and friends.

Appreciation of the new staff

My husband and myself have been using this gym in Edgware for some time and we have to appreciate the recent change . It seems there is a change in staff which I must say as we find. The gym is alot cleaner, be it the facilities or the equipment or the bins. The whole place looks so much better and clean. Charley has made a tremendous difference to the place with sheer hardwork and we want to appreciate her dedication. Also Noa the new lady at the desk is very welcoming and very courteous and ready to help. Please do not leave and keep it up.

X Care

X Care, has been amazing to deal with on warranty items. The customer service reps are friendly and efficient. I chose to pay for the repair and XCare sent me a reimbursement check in 7 days. I definitely recommend X Care for Tesla extended warranty.

Easy to work with and paid my claim quickly.

I've been very happy with them so far! It was easy to get a hold of the person handling my claim and they paid quickly. So far the warranty has replaced both of my back handles on my model S. Which can be very expensive.

XCare: best investment for all Tesla owners

Owning my 2013 P85 I know it’s history and plan to keep it for many years to come - at 48k miles I also plan to keep it in tip-top shape. Having XCare gives me piece of mind with repairs. I know that my out-of-pocket is limited and using XCare is super easy. We bought it for my husband’s 2015 P90D and our son bought it for his 2019 S. Not only
are repairs covered like MCU failures & daughterboards, given the difficulty in reaching Tesla’s roadside assistance these days, having XCare provides an easier way to get on-the-road service when needed. I highly recommend XCare to every Tesla owner I know. I

It was actually terrible

It was actually terrible. Tesla does not actually have an agreement with your company. I had to pay out of pocket on several occasions only to have to get reimbursed at a later date. Then there’s Chris who supposedly worked for Tesla and has no idea what he is doing and who’s sole job is to find ways to deny claims for things that should be covered. For example, each time I had a claim I had to call the warranty company and get a rep on the phone to give a credit card to the service advisor because they expect payment at the time of service. It’s extremely inconvenient.

Warranty is just as described

Warranty is just as described. They paid for everything Tesla would have, they pay over the phone with Tesla and they do it quickly. Very happy with this warranty.

Not a good value

I do not recommend this extended warranty. If your car gets totaled, you do not get anything back if they paid for your repairs even if you had left over coverage during your total loss. Just save that money for repairs that you initially pay

When a vehicle gets totaled, then there is a pro-rated refund that goes back to the policy holder. The pro-rated warranty takes into consideration the time and odometer that has elapsed through the coverage, minus any claims that have been paid as being an XCare member - if the amount surpasses the cost of the warranty paid, then there is no amount to be pro-rated back. In your circumstance, it looks like half of the term elapsed and almost $4k in claims was successfully paid by having the coverage. We are very happy that $4k in repairs were covered by having XCare and so sorry to hear your vehicle was totaled.
