I've never seen such revolting public loos in my life. Absolutely sickening and cost 40p to use!

Theo has provided the best customer experience. Even when the delivery company are unable to communicate with me about the whereabouts of my sofa, Theo kept things together and made sure I stayed happy.
I'm also extremely excited about the sofa which Theo sold me and can't wait for it to arrive.

This council policy for resolving antisocial behaviour on the council housing estates is to ask the victims to stand in the communal garden filming or photographing people as they behave badly. Because use of CCTV is not allowed.

I was told to do this by my housing manager.

They said they are unable to do anything unless I have a photograph or video of the act being committed.

Then they said that noone else has made a report. Is it any wonder nobody reports anything.

When I started living in a council house I was told that the council just let the estates turn into crime ridden hell zones. I didnt believe it because I saw lots of workmen coming and caring for our flats. But now I know the truth. It is the fault of the council & the police that these places are rotten to the core. They enable and support this behaviour. They allow this behaviour. Once people realise they can do what they like they have a field day.

Basically you can go out into your garden and shout and rant. You can vandalise all the council property inside and outside your flat. You can leave dog mess everywhere and fly tipping. You can destroy your neighbours property. So long as you are not filmed or photographed by your neighbour, no action will be taken against you.

went to york for an overnight stay to do sightseeing ..the local people are so helpfull to us and very friendly .thank you people of york

As a York resident I find our council completely useless.

On the few times that I have requested their support the answer has either been 'no' or I have received no reply.

The only service I seem to get for my council tax is the collection of waste bins and even that is not very good, with the collection of household waste every two weeks. My friend in France gets her bins collected every three days.

I contacted them about trimming council owned trees that were overhanging my property and their answer was that I have to pay to have them trimmed.

I have contacted them about issues with the road, with street signs and parking. No help there.

They have recently given permission for one of the last remaining green spaces near my house to be built on - with ugly low-cost houses jammed together. They want the new houses to fill quotas and get more people paying council tax. They pretend to care about the environment but they don't. They just care about money.

When I contacted them, with a nice letter including photos, about an environmental issue - they did not reply and took no action.

They do nothing to prevent crime. They have no police on the beat, apart maybe from the city centre.

They are useless beyond belief. I have the impression that the only thing that concerns them is their own jobs and pensions. They do almost nothing for the people of York. Shame on them!
