I called in to see if I could open a Loyalty ISA as a long standing customer of YBS over many years.
It was nearest branch in Woking. I was attended by Penelope Doyle the Customer Consultant who explained the process and helped me with my online application on my phone. She was professional and kind and explained well what else YBS has on offer.
She asked me about Home Insurance and Life Search and if I was interested to find out more- YBS has so much to offer their customers and I would trust their recommendations.

Wonderful to actually find a company that still champions it’s customer services. After easily opening a new account with the YBS it was a pleasant surprise to get a call from my local branch to welcome me onboard. Brilliant Yorkshire Building Society well done.

I needed to fransfer some funds for an emergency purchase after my car broke down. Found YBS let me down by delaying the transfer which will cause me to lose another off work. Pkus the extra, unexpected expence off travel to a car dealership because off this delay.
Sadly, what has been a good saving experiance has caused me to lose out on another days wagrs plus £60 travel costs due to a lack of support.
Sadly, i will be closing all my accounts because in an emergency, YBS will let you down with your own money and, thats just unexceptable.

Had a mortgage offer recently and had the purchase fall through and needed to get a replacement property arranged.

Absolutely everyone we dealt with along the way has been perfect.

So incredibly helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and really felt like everyone was invested and went out of their way to help us. Such prompt service and even when we were asking for something difficult or to try and turn things around quickly - every single person tried their best to help.

I’ve had accounts with YBS for years. Every single time I open a new account they do a full ID check then the account sits pending further checks for at least a week with no deposits allowed. It’s ridiculous. I’d understand if I was a new customer or even if I hadn’t been ID checked recently. Feels like they delay the process to keep my funds in lower rate accounts. Moving to Nationwide and Skipton who have less painful processes.

The staff are efficient helpful friendly and treat everyone as individuals This was at Great Yarmouth Branch and we were Helped by Ben ,but all the staff are just as helpful and I think that is the same in all the branches
