Not as promised/ bad service/dont buy
I was told BEFORE my purchase that I will be receiving a call the next day and product two weeks after.
Turned out there are no call. I tried to call 3 times, noone answered.
TWO WEEKS later (due date), the customer service answered my call and said she needs the product code and will call back, guess what she disappeared. Three days later I called again and finally know that the product isnt in the stock!! Come on you have promised the delivery date on your website, if you dont have the product just so. I am unsatisfied because I could have purchase from other website at even lower price. I picked this one only bc I saw it has high rating and decided to pay more for better service. Anyway, I got the product but it was like two weeks delay from what is promised (a month after my purchase date).

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are sorry you had problems reaching us when you needed to and feel we let you down. Whilst we usually do better in terms of delivery we did keep to the promise we made according to what we were told by the carrier. I can see you placed an order with us at 23.03 hrs on Thursday 10th September 2015 and an automatically generated order confirmation was emailed to you immediately. We do say that we will be in contact about delivery; we do avoid saying ‘phone call’ because usually contact is via email. It sounds as though this caused some confusion. We did email you at 09.04 hrs on Friday morning, the next day. We advised you of the delivery process and that the item was estimated to be delivered in 4–6 working days. Some carriers (generally on lower value items), in order to make a reasonable delivery cost, optimise their delivery runs, so need to be able to fill a truck when delivering to a specific post code/post codes, therefore we were unable to be specific about a delivery day for this item. It is very far from ideal but it is done to keep costs down; as part of the process the carrier does need to make contact, to make those final arrangements.
If you tried to reach us between 11th and 16th September and were unable to get through we are extremely sorry. I am not too sure where your ‘2 weeks later’ comes from, as we have a record of a phone call, attempted call-back and email less than 6 days (4 working days) later? You should have had the opportunity to leave a message if all our team were busy on 3 occasions; we have checked our voice messaging system and haven’t been able find a message from you I’m afraid. We can see that you called us on 16th September 2015 for an update. We did need to check information so we said we would call you back. Our records show we were unable to reach you on the number provided and that an email was sent to you at 13.53 hrs the same day, advising you that delivery should be expected by the 18th September 2015, within the 4-6 day estimate.
Your review talks about contact by phone which seems to have led to some of the problems experienced. Indeed, we tried to reach you by phone and were unable to and on top of this it appears none of our 3 emails reached you. This is very frustrating; I wonder if they got caught in your spam filter or as occasionally happens got identified as ‘junk mail’?
We use suppliers to make deliveries to our customers so we rely on information they provide as well as our own records here to piece together events; as our dates and record of events differ somewhat from yours, could I ask you to get in touch immediately and preferably by phone or email, if you disagree with any of my dates or version of events, so I can immediately investigate further. Great retailer, but appalling manufacturer service
Whitebox is a really good e-retailer, very easy to navigate and order website, fast, efficient feedback about delivery etc. Competitive prices, lots of helpful information, really easy.
Unfortunately, because we chose 'manufacturer delivery and installation', it all went downhill from there. We chose a Washer/Dryer from Indesit/Hotpoint, installation was fine and they removed the old machine for recycling. But the machine did not work properly with the clothes always coming out wringing wet. Then the phone calls to Indesit started. After endless calls and holding and being transferred between departments a repair engineer was sent who couldn't fix it. More calls, more holding, more transferring between departments and a promise of a return call to arrange a new machine. After a week, no call, more calls from me and I finally found a name and direct line number of someone who could help. Finally we have a new machine being delivered next week (not the same model as they are out of stock). If this machine does not work, then I will demand a refund from Whitebox and order a new machine from a different manufacturer.
I think Whitebox, as the retailer (with who I have the legal 'contract' of sale) should take more care about monitoring their suppliers after-sales service.

After ordering my intergrated larder fridge, received an email from Whitebox to advise that there was going to be a delay in delivery of this item, and that if I preferred, I could cancel this item, I was happy to wait , and received a phone call a few days later to confirm delivery, very pleasant member of staff, also the guys who delivered it. will use this company again

Washer Drier Delivery default
I ordered a Hotpoint washer / drier based on the expected delivery of 3 days. However this company replied promptly (within hours) that they had contacted the supplier and the delivery was not expected for 10 to 15 days. I found an alternative supplier who had stock and delivered within 5 working days (slightly cheaper as it happens) and took away the old machine for free. Whitebox promptly cancelled the order, apologised and release the money. I would suggest that if delivery is important that you verify this with the company before placing an order, although they are very quick at telling you if they cannot meet the delivery.

Totally disgusted ordered a cooker,fridge,and washing on the 6/9/15 still haven't received my washing machine which is the appliance that I needed the most as my own one packed in two weeks before I ordered these items will never buy of this site again

If we receive fair criticism we always hold-up our hands and we have no excuse for the delay getting the washing machine to you. I would just take the opportunity to say that whenever we receive an order on a Sunday, as soon as we process the order on a Monday we are back in touch straight away with news of delivery. If there is any problem getting any item we immediately advise a customer and set out the options, including alternatives, cancelling and so on. I can see we emailed you early Monday (next day) with this news. In your case we delivered 2 or the three items in good time I believe, given the delivery post code, and kept you informed about the delay in getting the washing machine. I am genuinely sorry we have let you down on the delivery of the item you needed most urgently and wish we had found a better solution earlier-on for you. Nigel - Whitebox
