Perfect balloon flight
After years of wanting to take a balloon flight I finally got my wish today — and it was everything I hoped for. Our pilot Nobby Simmons was fantastic: easy to talk to, full of knowledge, and just one of those people you instantly feel comfortable with. His ground crew were great too. The views over Bath were breathtaking, the landing was perfect, and the whole experience felt magical from start to finish. I’d absolutely recommend Nobby and his team.

Our Pilot Robert was really friendly and knowledgeable
Our Pilot Robert was really friendly, very experienced and full of flying knowledge. He was able to go into details about the development of balloon and zeppelin flying, the details of materials used here and in other countries, which I found very interesting. But if you didn't care about the little details of that, then there was a lot of interesting information for anyone else too. For example the way and direction a balloon flys depending on temperatures and and landscape. If that still wasn't anything you'd care about, then surely the following would be your thing.
It was very relaxing and quiet. Lovely to see the landscape moving below, watching the wildlife run around, and watching the sun rising.
We did have many cancellations and waited a long time to make it happen, but it was worth it.

We really enjoyed the balloon flight
We really enjoyed the balloon flight, after many cancellations due to weather conditions Saturday was the day it happened for us.
Beautiful day, an evening flight was perfect over the South Downs.
The pilot Chris was very informative of what was happening while preparing for the flight, the ground staff were really pleasant to talk too while preparing along with the balloon and were answering the groups questions of interest. It was nice taking part in helping to get the balloon ready before and after our flight. We will have nice memories.
We would recommend taking a flight with Virgin Balloons.

Balloon ride vouchers used
Was given vouchers from dear friends for a big birthday. At first I was very dubious and slightly nervous but I watched some videos on social media that showed what it was like and booked for 3 weeks ahead expecting it to be cancelled quite a few times but it wasn't. The confirmation email was very good and instructed us to call the flightline at 11pm. It was not happening at the first choice but a back up meet was used. So got up early and got there for 5.15. We were taken by mini bus to a field and had a safety talk then helped set up the balloon. What an amazing experience the pilot Tom and the ground crew were amazing and put us all at ease. We all knew exactly what was needed and what we needed to do. We were then loaded into the basket and readied for take off. I didn't know what to expect but it was beautiful. So peaceful and graceful and we just floated up and up through the clouds. Tom kept us reassured all the time, answering questions and pointing out land marks. We turned and floated up and down until eventually he chose a landing field and we drifted down and landed so smoothly. We all helped deflate the balloon and pack it all away then we had a celebratory glass of bucks fizz whilst we decided to take the photo package offered. The mini bus returned us to our vehicles and we we were on our way home. If you ever get the chance to do this experience or were lucky like me to be given vouchers. Do it its amazing. I would definitely do this again.

Awesome experience from start to finish
Apart from the cancellation of 3 trips due to weather conditions, when we got to take the trip it was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. The pilot Mike was really friendly and witty and the crew were great too. The flight itself was amazing especially the part where we went above the clouds. The photos were fabulous too.All in all I would definitely recommend

Amazing!!
We loved our balloon experience with Virgin. The booking system and information given before the flight was always precise and easy to understand. We had a few cancellations due to weather which is understandable, but were always able to easily rebook a new flight (took us around 18 months from first buying the voucher)
Once we arrived for the experience everything was well organised. We had the chance to get really hands on with getting the balloon ready and also packing it away after which was a lot of fun and really interesting. Our pilot Tom Hook was great, very professional, informative and friendly, we felt in safe hands! The flight was everything we hoped it would be, and more, I would recommend Virgin Balloon Experiences to anybody!
