Took my money, didn't tell me when exams are, they played the victim. My child lost a whole session after a lot of prep and they refuse to refund me. Do yourself a favour and find other places to write.

The staff were calm and informed. The facilities were clean and professional. They know their stuff and were able to answer questions and the portal eeps you informed well in advance.

Bellville Centre has absolutely blown us away. You are such friendly, available and generous souls. Thank you for for your passion and excellence.

The staff went above and beyond to support my daughter with complex needs access her exams, and
with such sensitivity.

Their communication was excellent and we felt supported all the way. I would highly rate them if you have a child with SEN.

Provisional exam date changed with not enough communication shared by Tutors and Exams. As a result we travelled late to the exam, which my daughter was then not allowed to sit.

Whilst I should have treble checked the online portal (which also is not good) there was zero accountability taken that they could improve the user experience and communications for an expensive paid for service.

I would NOT recommend.

Son sat Maths A Level and Biology GCSE in June 2024. We still do not have the certificates, and we are at risk of losing his university offer if we can not provide the Maths A Level certificate. Both we and the school have been trying to contact T&E, but the phone is never answered and no response to emails. We are at risk of losing his university place for this September.

We had such a horrible experience with this company, their customer service is diabolical! Just trying to book the exam was a nightmare, they couldn't get the invoice right and I emailed over and over again to try and resolve it but got no response and no one ever answered the phone. Despite the red flags I kept persevering for longer than I should have, as there are only a few exam centres near us and these were the cheapest by quite a bit. Eventually, completely exasperated, I ended up going elsewhere for my son's exams as I thought that if they can't even manage an email between them, then they definitely can't be trusted with something as important as my child's GCSEs. The other exam centre we used were a breeze in comparison, all booked and paid for within the hour, so if you have any other option of exam centres near you I strongly recommend you use those instead!

Do not delete for a second time! People should be aware of how you operate… If I could give negative I would, stay away from these, Mandy and Danielle I had most dealings with, unfortunately fraudulent business, taking money through deception, also not actually giving places to students, I asked numerous times regarding the invoice, exam dates ect to be continuously lied to as you can clearly see in the emails, my daughter has a place at college as this business we’re taking her for the GCSEs, to be told a week or so ago that she hasn’t got a place any longer, all due to their incompetence and lack of knowledge, should not be allowed to behave in this manner, please see emails! The dates are clear, also myself requesting dates and the invoice early march ! The local council, ombudsman and other platforms have been notified of this incompetence, very disappointing and disgraceful service!

Tutors and Exams Coventry were hard to contact from the start. I registered my daughter with them online in Sept 2024, clearly stating her access needs. At the Open Day in Jan 2025 they were completely unaware of her needs so I emailed afterwards and they assured me that it was all in hand. However, when we attended her mock in March, Staff had no record of her need for a laptop and she did not even have a candidate number on their list. Staff failed to apologise or deal with the mistakes, blanking us throughout, leaving me to struggle to find emails to prove they had agreed her laptop in writing. While there, we witnessed them make mistakes with multiple other candidates which was unpleasant for all the waiting candidates and added to our stress. As a result, my daughter had an ASD meltdown and we had to leave. Afterwards they tried to blame me for not informing them of her needs, then accepted I had and sent a small refund. Unknown to us, they also contacted the exam board and removed her from the exams altogether. We then found another exam centre and asked T&E to transfer her to Greene’s College Oxford. Greene’s College were the ones who discovered she had been removed from the exam altogether. Greene’s got her reinstated and then requested the transfer, but found T&E Coventry unresponsive and entirely unaware of the transfer protocol. Greene’s had to do all the work and entirely because of their efforts, the transfer was achieved at the 11th hour. Even after all this, we are still being emailed regularly by T&E Coventry with stock welcome emails thanking us for registering with them. I have asked them to remove my daughter from their system and they can't even manage to comply with this simple request. We have never received treatment like this from any other organisation and would never have taken our vulnerable child there if we had realised how disorganised, unprofessional and uncaring they were.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Tutors & Exams. After booking and paying for an exam at a specific location, they unilaterally changed the exam venue without any prior notice or consent. When I raised the issue, they refused to offer a refund, hiding behind their internal policies rather than honoring basic consumer rights. Communication was poor, and they placed unnecessary barriers instead of resolving the situation fairly. I would not recommend this service to anyone expecting professionalism, transparency, or respect for agreements. Proceed with caution.

Not received course work grade for GCSE and only a few weeks away for exam. Deadline has closed for appeals if we wasn't happy with mark?
No one answers the phone, or they answer cough and put you back on hold, or you get cut off.
E-mails get ignored there is NO customer service support if you need it.

I would NOT recommend using exams and tutors.
GCSE's are stressful time and this exam centre creates further stress.

My child is due to take exams at Mitcham soon. Organisation is absolutely terrible. Ive had to email so many times as timetables were incorrect. Despite asking repeatedly, we were told 2 days ago that my child will have the language speaking exam in two weeks. We are still waiting to be told the time! The portal is absolutely useless, I keep getting directed to look there, but nothing is ever sent! Ive called up so many times, but no-one answers despite holding for 45mins. Emails are answered by different staff who are pretty vague, then I reply and wait days for another vague response. A complete shambles! Lets hope taking the exams is a more positive experience….

I have updated my review to reflect the excellent customer service provided by Chloe from the Social Media Team who responded very quickly and enabled us to verify the dates for the exam and get a refund for the mock which is not possible.

I also didn't mention previously that the staff I met when I took my son for his other mocks were very friendly and informative, so I hope these issues with the admin team and communication are resolved as we would like to use Tutors and Exams again next year.

Generally Good Experience Undermined by Poor Communication

Our experience with Tutors and Exams has been mostly positive—my son has successfully completed three other mock exams with them without any issues. However, our recent experience with the French mock exam has been very disappointing, and I’m sharing this in the hope of receiving a response and helping others be aware.

We booked and paid for the French mock, and I took time off work to drive my son 45 minutes to the centre. When we arrived, we were told there had been an emergency at the school and the teacher needed for the speaking component was unavailable. While we understand that these things happen, the main issue has been the complete lack of follow-up.

Despite several attempts to get in touch via phone and email, we’ve received no response, and it now seems unlikely that the mock can be rescheduled before the actual exam. We are also still waiting to be given a date for the real GCSE French speaking exam, which is becoming increasingly worrying.

I am currently on hold again on the phone for 5th time so decided to write this review while waiting.

We’ve tried to remain patient and understanding, but clearer communication is vital, especially at such an important time for students. We would very much appreciate a response from Tutors and Exams so we can resolve this as soon as possible.

Tutorsandexams:

*Dont answer phones day night or weekends... Ever. They hang up on you after 45 mins.

*Ignore email requests. I had to call head office and 5 other ppl just to have something dealt with

*Staff is unaccountable. A staff member was fired and my email conversation with them was lost. Then they claimed content in the email 'didnt count' towards hBing been requested before a deadline.

*Admin is a big mess
*Wont take credit card payment so parents are unprotected
*Don't handle complaints. Can't find a complaint process on their website.
*Testing center changed locations and didn't inform customers or offer them refund if new location was inconvenient.

Getting replies from them is an impossible task. They do not answer the phone and then it just cuts off. Getting a reply to emails is a struggle too. They are creating huge amounts of anxiety over an already stressful time

If I could give 0, I would. I would sue if I had the means to do so. They lost most if not all of my extra papers! After my maths exam they lost my phone, so I broke down crying. I had to connect 'find my iphone' to the exam centre assistants phone to find it. They still couldn't, until the very last minute when they brought my phone to me that had somehow ended up in a random drawer on the top floor.

This company is completely corrupt. No responses from the Romford centre. You get through to others and they put them through, but obviously they just don't like answering their phones. I won't go into my issue here, but I need answers and I'm being ghosted. We are already anxious enough as it is. Steer clear. Also the higher ups don't want to know either until you go on social media!!!

Very poor customer service. They are fine if everything goes OK, but if there is anything out of the ordinary (currently trying to get to the bottom of a missing certificate), then they are simply woeful. Try to find a school to go through, or some other method imho.

I have been having problems with T&E for a while I have been with them for the past 3.5 years or so. But this one tops it all.

My daughter has found sitting exams at the Romford centre OK. This is her second year of sitting her international A levels. The first year was ok.

Since her October sitting, they had not been answering any phone calls. I have tried everyday every time. I tried calling other centres who have then put me through to them and they had answered.

I had requested for my daughter’s script back it took so long to get it back and this only happened after I complained on Facebook. She also got one of her papers marked as X this means either the exam centre had lost her paper or Edexcel had lost it or some technical error.

After requesting her scripts and that taking a month, I had then requested for the paper to be remarked in good time. Only weeks later after my angry email to be told it was too late to request for this. My daughter was a mark away from another grade. They keep saying they are too busy, but this is the only job they have.

Please try not to use them if you can, I have now raised this up with Edexcel and hoping they would help.

Terrible experience, first we get booked on to the wrong exam, then when my daughter took the second paper of her exam she was given the wrong paper, I agree she should have realised this sooner but she raised her hand in the middle of her exam when she realised she was given the correct paper which she then had less time to complete. When I raised this with the centre I was told it didn’t happen and the invigilator hadn’t made a report of it, after weeks of waiting for them to check if the the correct paper was sent to mark and to find out what happens if she fails the exam after the issues we have had we don’t feel we should have to pay twice when she’s not had a proper go at it we were told the situation didn’t occur and there’s nothing they can do. Additionally to calling my daughter a liar, not following procedure and covering up the mess by not contacting me back for weeks builders were outside whilst my daughter took the exam and were noisy, we were told a special consideration requests were being sent off for all members in the exam but today I was asked again if I would like this to happen so it’s never been put in place for the students who took the exam with all the background noise. This centre is corrupt!!! Not professional at all and I have asked for a full investigation into things

since my original review im still being fobbed off they are calling my daughter a liar saying the correct papers were given from the start, they can't tell me where the higher paper she filled in originally is either.... this is fraudulent activity if the paper has been handed in because the original candidate didn't do it! I have asked time and time again for things to be escalated and time and time again im getting the same response, they have checked and it didn't happen they don't seem to grasp what has actually happened because when they email me they have irrelevant remarks in there email about how originally my daughter had asked to sit a GCSE but couldn't because of her age so she did an IGCSE, we know what exam she was taking she was just given the wrong paper to fill in. I will be contacting trading standards about them. i won't be dropping it like they keep trying to do
