Honestly one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Volunteering at an animal sanctuary in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, not only was I able to find my true passion in life but I had also made life-long friends from around the world! I had shared such a beautiful bond with the other volunteers and all the animals; meerkats, servals, caracals (and many more!) that I had the pleasure of helping. Matt is so kind, incredibly accommodating and helpful. This trip had such a massive impact in my life in the most pleasant way and had helped me find my purpose. Unforgettable, I absolutely recommend Totally Travel.

10/10 So many amazing things happened within my 4 weeks with the “Big 5”. It was honestly the best 4 weeks of my life!!!! I have had so many memorable, educational and exciting experiences throughout my trip. I was always kept on my feet with exciting things happening all the time, from watching elephants fight one another, watching the cheetah mum and her cubs hunting and tracking those sneaky leopards through the wild! The staff were absolutely incredible and so welcoming! 100% recommend. Thank you so much for everything and making it so easy for this trip to be possible! Had the best time ever ! Will be doing something like this again and 100% will be going through Totally Travel again.

My husband and I have just returned from three weeks holiday in Canada which included a cruise to Alaska. Matt's attention to detail ensured that we had a very happy and stress free time. Everything was organised and paperwork was spot on. He made suggestions for our itinerary that we probably wouldn't have thought of which meant that we had experiences beyond our expectations.
We would certainly recommend Matt to anybody for a fabulous holiday.

My husband and I have used Totally Travel for many years as Matt has always provided the best holidays with English speaking guides in foreign countries and accommodation near tourist spots with easy links to transport. I would highly recommend using Totally Travel to anyone travelling overseas. Matt provides great itinerary and always asks for feedback when the trip is completed. We had no phone contact to family on one holiday but managed to contact Matt who then advised our family that we were enjoying our trip but had no phone connection for a few days. GREAT SERVICE!

10/10  I loved absolutely everything about my time at the sanctuary and everything that they represent!  If you not only love African Animals but truly care about their conservation and want to see them rehabilitated (where possible) and thrive in their natural habitats- then this is the experience for you.

Each day at the sanctuary is so different. Each day there was something new to learn, another story to hear and another way to help. From feeding some of the worlds largest and fastest carnivores to undertaking vital research to walking with baboons- it really is an experience of a life time! Everyone involved is so enthusiastic and passionate about what they do and it's impossible not to feel the same way!

Booking through Totally Travel, and especially with Matt, made this trip everything that it was. I honestly didn't worry about a thing apart form packing my bags and showing up on the day! Matt was incredible in helping me to choose the program that was right for me and answered every question I had (there was a lot!) with detail and so, so promptly! I was never left wondering or waiting- I seriously can't say how comforting this was. When I decided to extend my trip beyond the sanctuary, Matt had no hesitation in recommending a great safari tour that took me out to the Sossusvlei area- it was incredible!! Again, everything was planned and organised so perfectly! I can't thank Matt enough for his help, his honesty and his kind, down to earth nature. He was so approachable with any concerns or questions that I had and I really can't thank him enough! He is an absolute asset to your team!!

My partner and I have been organizing travel plans with Matt from Totally Travel for at least a year and a half! Matt always goes above and beyond for every question we have. He has so much knowledge and passion about the world and his job. We consider Matt a great friend, we talk to him regularly as we are on our UK work visa and travelling to as many countries as possible. We first encountered Totally Travel via facebook, an advertisement for a Volunteer program in Africa, which I can not recommend highly enough!! Amazing! Amazing!
I used Totally Travel to book my South African and Namibian sanctuary volunteer programs and I couldn’t recommend them more. They made it so easy and were great with planning and communication throughout the whole process. Matt would answer any questions that I had, and organised pretty much everything! As a solo, female traveller I felt completely safe over in Africa (Matt even kept in contact while I was over there). Africa was beautiful, the people were so friendly, the animals and opportunities were once in a life time, and I made life long friends.
I will definitely be using Totally Travel again as I plan more trips!

There are no words to describe my time in Namibia - I had the best 3 weeks of my life at the wildlife sanctuary. I never thought I would enjoy hard work in the sun so much! Haha.
All the staff were beautiful, friendly and passionate about their work, as were the other volunteers - I really did make friends for life.
Working with the animals was, simply put, an amazing experience; and as a volunteer you really do see the effects of the work you put in. The sanctuary has an incredible ethos and does some wonderful work to reduce the conflict between humans and wildlife.
I didn’t want to leave when it was time to come home.
For this incredible experience I have Matt and the totally travel team to thank. Their support and help in planning this trip was amazing, he answered any questions I had no matter how small. I really do hope that I can go back one day and I wouldn’t go through anyone other than totally travel

I was quite nervous when it came to the idea of solo travel, But will totally travel everything ran smoothly and i was at ease. I had guidance the whole way leading up to my departure and all my questions were answered professionally and promptly. If i had more time id definitely be booking another trip. !!

I loved the immersive experience, being out in rural areas, speaking with locals, traveling around! The accommodation was basic but well suited to the experience. Loved it. I didn't have to worry about anything!

10/10 The whole experience was incredible, it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I most enjoyed how hands on it was. I was worried that we would not get to spend much time actually enjoying the animals and that it would mostly be done from a distance but it was incredible how much we got to do with the animals. The accommodation was much more than we expected, my friend and I were lucky to be in the new tent areas and we had a really good experience.

10/10 My time at the elephant sanctuary will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you Totally Travel for the wonderful experience and helping me create good memories. I enjoyed the elephants mostly, obviously ! They are so gentle and wise. The people who run/work at the sanctuary were just so generous, kind and considerate. I made some great friends with others who were also doing the program. The accommodation was great - who else gets to wake up to elephants walking past their windows!?

This was such an incredible experience and opportunity to help the wildlife of Namibia! I am so happy I have this trip to look back on forever.
I was terrified to travel alone as a young female and for the first time. But Matt completely assured me I’d be completely fine (which I was) and he answered every question I had no matter how trivial or complex.
I’m so happy I went through you guys! This was the best thing I’ve done in my life.
The sanctuary was just as I had hoped it would be, animals everywhere!! even donkeys are wondering around and greeting you in the morning meetings. The staff were so passionate about each and every animal and so happy to answer all questions and educate people. They really love their job and every day is special to them and the volunteers as something different and exciting happens all the time. I mean, one of your duties is to take cheetahs for a walk!??
If you want to hang out with wildlife and truly help them with the conversation efforts they put into the country. Then book your Namibian Wildlife sanctuary now!! I promise you won’t regret it and you’ll be as emotional as I was when it was time to leave 😢

A M A Z I NG!!!

Had an absolutely amazing trip to Namibia volunteering at Naankuse. It was a very well rounded trip, involved with feeding, enriching and caring for the animals on the sanctuary and with ongoing monitoring and research projects in the Zannier Reserve.
Totally Travel helped make all this possible and there was great communication from the start and all the through. There was never any real issues, being picked up straight from the airport, to the sanctuary and back when it was sadly time to go. This trip was honestly the highlight of my life and anyone with some compassion for animals or a kindling for travel and experiences that will change your life, this is the place for you.

Totally travelled organised my 5 month teaching internship in China. The internship itself can be difficult at times (teaching 50 plus kids who speak very little English), it is definitely rewarding. Matt was extremely helpful and answered all my questions prior to leaving and checked in with me whilst I was in china numerous times. Totally travel are very organised and professional company and I would highly recommend using them for your next trip.

10/10 I loved every second of my volunteering including the cultural challenges. The volunteers I worked with were brilliant, the local team was excellent and the accommodation in Saligao was very nice. I felt as though I made a real difference to the projects I worked on plus I learned so much from the experience.

10/10 This Big 5 Research Safari trip was amazing, it exceeded all my expectations. It was more than just a volunteer program, the education we got and the experiences was priceless. It was very hands on. Would recommend to anyone wanting to experience The Big 5.

Oh my gosh! This trip was the biggest highlight of my whole year and the grandest way I could ever dream to finish high school! Every moment of this trip was enjoyable, from meeting the children and tuk tuk drivers right till the moment I left. I have never felt so welcomed and involved with any group of people ever! I cannot express how amazing this trip was and I can’t wait to do another trip there soon. The school itself was lovely, and the children were so beautiful. I adored getting the opportunity to help them all out in that small way.
