Many of our bare-root perennial plants spend their first growing season establishing strong root systems underground and may not produce visible top growth until the **following spring**. the fuyu persimmons never grew, no leaves. Pawpaw is growing nicely. So only half my order seems to be alive. Shipping took forever also. I doubt I would place another order. The communication was fair to poor. and when I requested an update, it felt pretty condescending.

Fuyu Persimmons are among the last fruit trees to break dormancy and leaf out, and it's not uncommon for them to emerge well after other plants. For some reason the only plant that survived was one! I ordered two and you sent three but two of them were dead they're still in the ground trying to grow them but no leaves just one plant got leaves

I ordered 4 Kousa Dogwoods and 2 Red Hybiscus and none of them are producing any signs of life. The look just like the way I received them. Not a good experience.

Bare-root plants are intentionally packed in moist paper to help retain moisture during transit, so damp packaging is normal. Many dormant roots also have an earthy smell that can be mistaken for decay, but it does not necessarily indicate the plants are unhealthy.
