Avoid – Appalling Service After Completing My IVA

I am extremely disappointed with The Insolvency Group and the way my IVA has been handled.

I entered into a five-year IVA agreement in October 2020 and successfully completed every required payment, making my final payment in October 2025.

Despite honouring my agreement in full, my IVA has still not been formally closed.

The company has repeatedly extended the closure date, most recently until April 2027. This means I could be waiting approximately 18 months after making my final payment for my IVA to be officially completed.

Meanwhile, my name remains on the public Insolvency Register, preventing me from fully moving forward financially.

I submitted a formal complaint, which was acknowledged. I was promised an update within five working days and told I would be informed if additional time was required.

It is now EXCEEDED THAT TIME FRAME, and I have received neither an update nor an explanation for the delay.

The irony of submitting a complaint about unacceptable delays and poor communication, only to experience further delays and poor communication from their complaints department, is astonishing.

I fulfilled my financial obligations over five years. I believe it is reasonable to expect the company administering my IVA to demonstrate the same level of commitment and professionalism.

I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look beyond the initial setup process and ask how efficiently they deal with closing an IVA once all payments have been completed.

Wish i took the advice from others before signing up with these. PLEASE TRUST ME!!!!
