StockTwits is a social board that is categorized by stock ticker symbols of publicly traded companies on US indexes. You can post comments, photos, or a .gif from their collection. Unfortunately my experience on this site was totally negative. Once I actually registered and verified my email I set up the stocks I traded and immediately noticed that on most ticker boards there were more political comments than bots pumping worthless tickers. After an hour I decided to post a comment on one of my stocks. Immediately after pushing the “post” button I was sent to login screen. Upon logging in with my hour old login/pw I was informed that my account had been suspended. This was followed by an email announcement that my account was suspended. I replied with a verbal 🤷🏻‍♂️ and was informed that I was locked down due to their algorithm. They then sent an email saying reinstated. Was able to log back in but was scared to try and reply again for nearly a month. I just read the boards & replies. Was immediately obvious to me that there were quite a few accounts that were leaning way left that were replying to seemingly normal posts about the stocks. I’m off this site and won’t ever view anything there again. It appears to me that the same admin board that operates at Twitter was in charge in this site. Obscene posts and replies were never given even a temporary ban, however nearly anything right leaning posted by anyone ( especially anyone that self identified as Republican or pro-Trump) had a heavy hammer of bans and kicks 🦵. If you have a foul mouth (regardless of your writing/spelling acumen) and your political views lean left, you may well enjoy this site. If you are an average American citizen, you will end up compelled to write a review regarding your negative experience on StockTwits.

They are frauds and are working with third parties to gather sentiment and trade against you, while also creating false propaganda to make you either buy or sell. Stay away from this website at all costs.

Don't use Stocktwits for your stock investment advice. Stocktwits is a hotbed for pumping of OTC stocks. Organized groups of pumpers use is as their propaganda wall to mass post false and misleading info promoting stocks of choice. When two or more people report the post, it gets removed and poster account gets suspended on bogus charges. Naturally, all organized pumpers mass report all bearish posts interfering with their pumping business and get them removed, in turn helping to promote their stocks of choice.

But Stocktwits is well aware of this mechanics. For $$$ reasons, Stocktwits support and management sides with larger groups by stating, and I quote here from Tommy Tranfo, Stocktwits community manager:

"I see that our support has sent multiple emails to your accounts that have been suspended. I can see that from looking at the messages that led to your accounts being suspended that they were violations of our hose rules.

Streams are not places for people to antagonize the other side of the trade. It seems to us that that is the priority of your account and we are not comfortable permitting accounts back on our site who care to engage in that kind of activity.

I see that the most recent suspension specifically cited 'false rumors' and I understand that you feel like we got that wrong. However, the intent of the post from our perspective was negative in nature and that is the element we are addressing."

So no matter that I was trying to warn people and counter pumpers with facts, no matter that my posts were truthful and supported by links to sources of info on support of my views!

Stocktwits still proceeded with deletion of my posts and outright banned my account on bogus charges. You won't get a fair treatment from them. Stocktwits company makes money from high pumper activity, and therefore they are highly biased. Only pumpers get a free reign there.
IMO, and unless their action and policies change, this is a highly shady company deserving an investigation by SEC.

Stocktwits and it’s customer service is complete garbage. Pretty sure they operate out of their mom’s basement. The amount of triggered liberal snowflake babies is hilarious and Stocktwits defends these f*cktards.

If you would like to read aggressive angry posts from people who do not understand the market at all, this site is for you. Childish rants of the uneducated.

It's f* garbage. They randomly suspend normal people's accounts who adhere to the rules, but they let bot accounts constantly post trash advertisement all over.

Ridiculous.

Having a following and being valued from many other stock twitters I find that I am banned for the 2nd time in 24hrs!

After my first appeal I made sure that I don't state anything that is against house rules (even though I was absolutely certain I had not breached rules) and agreed to be careful.

The recent ban believe it or not was because a few decided to get together and click the report option to get me banned again with verbal abuse also simply for having Palestinian roots!

What a nasty lot and what makes it worse is stocktwits banned me and yet those verbally abusing are still ticking away.

What a joke of a platform.
Stick to Twitter where you don't get any of this crap.

This is absolutly insane.

Without any warning the platform banned me. For absolutly 0 reason.

I was absolutly delightfull to discover this "Twitter-finance" platform. I didn't spam. I wasn't a jerk. In fact : it's my first ban IN MY WHOLE LIFE.

I even had 150 likes in two days using this platform with 25 twits. I have never been so delighted to use a social netowrk, especially under this theme.

Then... BAN. And there is absolutly ZERO reason to this.

So be carefull when you're using it, because tomorrow, you'll get a ban, without any reason.

This service is very bad in customer support. I want to cancel my subscription, but the customer service is not responding on e mails.

So I had to stop my Credit card not beiing debited any more.
Really dreadful service

Nice idea but they allow trolls and don't do anything about them.

I understand people can say what they want but they let the trolls that do nothing but make accounts and sit and post lies, nasty comments and abuse all day long!
Some trolls make accounts and post bearish comments for hours every day with nasty comments and utter lies and nothing is ever done, not talking bearish like a regular bear would post, but lies, abuse and horrible comments.

They need to sort out or add mods.

As feature request, would be nice to have UK stocks too!

Interface needs a polish, fun platform about investing.

Called out a scammer on a subreddit and got banned.

Be really careful on this platform.

I love stocktwits since the very beginning! It's one of my favorite stock market sites. Here you can learn from pro, and, in addition to the money, you can make new friends, with the same stock market passion. This site represents the future of the market. 10 out 10!
