Vegan Friendly Splosh is vegan-friendly, septic tank safe and we NEVER test our products or ingredients on animals. All Natural Our products are as natural as we can make them, so they’re kind to the environment and gentle on your skin. Great Value Splosh is great value because we cut out the middleman and deliver direct to you from our base in Wales. Strong Design Splosh bottles have printed designs and are very strong - so they should last for many years. Our mission here at Splosh is to find innovative ways to protect the planet – to find better ways of living and being. And if we’re going to preserve our beautiful world for future generations, we need to act fast. But supermarkets and big soap brands aren’t moving swiftly enough. Almost all their home and personal care products are still packaged in single use plastic bottles. It’s madness! Splosh is different. Every bottle we sell is refillable with our concentrated refill pouches, which means that you – our discerning customers – cut out plastic waste. And if you return your used refill pouches to us, we upcycle them into new products. And that means zero plastic waste, which is a huge win for the planet. The Splosh Ethos We want the very best for our customers and the planet. That's why we tore up the rule book and created a new business model. Raw materials arrive at one end of the Splosh factory and Royal Mail collect finished goods from the other. It makes us incredibly efficient – there’s no middleman, minimal waste and no excess transport – so we’re often better value than supermarkets and Big Soap brands. We don’t believe in plastic waste. With a little out-of-the-box thinking it can be turned into a valuable resource (after all plastic is a very efficient packaging material and in many ways is superior to cardboard). By applying “circular economy” principles we gladly take back used refill pouches (postage is usually free) and either re-use them or reprocess them into new, higher value products. That’s the big innovation – by closing the loop, plastic can be upcycled as a valuable resource that’s crazy to throw away. We’ve made the lifecycle of plastics as round as possible. Our bottles are designed for re-use again and again. Our pouches significantly cut plastic waste and CO2 emissions are reduced by around 75% (they contain concentrates and stack easily for distribution). Pouches also compress in size when returned, so minimising CO2 emissions (bottles stay bulky when sent for recycling). No polymer is wasted in refilling or reprocessing. Our raw materials are sourced from the UK where possible. Our factory is based in Newtown in the heart of Wales. We are a small team and we’re proud to be doing our best to make the world a better place. And if we can't find what we need locally, we never source further than mainland Europe.

Everything arrived quickly and well packaged as usual. I particularly like the fact that all the packaging is recyclable as well. Washing up liquid and washing powder of course great

I’ve used splash for years but now everything seems to be out of stock and on explanations so I’m very tempted to look elsewhere. I’ve already had to get dishwasher tablets from someone else. Just no longer reliable and it always used to be brilliant!

Not what it was.
Been using Splosh for years great concept, loved everything about, affordable if a bit more than standard supermarket stuff but worth it for the whole ethos.
Unfortunately just like many other reviews, now products are continuously out of stock, so frustrating when the whole process used to work so well.
I always found Splosh to be a very honest and helpful company but now no one seems to be able to tell us what's actually going on.
Very frustrating when it was so great, I always wonder if it got too big too quickly? I understand it's not easy in a competitive market, but so many loyal customers have been let down.
A couple of years ago that would have been 5 stars.

I have been a customer for a number of years and to begin with I was really happy with the service. But my subscription washing up liquid is constantly out of stock. There is no point having a subscription for it to be out of stock, the whole point of a subscription is you don’t run out. I have just had to get some refills from another company and I’ll see what these are like

Antwort von Splosh

I'd have done 5 stars but my subscription order has been out of stock for almost a year now so I am finished. shame as I liked the product

Gutted. Used to be great. Great concept and good products. Super happy to reduce my plastic use.
The website overhaul and subscription reset a year or so ago was a mess but I persevered.
Now nothing is ever in stock. There is no point in a subscription service if the products don't turn up. It's harder to manage than just shopping normally.
Have waited 6 months or so to see if it improves but more products have now gone out of stock so I'm done. All subscriptions cancelled today. What a shame after 4+ years.

Good idea, but not enough in stock..
Long time splosh customer, and I am being generous with my review as I really do laud them for creating a circular system that reduces plastic usage.
The good: You buy their bottles, either individually or as part of a 'starter pack', and when they run out, you order refills. Typically each pouch gives you a number of refills (6 for handwash) and the prices are quite reasonable for an ethical product (no animal testing, more eco-friendly), and when I lived in a flat, the letterbox friendly packages really helped.
The less good: occasional problems with refilling. The concentrate for the washing up liquid has occasionally produced gloopy, unusable washing up liquid, where despite following instructions, a rather solid lump has not mixed with the hot water effectively. On the occasions that I complained, I was sent replacements.
Some reviewers mention Splosh making the pouch returns process less easy, needing 20+ pouches, not 8 as was. This isn't the end of the world, but could deter customers. Also, multiple refills in an order are now bundled together in a box since switching from Royal Mail to Evri, so those who liked the letterbox-friendly packages will be disappointed.
Finally, plastic is still part of the process. The plastic from the pouches do apparently go towards making other products, but this is not an infinite process, and articles such as one in the guardian have reported on the scattering of microplastics that occurs as a result of successful plastic recycling. Splosh may wish to research sending dissolving concentrates and phasing out all plastic. But their method is far better than buying supermarket products with single-use plastic packaging.
The unfortunate: I don't know the exact reasons for this (but brexit could be a factor) but the availability of refills now appears to be a significant problem for Splosh. So far I've been able to get refills for the household products I use, but I've had to more of less give up on their bath/shower products which seem to be continually out of stock. A shame as this was a great addition to their range. I've started to see the dreaded 'sold out' signs on greater range of refills now and wonder when I use up my pouches whether I can rely on Splosh in the future. I haven't wanted to mark the company down too harshly for this, because being a small business in a post-brexit environment is very tough right now. But essentially I've had to get personal care refills from Faith in Nature. I hope they can get through these issues, and I would advise lobbying their MP/ministers in government if they haven't already.

Great products but can't buy them now.
I love the Splosh products and company ethos so am willing to pay extra for them.
However, it's pointless being a Splosh customer when you can't get hold of the goods you need so ... sadly ... I'm having to go elsewhere.
I hope they resolve their supply chain problems soon in which event I may return, depending on how happy I am with alternative suppliers.

Major supply chain issues
A great concept with great products and range, however major issues with their supply chain! Each time I look on, a handful of products are in stock. We've still got some refill pouches to use but are moving to a competitor.

A sad decline in convenience & availability.
Really disappointed with how Splosh seems to have just got worse over time. When I first signed up with them 5+ years ago, I was totally bought-in to the concept and products. Great products, reducing plastic waste, with free & easy postage to return refill pouches, 8 at a time in the original boxes, popped into a standard post-box. I subscribed to a variety of their dish, laundry and household cleaning products. A bit more expensive than you would pay in the supermarket, but the convenience and 'doing the right thing' sort of made up for that. Then they changed their pouch return system... No longer the easy 8 pouches in an original box, but you had to save 20, package them in some other box/container and then go to the post-office to send them, at this point the convenience I'm paying a premium for has gone. Then in an unbelievable move, they 'updated' their website and cancelled everybody's product subscriptions in the process, it was then on the customer to sign back up and set up all of their subscriptions again, this at a time when 'cost of living' was starting to pinch and their premium-priced products were something of a luxury. I personally (and imagine many others also) just didn't re-subscribe at that point. In the past year, I have considered returning to them - seeing occasional social media ads pop up. But having browsed their website a couple of times with a view to re-subscribing to some of their products, it now seems that at least three quarters of their products are permanently listed as out-of-stock. I also noticed that they've made their pouch return process even more of a hassle, where you have to photograph and send them a picture of your 20 empty pouches before they'll even provide you a returns label! A real shame, as they seemed to have a great concept at the beginning.

Disappointing after years of a great service
Like others have said, we have been with Splosh for many years and always been very responsive however in recent months we haven’t been getting our subscriptions for laundry and cleaning products. I have contacted Splosh with no avail. Having to resort to looking at alternative suppliers and not using Splosh.

Antwort von Splosh
Great products but impossible to get hold of.
I’ve been using Splosh for years and until fairly recently it was a really easy process. The products are really good quality but they are now constantly sold out. I’ve been trying for months to get most of my refills. So disappointed that they don’t seem to be able to get a grip of their supply chain. There’s a lot of competition out there and Splosh are ultimately going to lose out. They’ve certainly lost this customer.
