From the date of ordering to the installation of our Summer house.
The installation was carried out by Jira and Chris. They were very pleasant guys and extremely professional. Extremely pleased and happy with the experience.

The finish isn't as good as expected for the price. Timber cut from the inside leaving the spelched timber showing on the outside. I paid extra for 22m oval timber and the door came with standard flat tongue and groove. I didn't want windows and it came with two windows, one window is silconed on the inside the other isn't. There is loads of clear silicone all over the windows and framework on the outside so that's going to need a lot of work to remove this prior to painting as the paint won't key to the silicone.

Excellent company that look after you from initial visit to view the sheds to final delivery and erection.

Great service from Gerry at Newbank Garden centre. We chose a 10x8 Summerhouse and a few weeks later when we had prepared the ground the installation team arrived 1st thing on the agreed date and installed the unit with no surprises or issues. 2 great lads with a professional and customer focused approach. 2 hours later our summerhouse is now built and ready for us to enjoy. Excellent experience from start to finish with Paul from solid sheds at Avant coming round on the same day to do a site visit and discuss options. And just a few days later, we have a fabulous 5x8 shed- a size we hadn’t realised could be chosen- and swiftly installed by Jiri and Charlie. Outstanding.

We have just had our second Solid shed product built, we have had a large shed for about 8 years and have just had a garden room built, both are fantastic products, well built and great value for money. They guys that put up my shed were extremely professional. Jeri 'Czech shed Wizard' was exceptionally professional and they were so fast. They asked me how I'd like the shelving and were cerry obliging. What a great experience. They restored my trust in humanity.

Anyone looking at purchasing a shed from this company, should seriously look at alternatives. I have had a shed installed in October. Which was leaking. After a battle, I have eventually had the side and roof replaced. Now just one month later the felt has come off the roof. However Solid sheds just state that due to high winds they will Not help any further! And would incur a cost to repair the damage. Bear in mind the roof was installed only a month earlier and regardless of wind you would
Like to think any company worth their salt would try to rectify, not attempt to make more profit out of a shoddy job in the

Please reconsider spending your money with this firm.they are not worthy of your hard earned cash! They were good 10 years ago when I first bought a shed from them. I am really pleased with the quality of my new shed. The guys were very quick and efficient at erecting it, no corners were cut, everything is solid and it looks really good.

Good help and advice when picking the shed. Yesterday two guys took down the old one, removed the rubbish and put up a new one. Fast, efficient and friendly service.

From dealings with Ray at High Legh garden centre through to delivery and installment of the summerhouse by Jiri and Chris, it's been great customer service and quality. Really chuffed with the end result and you could see Jiri and Chris had worked together for some time. We did a lot of research and for price in relation to quality Solid Sheds came out top and they haven't disappointed.

I'm writing this today, not because I have to, but because I want to! I've never felt the urge to pen a letter of appreciation, but here I am, quill in hand (well, keyboard at fingertips), ready to sing your praises from the rooftops—or should I say, from the top of my splendid new shed!
Mel (High Legh Garden Centre) deserves special mention; he is far more than a salesman, but a true shed whisperer with the charm of a seasoned storyteller, the Gandalf of garden structures, he is a true ambassador for Solid Sheds.
His visit to our property with wisdom and a tape measure to ensure suitability for a 10 x 6 pent shed was above and beyond our expectations, making us feel completely at ease with our decision.
Then there's your installation team—arriving on a Friday afternoon, no less!
They were the height of professionalism, even when faced with unexpected challenges their courteous demeanor and efficient problem-solving demonstrates a high level of customer care. It's impressive how they managed the situation by advising on the necessary additional work in simple terms (just what I needed) before unloading and artfully arranging the unassembled shed pieces with the precision of Tetris champions until their return visit.
After receiving your telephone call on the following Monday morning with a revised date, we set too in adjusting the area as advised, then as the sun peeked above the horizon on round two your team were here, tools in hand, and coffee provided they were ready to go.
In what felt like the blink of an eye, the pieces were aligned, and the shed now stands proud in our garden.
It's not just a shed; it's a fortress of solitude, a haven of storage and a palace of power tools.
Please extend my heartfelt thanks to Mel and the team, and rest assured, I'll be recommending Solid Sheds to anyone who'll listen—and even to those who won't!

We had a summer house which was installed yesterday. Steve and Alan we fab, fast efficient and worked in the pouring down rain which was relentless yesterday. Lovely blokes and very hard working.
The shed seems solid and well made and hopefully will dry out well and be the perfect addition to our garden

From first to last contact everyone was helpful and professional. The shed is brilliant and the two chaps who put it up never stopped until it was done.
They were polite and cleared up any mess, which is always a good indicator.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Solid Sheds, based in Skelmersdale, after visiting their Newton-le-Willows site to inquire about a workshop I was interested in. Despite being drawn in by their extensive collection, the customer service was poor from the outset. I spoke to a staff member named Gerry, who seemed uninterested in helping me. He mentioned that another customer might be interested in the shed I wanted but made no effort to follow up with that person to confirm their commitment. As it turns out, they were actually interested in a larger shed, meaning I could have secured the one I wanted, had Gerry bothered to check.

Additionally, Gerry misinformed me about the shed’s customizability. He claimed that, for a £40 configuration charge, I could place the door wherever I wanted. However, after speaking to Gary at another store, I found out this wasn’t true.

Frustrated, I reached out to other Solid Sheds locations and eventually connected with Teresa at the Bury store, who informed me a 12x8 workshop was available. However, when I drove to the store to see the shed in person, I couldn’t find it, and Gary dismissed my claim, stating Teresa didn’t work at that location. He was quick to push me toward a new, more expensive shed, showing no regard for my original inquiry.

While some offers were mentioned during my visit, including £100 off and a free tin of paint, my experience soured after further questions about the shed’s rubber roof warranty. Despite being assured the 20-year warranty covered repairs, I later found out from the manufacturer that only the materials were covered, not the labor costs, leaving me with an essentially useless guarantee. When I raised this with Teresa, she was dismissive and showed little interest in resolving the issue.

The most shocking part of my experience came when I inquired about the possibility of honoring the £100 discount on the £4,000 shed I had initially signed up for. Teresa bluntly informed me that their company “makes over a million pounds a year” and would not honour the discount given be “fine losing a sale over £100”. This level of indifference toward customers is outrageous, especially after being misled multiple times by various staff members.

At no point during this process did I proceed with the sale. If the staff—who are on commission—treat customers with such disrespect, misleading them and lying to them before the purchase, I can only imagine how bad the service would be after you’ve handed over your money and completed the sale. I would advise extreme caution if considering buying from this company.
