Smartcare rewards is a SCAM
I have 238.20 in my rewards account but this can not be used to actually buy a replacement appliance I picked a oven worth 220 but they still wanted 157 for it after using my 238.20, it generated a discount not happy and very misleading, don't bother with smartcare rewards
Replaced my IKEA dishwasher which was…
Replaced my IKEA dishwasher which was covered by 5 year manufacture’s guarantee with a dishwasher made by Whirlpool. Worst mistake ever. Somehow was directed to SmartCare rewards. Upfront I payed £127 for extended cover. Did not realise this was Domestic & General in another guise. The SmartCash was £147 so when the WHIRLPOOL dishwasher FAILED 3 years later it was a struggle to get this faulty item replaced. Due to SMARTCARE which is sold by HOTPOINT on behalf of Domestic and General for which they receive a fee you may think how caring until you realise that you have to pay a premium. SMARTCARE is in my opinion is misleading. I will never consider purchasing another product within the WHIRLPOOL range of brands including HOTPOINT. Look carefully at the T&C’s on Domestic & General policy provided as the amount of cover would not cover a call out charge. BEWARE.
I have been with domestic and general…
I have been with domestic and general for twenty or more years and they have been fantastic if i have a problem with my washing machine its sorted and fixed within days and i haven't got to worry about paying someone to fix it, and on top of that i get smartcare rewards which is a bonus I don't pay for them it's a free additional to the insurance you get with D&G , I can't understand why everyone is putting them down the products at smartcare rewards are all good products and you can choose to use 50% of your rewards which halves the price. i have saved up £1200 rewards and will enjoy spending them knowing i got them as a bonus to my insurance
This reward scheme is not worth the…
This reward scheme is not worth the paper it is written on. I had several policies with D&G insurance over a six-year period.
I cancelled the policies as I had sold the house with the integrated products in it. I was told prior to cancelling the insurance that my rewards were protected and on moving a few days later I could access the reward scheme to buy another whirlpool product. Now I want to buy but now being told as I have cancelled I cannot access the rewards and they are lost. This scheme stinks. My advice does not to take out insurance with D&G and put that money in a bank account and save it for a new item when needed. This is what I am going to do from now on.
Ongoing complaint with them (SmartCare)…
Ongoing complaint with them (SmartCare and Domestic & General/Repair Manufacturers). Just rubbish. 👎
#NotSmart nor do they care 😑
Date of experience is actually ongoing.
I bought a microwave 23/4/22
I bought a microwave 23/4/22, it was not installed till July, it has been used 3 times and is not working. I want a replacement not a repair. Can’t get any satisfaction from hotpoint, smartcare rewards, customer services, online chats or guarantee team.
Is that too much too goid
Hey
Well I haven't bought anything from them as yet but I have been able to login with no issues and change some account details. Further to the few scathing reviews and the now deleted forum discussion on money saving expert from 2017 and from another site 2020 have been deleted over on capterra they have a 4.7/4.9 and I have also done some price comparison against curry's and AO and they are both selling the exact same appliance and the price before any rewards points and I only one other seller who listed this particular appliance with a reduction of £60. I am having a bit of a hard time with the Brands that are collaborating on this scheme Domestic and General Indesit and whirlpool and hotpoint products that under the counter dirty dealings are afoot. Don't get me wrong it's been done before. At first when I saw the prices I immediately put the assumption wagon on full alert as I thought damn these retail prices are inflated as I only want to spend around £150 on a freezer for me and the dog she has her fresh meat I have mine and I have only looked and compared two chest freezers against other stockists one for
£263.00
OS1A200H21
Indesit OS 1A 200 H2 1 Chest Freezer - White
Buyers contribution after rewards £185.00
Indesit retail cost £232.00 price comparison with appliances direct is on sale for £188.00 saving of £50
I55ZM1110S1
Indesit I55ZM 1110 S 1 Freezer - Silver
Buyer after rewards applied pays £134.00
And that's just two products the silver is kind of the size we actually need but I have considered the other larger freezer with the increased capacity of 70litres adding an extra £50.
The only thing that I intend to check is the my rights to being refunded should it all go out of shape and it can't be worse than my experience with a third party appliance seller on amazon magnificently screwing up my entire freezer order and amazon surprisingly were absolutely on point and sent an email demanding the seller cough up my refund and amazon is a very good pick n mix in customer service I have brilliant experiences and ones that make my blood boil.
But these companies are all bound by the consumer rights acts. For me if the digital reward points are genuine £££ and crippled crypto currency I would definitely go with the larger freezer
Remember people your paying for a Brand name and not how it's manufactured as an unbranded version of the comparisons I did are closer to the price after them rewards are applied but I could not afford to pay £300 for a freezer.
There is an option for recycling and collection as well as they will connect the appliance at your end both are in the checkout section recycling £18.00 and connected £8.00 so maybe the disabled guy missed it or its been added recently. Dunno but it is there for the two who have trouble with the login I got a text with a link from whirlpool with plan ID at the login it asks for an email or the plan ID unless you have registered your email you have to use the plan ID and postcode not sure if there's an alternative option if you don't have the plan code and login was smooth from there you can register with email and set password and login should they say be quicker I can't comment for the customer service as I haven't used it yet.
I only accidently discovered all this after a site claiming to be genuine Indesit service engineers would only answer my query and connect me to the genuine engineer if I gave them my card and paid a refundable £1 to them and I left not before reporting them via my browser and then I found the real Indesit service and repairs and to me the whole sounds to good to be true my cover is for 12 month's and I pay £20 per month repair booked for the 18.05.2022 and then they mentioned the rewards scheme and I thought its gonna be like Google pay rewards scheme or Microsoft or tesco or Sainsburys where in order to get something you have to have spent the entire pension funds. And I am still waiting for the catch my rewards for the entire year are available to me now and I haven't paid anything to Indesit yet and the insurance coverage side I get because I have experienced being insured and your TV breaks and its replaced but the rewards all upfront and its what it says in whirlpool terms
Anyway kids if you got this thanks for taking the time to read me
Much from myself and Jazz the dog stay safe healthy and enjoy your summers
DISABLED BEWARE of the small print
DISABLED BEWARE of the small print
My hotpoint washing machine gave up the ghost, being disabled I selected smartcare to renew thinking they would remove old and connect new, I placed the order but there was no way to add remove replace and assumed it was included, this was clear when I received the confirmation, the on site information goes in circles to say the will not help and make it impossible to cancel the order, I would of paid for the the removal if it was possible, I will try to contact them on monday to cancel the entire orrder and get my money back my advice is Disabled avoid this company as plague

Have messaged smart care rewards to log into my account which they said takes 14days to connect and to verify my account. I have waited over 14 days I still coul not access my account. I spoke to customer services live chat to be cut off by a person called Sophie before giving me the time to type my details in and then when I reconnected to speak to another member of the live chat named Sarah she had nothing but attitude perhaps they need more training on how to treat customers
Scam Don't be fooled
Scam. Heavily inflate prices then you can use rewards to bring down to regular price! For example Whirlpool fridge: in Stainless Steel - SW8 1Q XR UK.2 £601 on Smartcare website £435 on ao.com and Marks electrical

Ordered a microwave on 29/12/21 to this…
Ordered a microwave on 29/12/21 to this date 18/1/22 my order has not arrived after 4 phone calls numerous emails to bother the delivery team and so called customer care I’ve been given no definitive answers, I’m now told the item is out of stock and can not be given a time when it will be in stock no offer of a like for like alternative I do not want a refund which was FINALLY offered as I need the item the online chat I’ve had shows no consideration or customer care qualities it would be courteous to provide an alternative in stock item the service is so bad and will be the last time I order. Be aware of the above before placing any orders as customer service is very unhelpful.
HOTPOINT cooker both Ovens not working
We bought a HOTPOINT cooker as our old cooker only had the hob and top oven working. It was bought for the Christmas meal, but the hob worked but both Ovens did not, also the grill did not work either. The timer did not come in when powered up. I also found there was movement on the left side of the hob and the right bottom corner at the back of the cooker is slightly bent. I am beginning to think this "NEW COOKER" has been a return, if it is new do they actually test them at the manufacturing site, seems not. This cooker was not fit for purpose. We ended with a salad for Christmas Dinner instead of our turkey, first time in 38 years. I will send it back I don't intend getting it repaired. As I said before NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.

All my kitchen appliances are…
All my kitchen appliances are Hotpoint.each purchase has had money off through the scheme i have saved around 700 pounds.
I don't understand why people are negative.i can only think they are looking at cheaper items. my washing machine could be purchased through my rewards currently at £280.. it is in currys currently at £579😲 how is that not saving?? If used wisely the rewards are good and an excellent scheme i am very happy and recommend.
I don't understand the negative…
I don't understand the negative comments. We got £200 off a £500 very large frost free freezer. Delivered within three days, unpacked and placed by courteous driver.
Less than half the price of anything I could find locally or on the internet.
SMARTCAREREWARDS!!!
I have £1043 in rewards Brilliant you would think needed a microwave check on there web site well elevated prices its not a reward but a good rip off to the consumer they should amend this or OR REMOVE THIS SCHEME
Rip off!!!
0 stars
£1403 in rewards but could I spend them, yes if I wanted to be ripped off with elevated prices supposedly discounted . Price checked & you can buy cheaper. To the person who gave a good review & stated they saved £800, "after researching" You didn't do a good job. You got totally ripped off.
