website live chat not working for weeks nor the contact form. Ive emailed several times to the email address without reply. website says availability of a particular wine but i know it was previously sold out and everywhere else has sold out too so very sceptical they have it. Simply Wines Direct if you read this please contact me! i dont like leaving bad reviews but this company leaves me no choice.

Wine not as advertised. Sold as 2014/15 vintage; 2019 was what arrived. Delivery time reasonable but I’d have ordered the 2015 elsewhere if I’d known.

Communication good, the company emailed several times to update me on the order progress, not a problem. Then it went out to their courier Parcelforce. Useless. They text to say it will be delivered on a day, it doesn't arrive, despite taking time off to ensure someone available to take delivery. Next day, still sitting there, receive a text from Parcelforce to say "attempted delivery". I was sitting in my home with the front door open!!!!!! The company needs to bite the bullet and sack the courier service, damaging reputations all across the land...

No wine and no communication from this outfit for 10 weeks

Ordered a case of red wine and a bottle of champagne, received email immediately. Then nothing for 3 weeks. Web form does not work so emailed them. Did get a reply saying it was shipping the next day but managed to cancel the order and not pay.

Don't use.

Sold items not in stock. Didn't refund for the items not delivered (as not in stock). Lost £60 GBP despite multiple emails sent to them. Will never purchase again and advise you to do the same

Avoid, avoid, avoid. Selling items they don’t have in stock, with no communication and no updates for months.

Placed order but zero update despite many messages left and chasing emails. Please issue refund for the wines as clearly the order is not going to be delivered anytime soon!

Appalling. Would give zero stars if I could. Received poor quality wine and when I contacted them to arrange return and refund they told me there was a 20% restocking fee, which is hidden in their T&Cs but not mentioned in their FAQs on return policies. Customer service have been rude and obstructive. Do not use this website.

4/4/22 (1500) Ordered bottle of Norwegian Aquavit.
5/4/22 (1411) Received text from ParcelForce, saying my parcel would be delivered on Wed 6/4/22.
6/4/22 (0738) Received text from ParcelForce, saying my parcel would be delivered today, between 0901-1001.
6/4/22 (0915) Parcel safely delivered, with correct bottle of Lysholm Original Linie Aquavit.

The right product, at a good price, promptly delivered. First time I have dealt with this company, and I am a happy customer.

Appalling customer service. We wanted to return some of the items as the product was poor quality and were told that we had to pay a 20% restocking fee and pay for the cost of the return. I will be using Majestics from now on, who have the following on their website:
"If you don't enjoy one of our wines, just let us know and we'll recommend a replacement we think you'll love, or give you your money back."

I was so pleased when a hard to find champagne was showing in stock & when I ordered I put a comment in the delivery instructions section that I needed it by a particular date as it was a gift. I left a couple of messages & emails & was eventually told 24 hours before I needed it that they wouldn’t be able to fulfil the order leaving me no time to buy from elsewhere in time for a birthday. I accept that sometimes things are out of stock & had they told me a week ago that they couldn’t fulfil the order, I wouldn’t have minded. Sadly this shows a very poor management/customer service & I probably should have looked at the reviews before I ordered. :(

Have been buying from this company for a long time now, every order is delivered with a couple of days and is correct. No problems so 5 stars.

DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER WITH THIS COMPANY

Ordered 6 bottles Butchers Block Shiraz, received Butchers Block Red, a cheaper and inferior wine. We paid for the former.
We made 47 phone calls, no reply. We left 4 messages, no reply, we sent e mails, no reply.
This would appear to be a bogus outfit who do not stock the wines but buy them in if they can once you have ordered. They do not answer the phone, they do not answer messages, they do not respond to any form of communication. THIS IS APPARENTLY THEIR MODUS OPERANDI.

Atrocious. Product listed as in stock, but obviously wasn't. Heard nothing for a month, got as far as 'shipping' but still nothing. Had a couple of responses to emails but then they went silent. Just don't bother - they are, it would seem, scam artists.

Odered on 8th July, no dispatch date, delivery date nor tracking number given, contacted twice, replied on second contact, turns out my order won't be despatched until a week after l ordered it, no explanation given, this was a gift and will now arrive late, poor customer service, will definitely not be using this firm again.

If you want to know a bit more about this company try their previous two identities, simplywinesdirect.co.uk or ministryofdrinks.co.uk. Apparently all dissolved or dormant companies not actively trading despite accepting my order. Don't use, save yourself the headache.
Have told them cancel my order having read their reviews and having been unable to speak to anyone. Be interesting to see if they respond to this or contact me at all. Not holding my breath.
