Excellent service from start to beginning

Avoid using this service at all costs. I thought their lack of urgency and initiative was the most frustrating thing to deal with but it’s actually their shocking communication. Expect delays, staff not responding to emails or calls and no sense of urgency of following up with other solicitors. You are just one of hundreds of people they are dealing with and really the outcome doesn’t matter to this company.

Despite trouble with buyers, 5 dropped out they stuck with it and on the final day exchange and completion happened quickly and I received the funds within an hour.

Utterly awful service for what should have been a simple chain. Whilst some issues have been outside of my solicitors control, there have been several issues which have not been chased up due what I can only assume is a lack of care and attention to detail. Three times I have had to chase up paperwork that I was asked to sign yet was not sent. On one occasion I was chased for paperwork I had returned two weeks earlier that was entirely missed. An outdated management pack appeared to have been missed/not followed up until I complained and it was noticed, creating what has now been a further 2 month delay. It’s impossible to get updates and even when I chase updates I usually go a week without hearing back. I have no faith in this company communicating with me nor with my sellers solicitors. I have asked for copies of invoices which weeks later have yet to be provided, and have lost track of the additional costs that have been added along the way. I have escalated this through the estate agent who heavily recommended I use them to speed up the process with my buyer. I wish I had used my own solicitor, I am now in a position where I have no idea where I am in the process, neither my solicitor nor my estate agent are responding to me, and I am left sick with worry over the financial implications of this chain falling apart. I have never known a company with such a poor attitude to communicating with a client, and having absolutely no way of being able to get answers given that my emails are going unanswered.

I am a first-time buyer, and unfortunately my experience with Simply Conveyancing has completely ruined what should have been an exciting milestone.

Both the seller and the estate agent strongly encouraged me to use Simply Conveyancing, explaining that it would help make the process quicker and smoother. On that basis, I agreed. I completed everything requested of me within around three weeks of my offer being accepted, yet more than 17 weeks later we are still waiting for enquiries to be completed on what is a straightforward chain-free purchase.

There have been no survey issues, no chain complications, and no significant problems that would reasonably justify a delay of this length. Despite this, progress has been painfully slow. I have repeatedly had to chase for updates and there appears to be very little urgency, communication, or accountability. Even the estate agent has advised that delays seem to be arising from the seller's side, yet nothing appears to move forward.

The lack of transparency and poor communication have been incredibly frustrating. I still have not received a clear explanation as to why such a simple transaction has taken so long.

As a first-time buyer, this process should have been an exciting experience. Instead, it has become a source of constant stress and anxiety. The delays have had a significant impact on my personal life and mental wellbeing, forcing me to repeatedly change plans and live with ongoing uncertainty.

What makes it even more disappointing is that I chose this firm based on recommendations from the seller and estate agent that it would speed things up. In reality, it has done the complete opposite.

If you're looking for a proactive conveyancing firm that communicates effectively and progresses matters efficiently, I would struggle to recommend Simply Conveyancing based on my experience.

Fantastic customer service from day one. The Team were keen to ensure I knew they were there to support each part of the journey and nothing was to much trouble. They went the extra mile to guide and lead me through the process and ultimately to a successful conclusion.

Would highly recommend simply conveyancing.
We had a long wait due to the house we were buying and their solicitors but simply conveyancing kept chasing and doing everything as quick as they could when documents and other things were completed by the other side.
