I had a very positive experience with Simply Conveyancing, in particular working with Bethany Summers as my property lawyer. As a first time buyer, there were a couple of moments where I felt anxious and worried that things were not moving as quickly as I expected, but in hindsight that was part of the process. Bethany was extremely thorough and did an excellent job of chasing all parties for responses to both her queries and mine. She was always available for calls, very responsive on email, and clearly explained each step. Overall, the service was efficient, reassuring, and of a high standard. I would happily recommend her.

Using this company at the minute and would not recommend to anyone. Very slow at responding to emails, that’s if they respond. Phone calls never answered and no return calls.
If they do respond to emails they only answer some of the questions and totally ignore other. Online portal doesn’t get updated. Had to keep asking. Finally after 2 weeks they marked they’d received the paperwork they’d had for 2 weeks. Now waiting for an answer to a question that we’ve asked 3 times as we want to get our contracts sent back but we can’t without an answer.

We had a very disappointing experience with Simply Conveyancing, marked by poor communication and a lack of organisation throughout the entire process.

From the outset, our solicitor frequently failed to respond to emails. When we raised this issue, the manager assured us it would be addressed with the case worker. Unfortunately, nothing improved—in fact, communication worsened, and eventually even the manager stopped responding.

The company advertises that you can contact your solicitor directly via a dedicated phone line, but in reality, calls were never answered. This made it extremely difficult to get updates or clarity when needed.

Five months after being appointed, we were suddenly informed that our ID verification had not been completed and needed to be redone. We were also asked—very late in the process—for documentation linking us to the property, which should have been requested much earlier. These delays reflect a serious lack of organisation and attention to detail.

Overall, the experience was frustrating and unnecessarily stressful, especially given that their fees are higher than many other conveyancers. The service did not come close to matching the promises made in their marketing.

We would strongly advise others to avoid this company. Based on our experience, we wouldn’t use their services again—even if they were free.

Everything was made very straightforward. Regular updates from my solicitor and via the portal. Solicitors very friendly and 'human', genuinely care for their clients. Would definitely recommend them
