Magna Gardens Shanly Homed

Magna Gardens Shanly Homed, Lexi and Rosie were an absolute great help with the purchase process. Made everything easy and were always on hand to answer questions and give advice and Lexi, Adam and Fraser (site team) were especially helpful post completion to ensure we settled in well. And of course the team back in head office are always on hand.

I just wanted to write a review to say anyone thinking of moving to Magna Gardens will receive an amazing service! And a beautiful home of course.
As a first time buyer the sales lady Lexi was so attentive and explained everything very simply to myself and my partner.
We visited several times and each time she was the same.
Accommodating and nothing was too much trouble.
We loved the 3 bed and down to personal circumstances we cannot proceed.
We have looked at lots of New build and not one can compare to the 3 bed room we saw at Magna Gardens.
Huge rooms lovely garden nd the view was amazing.
Lexi we hope to see you again as we would love to buy our first home from you.
Thank you for all the kindness patience and knowledge you shared with us.
You will definitely see us again.

We have recently moved into our new home in Purley. Lexi has been nothing but short of great keeping us up to date with what’s going and answering any questions we have. She has gone above and beyond to make sure we moved in at a time that suited us and we couldn’t be more grateful.

The house itself is beautiful any issues we picked up when we moved in were solved within a day or two or immediately. Couldn’t ask for anymore from Shanly!

Kerrie, Rosie, Sally & Mike were all amazing with helping me choose the right apartment for my first home. Couldn’t thank them enough, they were transparent and constantly kept me updated which helped calm my nerves (especially as I’ve never been through a property purchase before). On the day of exchange, Kerrie was genuinely excited for me which made the experience that extra bit special and I was left with a lovely hamper and key ring! Even after I’ve moved in they are checking in to see how everything is going and have been on hand for any questions I had. 10/10 experience, and the home itself is just LOVELY.

An amazing new home

My wife and I recently bought a new-built house from Shanly Homes, and we couldn’t be happier.
We have prior experience with new-builds, having bought a flat in a new-built building by another developer just before, and the flat wasn’t without its surprises.
Like many house buyers, we’ve had our worries, but Shanly Homes have shown that buying a new-built house can be a pleasant experience and they have been attentive and caring through-out.
We have generally had good response from their Customer Care team in sorting out snagging or minor issues and they have been friendly, caring and professional.
The house itself is well designed, smartly thought-out and very homey, and the development feels exclusive, quiet, and safe.
A big shout out to the Shanly Homes people and others involved who have made our experience a great one.
Rozzy and Jazz, who have shown great competence and clearly guided us through the sales process.
Natalie and Paula, who took great care of us, especially on our move-in day, and who have promptly expedited any snagging issues needing extra attention.
Rory, the site manager, who, on many occasions, has taken time out of his day to help us understand equipment and ins and outs around the house.
And Darren, who has gone the extra mile to help us out with snagging and who is always professional and cheerful.

The whole experience of purchasing a new home from Shanly has been a pleasure. The workmanship of the property is first class. Amazing Sales Team

Little Green, Aston Clinton Development

Having recently moved into a Shanly Home (located in Aston Clinton, Little Green Development) we have been really happy with the entire experience. The sales team who greets you on site were particularly helpful throughout the process and having viewed a few new build estates in that area we were really impressed with the high level of finish. Once we moved in and had a survey undertaken there was some major snags discovered but Shanly’s team were quick to resolve the majority of these.

Despicable Company and Staff

Despicable Company and Staff. Staff are extremely rude and condescending. Constantly felt like I was being lied to and pushed to something I don't want. The 'Sales Manager' sam speaks to you like you are a child and an ignoramus, when he can't even dress correctly with his shirt hanging out and hands in his pockets, like he does not care. Appalling attitude and will never buy from them and nor shall my friends that have also had similar experiences recently at magna gardens

Exceptional quality and service

Having recently purchased a property from Shanly Homes I am absolutely thrilled with my experience from start to finish. The moment I stepped into their Show Home to the day I received the keys to our forever home every interaction with the Sales Team has been exceptional.
The quality of craftsmanship in the new home is outstanding. From the sturdy construction to the attention to detail in every finish, I can see Shanly Homes takes immense pride in their work. The design of the property is both modern and functional, creating a space that truly feels like home.
Throughout the purchasing process, the Sales Team demonstrated professionalism, passion and expertise. From being readily available to answer any questions, actively listening to special particularities the Team went over and above to accommodate these and offered transparent communication every step of the way. It is evident that they genuinely care about their customers and strive to ensure a smooth and stress free experience.
Moreover, what in my opinion sets Shanly homes apart is their commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The efforts to include eco-friendly features into the development are helping to reduce the environmental footprint while also providing residents with energy-efficient homes.
Overall, my experience with Shanly Homes has been outstanding and I am truly happy with my decision to purchase a property from the. i recommend Shanly Homes to anyone in search of a high quality home from a reputable builder who truly cares about their customers.

DO NOT DEAL WITH SHANLY HOMES

I would leave no stars if I could.DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! THEY ARE TERRIBLE TO DEAL WITH? I AGREED TO BUY WITH A COMPLETION DATE OF MARCH. THE DAY BEFORE EXCHANGE I WAS TOLD IT WAS GOING TO BE December, and only was only told that as I was chasing them, maybe even later. They made no offer of compensation to me and clearly didn’t care. I had to chasE and chase for an answer, to be given NOTHING AT ALL, let alone an explanation or even an apology. I had to withdraw from my purchase and have been left in a very difficult situation. I have recently lost my husband and the distress their unscrupulous way of doing business has caused is unbearable.they knew I had secured and paid a rental until May and they then changed the parameters with no recourse to me at all. I am now trying to get them to pay for my legal fees due to the abortive sale but they do not answer any email, not even a courtesy. I can only say DO NOT DEAL WITH SHANLY. I know they are poor on after care, I think this is generally know, but they profess to be a caring family business, but they clearly are not.

Unfortunately, matters beyond our control meant that the completion dates we had originally believed to be achievable became untenable despite significant efforts on our part. We accept that the communication between ourselves and yourself could have been better, we apologise for this and can assure you that we are internally investigating and will make improvements where required. We understand that our sales team has been working with you to reimburse out of pocket expenses and we hope this will be concluded very soon.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful! DO NOT BUY SHARED OWNERSHIP!! wish I had seen a review like this when I bought the property. They do not come to fix the issues in the new build and also they have sent their mortgage documents in late so now have to pay double. PLEASE AVOID THESE PEOPLE

I am delighted by the quality, care and service. Having bought new builds previously from high end competitors I have had a better quality finish, follow up and attention to detail then these.

Overall very happy with service

Have recently been in the process of purchasing a property at their Lightfield development - although the progress was delayed much longer than expected, the staff here have been consistently helpful and attentive when we have visited this site. Previously we had some trouble with getting updates on the progress of the site, but Maria in particular has been fantastic at resolving this, since coming onboard she’s gone above and beyond to keep us informed and updated at every stage.
Paul at Shanly and the site manager Damien were also very helpful with resolving a few of our snagging issues within the property very quickly.

Toxic Liquid damages cars

A known issue this Nasty Liquid that leaks onto cars at Rembrandt Place Car Park in Watford.
BS and delays over repairing the damage to my car. Had to make claim on my insurance.
Shanly replied on 7 Aug 2023 saying
"We are aware of this issue within the car park and hope for a resolution very soon.

That's 3 months ago for an issue that has been going on for over 2 years.

I have had to sell my car at a loss and now have no car. I am 55yrs old having to cycle in winter.
