I have recently purchased a vehicle from SG Petch Darlington and was given excellent guidance and support from Ryan in doing so. Without being pushy, Ryan assisted me to choose a vehicle that suited my requirements and gave me the opportunity to carry out a realistic test drive that enabled me to test the car’s performance and suitability. Whilst being professional, Ryan’s sense of humour and friendliness put me at ease and made the process of selecting and purchasing the car straightforward. When I went to collect the car, everything was in order and I was really appreciative of Ryan’s support in assisting me with some technical details and taking the time to demonstrate the car’s specifications which were all new to me. No problem with the MOT Service and Body Shop
However the main problem with McMullen Road is getting to the Site for 8.30AM through gridlocked roads if travelling from any distance outside Darlington.
I was also told that I would be met on arrival and could hand my car over straight away but the new entrance I was told to go to was largely taken up by a Car Transporter and there was no one there to meet me.

I recently had to book my car in for a first service and from first contact to getting my car back the staff at SG Petch were efficient and friendly. The showroom is impeccable and the ladies on the servicing desk made me feel welcome which made the whole experience feel a bit more personal. The car came back clean and serviced.
I can't fault any aspect of my visit to SG Petch Durham and they made the whole process really straight forward.

My buying experience with SG Petch was not a positive one.
The car I bought needed 2 new tyres as per MOT advisory. The current set front / back were manufacturers recommended Continental.
SG Petch put on budget summer tyres, when I asked for the replacements to be like for like I was told their policy was budget tyres on replacements, and I was given a 'take it or leave it' offer where they asked I pay the difference between budget and non budget tyres and that was their final decision, and this they called a 'goodwill gesture'. I paid the difference.
Buyer beware, check whatever replacement/service part this dealer adds, make sure they use genuine parts and are not cheaping out.

There were communication problems to begin with regarding my booking for new front tyres. However the staff were very good at resolving the problem for me and I will be returning in a few weeks for rear tyres.

Always a pleasure to visit SG Petch, all the staff at the Sunderland showroom are just lovely people and so welcoming, always welcomed with a handshake by Roy, Graeme and manager Chris, the showroom is clean and tidy with plenty of space to move around, the only downside is lack of car parking space outside as sometimes you have to park on the street, the handovers if buying a new vehicle or getting a car serviced is done smoothly and efficiently, oh and the Kia cars are just a brilliant
