Easy to navigate, made ordering easy

Ordered a carbon monoxide detector, as a replacement for an old unit. The item arrived as expected, but was slow to be sent. The batteries included were loose, Duracell. (Not Kodak in sealed plastic). When inserted, the fault light came on and the unit alarmed repeatedly, I checked the batteries they show full charge. I contacted the company, with these details no reply until the end of day 48 hours later. I had initially asked for a refund or replacement. The response asked what I wanted, so I replied refund. I received a response today, Monday, asking for batch numbers and photographs. Surely this could have been requested in the initial message? I have now contacted eBay to request a refund. Looking at other reviews I found similar problems with other customers. Given the poor attitude and slow response I have bought a similar item, same brand, from a local shop, with batteries sealed in plastic, it worked immediately.

Terrible experience with Safelincs. Cancelled my order because after 15 days it had not been dispatched. Emails went unanswered, and have still not been answered to this day. Had to go onto their online chat to twist their arm into giving me a refund. I don’t know how they received such a good rating on trustpilot, but right now in April 2026 this company is completely dysfunctional and unprofessional.

Order arrived as advised, unit fitted perfectly to old base, charged up and regular test works. Unknown is what happens if there is a real incident and I’m hoping that will never be tested.

I made a mistake during the on line ordering process, I telephoned and was both surprised and delighted when the 'phone was answered by a human being. The responder corrected my error and the corrected order faithfully executed. That, in today's on line world was a welcome surprise, long may you continue to offer such a supportive service.

Clear information to select which type of smoke alarm. Swift delivery so 3 new smoke alarms fitted for the next 10 years.

Great website. We needed to replace our smoke alarms and heat alarm as they were over 10 years old. I wasn’t sure how to do this as they are mains wired but the website offered solutions for newer alarms that were compatible with the bases. They just slotted on. Only slight issue was one of the batteries supplied was out of power but we just used the battery from our old alarm. Delivery was really quick too.

I ordered three smoke alarms a heat alarm and a control unit. All arrived together, on time and well packaged. I found it easy to follow the instructions to pair all the items together and when tested everything worked as it should. Fitting the items in their respective places was straight forward with all fixings provided. They are small, neat and unobtrusive but very loud. I had no need to ask for help at any point. I am a 78 year old widow!

I’m still waiting for this item. Went on their chat to be told it wasn’t in stock when I ordered it and the shipment is delayed until 19/4. When I asked why I wasn’t told this the chat went off. Hung up obviously. So I’ve no item yet! Ordered on 13/3.

DraughtEx is a really great product and really great service from Safelincs. Very easy to install and works perfectly.

The order process with Safelincs was good but the quality of the FD60 firedoor I received was not. The top and bottom of the door was just wrapped in clingfilm, offering no protection during transit hence the veneer was badly chipped along the bottom. It was also meant to be primed for painting but parts of it wasn't. Safelincs dont manufacture the doors only supply them but that's little consultation.

I received a faulty unit. The customer services team were great and extremely efficient in sorting out a replacement, it arrived the very next day and they even speeded up my further order for no extra cost. I am extremely impressed. Only reason I didn't give five stars was the batteries sold with the units need to be Duracell. The batteries supplied with the units are useless (not Safelincs fault).
