Terrible customer service
I ordered a whole Scudo bathroom from Rubberduck because the sales adviser was so friendly and helpful on the phone. Unfortunately the aftercare was a different story. When I phoned to follow up about a chipped unit I had received, the customer service advisor was rude and abrupt, saying he had 70 emails to deal with and not to expect him to talk on the phone. Not ideal when you have a plumber in your house asking what you want to do with a damaged part. When I received a reply from Rubberduck the next day, we were told they would not replace it because our plumber screwed it onto the cupboard to see if we could see the chips once it was in place. This meant we had 'accepted' the product and it would cost £175 for us to replace the chipped part. Nothing was connected or plumbed in and we could easily repack it as delivered but this technicality meant I had no rights to an exchange.
On opening up our mirrored cupboard the following week and seeing it smashed to pieces, I held little hope of Rubberduck stepping in to replace the glass. We were just over 14 days from receiving it and I hoped they would understand that the chips in the sink unit had delayed the tradesmen and therefore, we had not opened the mirror within 14 days. Again, computer said no and there was no human touch or flexibility in policy.
It's such a shame that old fashioned customer service doesn't exist in this company. Of course I should have opened the boxes and checked every item on delivery. This was my mistake and I won't be making it again. Unless you are prepared to do this, please don't order from Rubberduck.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we’re genuinely sorry for the frustration you’ve had, we do understand how stressful it is when issues arise during an installation.
Regarding the chipped unit, we appreciate your explanation, but the images provided showed more than just placing the basin on the unit. Both the tap and overflow had already been fitted, indicating that installation had begun. Neither of which would have affected the view of the chips mentioned. Because we’re not the manufacturer, any damage claim must be approved by them, and once a unit has been installed in any capacity (plumbed in or not) they class it as accepted. We detail this across the website pre-sale and in all emails sent post-sale to help customers as best we can.
This is standard practice across all bathroom retailers, and unfortunately meant they would not replace it under warranty. We did offer to replace the unit as close to cost price as possible to help resolve the matter.
We fully appreciate how disappointing this outcome was, and we’re sorry it left you feeling let down after your initial positive experience with us.

I'm a delivery driver of 20+ years…
I'm a delivery driver of 20+ years experience. I returned an item on Friday for a customer and was met by 2 employees, one of which I sadly didn't get his name. The other I know only as N Wallis.
Today 8th December I coincidentally had to return another item for a different customer (both customers had ordered the wrong size) and was again met by Mr Wallis.
On both occasions I was highly impressed by this employee. I found him to be friendly, professional and extremely helpful.
I'm no spring chicken and I would have had a problem to unload the item without his willingness to help me.
I find the staff I have met there extremely good and Mr. Wallis is a credit to their company.

Items not delivered
Items not delivered. Called in for an update, was told I would receive a callback, this did not happen. I called in again, and then told DHL said it was delayed with no ETA. The same behaviour from DHL happened the previous day, and this was explained to Rubber Duck, but they said they could do nothing about it. When explaining I paid for delivery, Rubber Ducks said delivery charge was cheap and that they pay more. I said I had tradespeople booked in, and I was told not to book tradespeople until receiving and quality checking products. Having run numerous projects, it is clear this company should not be trusted as they do not even trust their own products, unwilling to escalate failed deliveries and do not understand just in time processing during projects.
Edit post Rubber Ducks comment: I regulary run projects and purchase from reputable companies like Victoria Plumbing. Guess what I don't have these issues. Furthermore see the comment from the courier DHL who have a professional response as opposed to your defensive and cowboy remarks: Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience you have experienced.
I truly appreciate your feedback and understand how frustrating this must have been for you.
I acknowledge your concerns regarding the tracking service, delayed responses, and delivery times outside the expected window.
This is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide, and I regret that your experience fell short of expectations.

We're sorry to hear you've been unhappy with the service.
To be clear, you placed your order on the evening of the 23rd, it was dispatched using a tracked service on the morning of the 24th (with an ETA of the 25th-26th) and your delivery was completed on the evening of the 26th, as detailed pre and post sale.
This is the busiest time of the year for online retail and your order was delivered within the timeframes advised.
We trust the products we sell implicitly, we do not however place 100% trust in the courier networks available in the UK, as damages or delays can occur.
Every reputable bathroom company in the UK will advise you plan ahead to avoid issues with late or damaged deliveries, as it's industry standard to do so.
We hope you have the common decency to redress this review given the above explanation but we won't hold our breath.

Truly awful company - AVOID
I recently returned a brand-new, completely undamaged shower tray to Rubber Duck Bathrooms, and the experience has been nothing short of disgraceful.
Despite the item itself being in perfect condition, they refused to issue a refund because the packaging had brown tape on it. Yes, you read that correctly - not because the product was faulty, damaged, or used, but because the cardboard box no longer met their personal standards of “resaleable.” Clear tape, they said it would be fine.
This is not how consumer law works, and they know it. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, retailers cannot legally refuse a refund simply because retail packaging has cosmetic damage. The actual goods determine refund eligibility, not whether the cardboard looks pretty enough for them to resell. Yet Rubber Duck Bathrooms continues to push this excuse as though their own “policy” overrides UK law.
To add insult to injury, they tried to position this as my fault and claimed they were “within their rights” - which they absolutely are not. The shower tray is completely resellable and untouched. Their refusal is purely a tactic to avoid honouring the law and doing the right thing.
If you’re thinking of ordering from them, consider what will happen if you ever need to return something. Expect delays, blame-shifting, and a complete disregard for your legal rights.
I strongly advise avoiding Rubber Duck Bathrooms and choosing a retailer that respects customers - and the law.

There was an internal miscommunication regarding the condition of the returned item. The resolution was initially put forward on the understanding that the shower tray had been returned without any packaging applied. Once management became aware that this was not the case and that the tray itself was returned undamaged and the it was merely the packaging that was not fit for resale, the refund was actioned as it should have been when the return was first reported.
We completely understand how disappointing this was and apologise that it wasn’t handled correctly from the outset. Your feedback has been taken on board so we can make sure similar situations are dealt with more clearly and promptly in future.

Snail's pace delivery and abject customer service
After multiple phone calls, we're still no closer to receiving our order for a shower niche that we placed 13 working days ago. It's holding back the completion of our bathroom renovation. Rubberduck Bathrooms have passed the blame onto their manufacturer and courier rather than doing what they can to sort the issue.
Gave Rubberduck yet another call this afternoon. The guy said he'd call back with an update, 2 hours later he hasn't bothered.

Complete lie.
Totally disappointed with this company. I purchased a rubber duck toilet just under a year ago and the soft close lid is not performing as it should. You have to pull it down a certain amount now before it works. I went on YouTube and it showed how to fix a faulty soft close lid. They say it’s the lack of grease over time, and they showed how to fix it. As the soft soft close lid is still under warranty I called this company. They stated you have to drop the lid down quite away before the soft close works, and they would not replace it. That is such a load of rubbish, it never happened before, it’s just started to act like that. Would definitely not recommend this company to anyone. HAVE JUST READ RUBBERDUCKS REPLY. I SENT THEM A VIDEO OF MY SEAT NOT WORKING, AND SHOWING THE SEAT LEANING OVER ABOUT 120%THEY ARE SAYING IT NEEDS TO TILT AT 90% OR MORE. I THINK 120% IS MORE THAN 90%. THERE REPLY IS AN ABSOLUTE LIE, AND CANNOT BELIEVE A COMPANY COULD BEHAVE LIKE THIS.

After reviewing the video you kindly provided, we could see that the soft-close mechanism on your toilet seat was functioning correctly - the seat begins to close shortly after it passes the upright point, which is how the mechanism is designed to operate. The seat won’t close when fully upright, as this prevents unnecessary strain on the hinges and extends the life of the soft-close system.
We completely understand your frustration, as any change in movement can make it feel like a fault, but in this case, the mechanism is working as intended and within the manufacturer’s specifications.
We do appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and are always happy to offer guidance on maintaining the seat to keep it performing smoothly.
