Si vous tenez à vos vacances, passez votre chemin. Rent a Star à l'aéroport de Porto est une honte absolue du début à la fin.
Le service commence par un mensonge : ils étaient censés venir nous récupérer à l'aéroport à l'heure d'arrivée indiquée lors de la réservation. Évidemment, il n'y avait personne. J'essaie de les joindre avec les deux numéros de téléphone fournis sur le bon de location : le premier est carrément non attribué, et le second renvoie vers un siège où personne n'a daigné répondre après trois appels.
Nous avons donc été contraints de faire le trajet jusqu'à l'agence à pied, en traînant toutes nos valises.
Une fois enfin sur place, la douche froide. Ils refusent de nous remettre le véhicule au prétexte que ma carte bancaire est une carte de débit et non de crédit. Mais là où la mauvaise foi se transforme en véritable malhonnêteté, c'est lorsqu'ils ont catégoriquement refusé de me fournir un document attestant que je m'étais bien présenté au comptoir. Une technique de voyous bien rodée pour vous déclarer en "no-show" auprès du courtier et s'assurer que vous perdiez l'intégralité de votre argent.
Et pour couronner ce service client abyssal ? Ils ne nous ont évidemment pas proposé de nous ramener à l'aéroport. Ils nous ont laissés repartir à pied, toujours chargés de nos bagages, nous laissant totalement livrés à nous-mêmes pour trouver une solution de secours.
Aucun professionnalisme, aucun respect du client, aucune empathie. Rent a Star porte très mal son nom : ils ne méritent même pas une seule étoile. Fuyez et allez chez de vrais professionnels.

Renting from this company was a nightmare. When exchanging a broken-down car at their Porto station, a staff member (who admitted he wasn't a mechanic) claimed without a shred of evidence that I put the wrong fuel in the car.

With a 2,000-euro security deposit on the line, I was forced to pay an extra 738 euros (on top of this security deposit) on the spot or be left stranded on foot. It was pure extortion. When I asked to speak to the supervisor, they refused to talk to me, and all subsequent follow-ups were completely ignored.

I spend the rest of the week concerned about what extra charge they would make up to take part of the 2000 euros I already had with them.

I left the country with zero proof, zero accountability, and a massive overcharge. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this company.

Tout simplement des voleurs. Ils ont cherché tout les prétextes pour ne pas me laisser le véhicule que javais loué avec AutoEurope. Résultat je suis à pied avec 3 enfants en bas âge mis à la porte de leur agence à 23h50. Personnel méprisant. Aucune recherche de solutions. J'ai perdu mon argent et mon temps et je me retrouve 2 semaines sur place sans moyen de transports. Fuyez cette agence.

Unicamente o que se passou comigo .que me roubaram mas ja estamos abituados nessa firma nunca mais onde a minha voz chegar ,Amigos ,colegas, denro do proprio lAeroporto direi sempre que essa firma nao presta .

Isto é um roubo eu quando entreguei o carro estava td bem e nao tinha nenhum problema no carro e o rapaz levou o carro para o parque e eu lhe perguntei estava td bem e se tinha que assinar alguma coisa e ele disse que era td eu sei la quando ele conduziu para ir estacionar la fora se nao entrou o parafuso no pneu entao tem que fazer os carros para voar so pode ser porque eu quando entreguei o carro no bordo do carro nao apareceu nada no ecra sobre problema nos pneus enfim façam bom proveito eu nunca mais vou alugar carro com a vossa companhia e vou recomendar as pessoas para nao alugarem porque isso nao se faz cobrar isso td por causa de um parafuso enfim cobraram 450 euros por causa de um parafuso é melhor começarem a alugar carros para voar

Rent a Star Lisboa: Good car, but very poor service!

We had to wait 60 minutes for the shuttle (with an infant), and then another 45 minutes at the rental location — despite there being no other customers.
It was a very frustrating experience.

You also have to pay an extra €15 to €25 for cleaning the car, which is usually included in the price with other rental companies.

Excellent company, good prices, great cars. Repeat rentals. Never an issue.

I have used Rent A Star for a couple of times. Mostly when I needed a big van for moving. The prices are lower than other rental cars. The staff are always helpful, and try all their best for you. They can also help you with finding good places to watch the Northern Lights, give you directions, or even help where you're lost! Best car rental in Tromsø/Tromsoe!!

Vous arrivez à l aéroport personnes pour vous prendre. j ai demandé 3 fois .j ai du me rendre à pied pour récupérer la voiture .voiture bon état très propre rien à dire .

Luis provided an excellent service all round. Brilliant cars at hand and "no-fuss" policy for a tiny spec on car, like some of the sharks out there ie KWS

Nous rendons notre véhicule, est suprise une mini fissure sur un clignotent du rétroviseur et voila 550€ a paie!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I use rental company’s 5/6 times a year. I will never use this company again. They look good because they can be reasonably priced and cars are nice. They do this to reel you in for there hidden charges. €45 out of ours charge, double if you get stung dropping it back. There’s a €25 charge if it’s not been washed too when you return the car. Nobody waiting in arrivals, had to wait almost 40mins to be picked up and if I hadn’t gone out side too look he wouldn’t have come into the terminal. Got charged for toll device rental on pick up, then I was charged again for it as a charge to my card after I returned home. When I defended this by sending the receipt they have then failed to contact me again. I told them that a bad review was coming and I was told, go for it! Stay away from this company they shouldn’t be in business

Je loue régulièrement des voitures à l’aéroport de Porto, j’avais arrêté de louer à Rent a star trop exigeant avec quelques soucis sans passer qu’on te facture en plus le lavage à la fin, j’ai voulu revenir à ce loueur, pour te rendre le véhicule c’est tout juste s’ils font le tour, mais quand tu rends le véhicule ils épluchent tout.
Un petit impact sur le pare choc arrière déjà plein de rayures et d’impacts, et comme part hasard ils on trouvé un impact soit disant qu’il n’était pas là avant 492€ c’est tout simplement du vol, sur de dizaines de locations déjà fait à Porto avec d’autres loueurs, jamais de problèmes
On vous attire avec un prix attractif et a la fin vous payez le prix fort

Pick up complicated because both credit cards were declined. Not because of a bank error or overdrawn. Resulted in a very long process. The car was a fantastic C200 clean, sturdy and extremely comfortable. Return experience was again a bummer: unhelpful personnel + long wait for shuttle bus.

Horrible service, scam! My parents went to Portugal and reserved a car a Rent a Star. No one was there to pick them up, after calling and waiting for half a hour somebody showed op. They had to pay a 60 euro cleaning fee upfront even it was not in the agreement. After trying to pay the deposit of 1950 euro (which was availlable on their 5! creditcards) the payment terminal refused to accept the deposit. My parents ended up eventually with no car and had to take a taxi. After care from easy terra is even worse. No refund, no appology and no calling back (even when they promised that). Just a big scam, never go there!
