My favorite supplier
I've ordered many times from Rapid Electronics, and each time they have been informative and well-stocked, with a huge selection that makes them a true one-stop shop. Their delivery service is among the best in the business: logistics are excellent, orders arrive on time, well-packaged, and always undamaged. A superb service and my go-to supplier.

BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE
13th Apr @11:00hrs I ordered a Stanley 179206 Rolling Workshop box, for £96 inc P&P. I duly received an order confirmation, which stated that there was 4 of these items in stock, and my item would be dispatched in 2 working days. So far, so good.
Then 13th Apr 15:02hrs I received an email stating that this item was now discontinued and my order would be cancelled and I would be getting a refund.
Surely with 4 items being in stock, my order would have been secure. Or was it the cost of P&P that made the sale unavailable. Either way it's very poor business practice, at least a phone call explaining the situation would have been appropriate.
It could have been a lot worst, I was going to place a much larger order today. I just don't use unreliable suppliers.

Prompt well packaged delivery
Prompt, well packaged delivery of good product. My order was placed over a weekend; it was dispatched on the first working day thereafter, and delivered (to Northern Ireland) less than 48hrs later. Happy to recommend on this basis.
