Bathwick/Protyre did a great job. Ordered 2 tyres, the gent Nick made a bay free for the car and sorted my tyres out within 30 minutes.

Lovely friendly people. Tyre changed job done. They were very busy but I had booked and didn’t have to wait long.

I sent my son to change the rear tyres on my car. This is a low value vehicle, but a useful tool. He asked for budget/cheapest tyres to get the car back on the road and repair a puncture. I would expect your manager to understand the request and check with the client to gain authority to proceed and not to end up with a unexpected bill, like in this case. Top of the range Pirelli tyres were fitted and including the puncture repair, he was presented with an invoice for £350 + VAT. When queried, he was told that these were the only tyres available in that size. As a young man, he was unsure what best to do, so paid the bill and leave. I advised him to go there as I had used this depot before and had good service. I will go elsewhere in the future and if any positive can be taken from this, my son has learnt a lesson in poor management and customer service.

Went to have tyre fitted, waited in waiting room, they took my car and it was very quick, to fit tyre and do tracking, very impressed,

I turned up without prior booking but I was able to get my tyre fitted on within 30 minutes of arrival. Competitive pricing and free coffee!

Fantastic service. I called them early in the afternoon as I thought my car had a slow puncture and they gave me an appointment for less than 2 hours later. After checking the tyre thoroughly, they couldn’t find a puncture but replaced the valve and sealed the beading (which seems to have done the trick) and didn’t charge me anything. Friendly, helpful and quick service and I would definitely return here for any further tyre issues.

Really unimpressed with Pro-tyre, Trowbridge performance on Saturday, 6 December, 2025.

Car dropped-off early doors at the right time slot for two new tyres and pre-booked and paid on Tuesday 2, December. Busy day with lots to do.

After some head scratching, folder slamming and paper sifting, I was advised that it would take at least 2.5 hours plus to fit the types due the depot being very busy...it wasn't; and I've been served faster and more efficiently at the depot when it was a truly busy Saturday. Only one tyre bay was occupied.

The reality was that the tyres had not been ordered. This was denied but the tyres could not been seen, as I asked, and appeared to really annoy the reception handler.

I was told if would take far longer than an hour - "no point waiting", but the depot would "call me when the car was ready"...they didn't.

I called at 1.30pm and was told the car was ready at 12pm..."as we told you". The same reception handler and he didn't say that.

Overall, not a great experience, lacking some trust and faith and a recoverable situation with some honesty. Everyone is capable of a simple administrative error.

I was badly inconvenienced with the delay, needing alternative transport on a wet day and not experienced before.

I won't be back. Well done Pro-tyre, Trowbridge Reception. You've lost the business of four family vehicles work.

Here's a consumer top-tip. If you want to use Pro-tyre and pay less than their own website / retail site, order your tyres via asdatyres.co.uk and book fitting at Pro-trye...but there are other tyre fitters with more integrity.

Postscript 08.12.25...

Received a prompt Pro-tyre Customer Services contact - Monday 08.12.25 with a proposal that an Area Manager would investigate and...not a word, call or acknowledgement received since, as of 22.12.25. Validating a believe of simple lip service in the hope the customer will forget about their poor service experience. Not so. Unimpressed.
